Chapter 29: Secret Love Your Home is Here
On the way back, Yun Sui asked Lin Chi'an, "Do you want to go back to the upper city?"
Lin Chi'an was stunned for a few seconds and shook his head.
His father's new family lives in the upper city, which is no longer his home. Not many of his relatives have any connection with him.
He did not want the Lin family's property, so he started his own business early and isolated himself so that he could choose not to go back.
Seeing his reaction, Yun Sui asked, "Then why do you want to go back?"
Lin Chi'an said, "This is the birthday of an elder who's been very kind to me. I have to go back. I only see him a few times a year, and he's getting old. I don't know how much longer I can see him."
Yun Sui nodded. Her grandmother was very kind to her. It was a pity that she didn’t like going to her grandmother’s house when she was young. After she grew up, she didn’t have the chance to go to her grandmother’s house, and the times they met became less and less.
Yun Sui comforted him, "Go and meet them. You're not going back to meet your father's new family. Relax. Your home is here."
Hearing this, Lin Chi'an couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth slightly, and responded with joy: "Yes."
On the day Lin Chi'an went to the upper city, Yun Sui bought flowers after get off work and went to Shi Yue's house.
She wanted to know more about Lin Chi'an. She had often avoided him in the past and didn't dare to get too close, but this time she wanted to take the initiative.
Shi Yue entertained her warmly and the two had dinner together.
Yun Sui asked her, did Lin Chi'an grow up here when he was a child?
Shi Yue shook his head.
"This is my parents' house. We weren't here before. After divorcing his father, I went to Star City. It wasn't until Lin Chi'an's grandmother fell ill that I returned to North City and moved here."
Shi Yue looked at everything around him.
Her life had been smooth sailing until she discovered Lin Yan's infidelity. She had a math teacher at a prestigious university, a partner she'd been with since college and later married, a family she had, and a lovely child, Lin Chi'an. Everything was going according to plan, but her world came crashing down when she saw two naked bodies entangled together.
Shi Yue knew that she shouldn't be so harsh on Lin Chi'an, but seeing Lin Chi'an's face at that time reminded her of Lin Yan and those disgusting moments, so she chose to escape and leave that place.
But I didn’t expect Lin Chi’an to come looking for me later.
Yun Sui sat aside and listened quietly to Shi Yue's story.
Feeling a little uncomfortable.
Teacher Shi’s life shouldn’t be like this.
She reached out and held Teacher Shi's hand. Shi Yue gently patted the back of her hand, smiled and said it was all over.
"So I'm very grateful to your mother. She taught me many simple truths, but I was the one who kept getting stuck in a rut."
Yunsui smiled.
She also understood why the two became good friends later, and every time she asked Ms. Luo Yun, she always said that it was a secret between her and her teacher.
Yun Sui finally understood that when she first met Lin Chi'an, the man seemed particularly pitiful.

Yun Sui could never forget that night when Lin Chi'an was lying beside her, looking up at the ceiling.

She didn't know what kind of mentality the boy had in mind when he ran to Star City alone, and how he would face his father who raised him after knowing this.
But unexpectedly, after saying this, Shi Yue felt even more uncomfortable.
Yun Sui handed her a tissue and began to change the subject. She said, "To be honest, seeing you two getting along now, I can't imagine that these things happened."
Shi Yue smiled gently, "Chi An is a very shallow child. He has a very clear balance in his heart. He will lean towards anyone who treats him well or who he likes without reservation. So even though he doesn't like the people in Shangcheng, he still went there for the sake of his uncle who doted on him."
"He treats you the same way. I can see that he likes you very much."
He likes you very much. When these words came out, Yun Sui felt his heart tremble.
"Teacher, I like him too."
I've loved it since high school until now.
She couldn't describe the exact feeling of love, but she knew that the joy and happiness in her heart when she saw Lin Chi'an were unprecedented.
Shi Yue was very happy to hear this.

Yun Sui shook his head.

"But it's good for you to be together now. When Chi An comes back from Shangcheng, I'll feel at ease knowing you're with me."

Shi Yue: "It's better now. When I first started my business a few years ago, my relatives would always look at me coldly when I went home. They would also talk about his college days. What's more, his father has a new family, so not many people there really hope for his well-being."
"Without him, after the old man passes away, more will be given to others."
"So, wait for him to come back and spend some time with him."
Lin Chi'an never told Yun Sui about these things.
Yun Sui took a deep breath and nodded in agreement.
Since they stayed up too late at night, Shi Yue was worried that Yun Sui would go back alone, so he let her stay at home.
After going to bed, Yun Sui made a video call to Lin Chi'an.
The call was answered quickly, and what came into view was Lin Chi'an's face with wet hair, which was quite shocking.
Yun Sui asked, "What are you doing?"
Lin Chi'an pointed to the wet ends of his hair and said, "I just washed my hair and am going to blow dry it."
He sat down on the sofa as he spoke, and Yun Sui saw the layout of the room in the video.
"You...are staying in a hotel?"
"Yeah." Lin Chi'an nodded. He walked to the side with his cell phone and picked up a towel to wipe his hair.
Yun Sui thought that his father didn’t even prepare a room for him.
"Don't think too much about it. I just think this five-star hotel here is nice, so I came to experience it."
The thoughts in Yun Sui's head were shattered. She had just felt quite sympathetic towards Lin Chi'an.
She: “Oh.”
Yun Sui leaned on the bed, and Lin Chi'an could see that Yun Sui was not at home.
"You're not at home?"
Yun Sui nodded: "Guess where I am?"
"Okay, Yun Suisui, you can live in someone else's house without telling me."
As soon as Yun Sui saw him like this, she knew that he was acting like a drama queen. "Yes, yes, Teacher Shi is my mother."
As soon as she said this, she heard Lin Chi'an's laughter coming from the opposite side.
"Yeah, it's your mother."
Yun Sui said nothing. She felt like she had fallen into a trap.
After laughing for a while, Lin Chi'an slowly stopped and said to her, "I have to stay here for a few more days. I have a meeting in Shangcheng later."
"Don't you hate it there?"
"I didn't see them again for the next few days. I was just working uptown."
Yun Sui thought about it and agreed.
"I told Zhao Lei to pick you up tomorrow."
Yun Sui was stunned, "Why?"
"It's too far. It's hard to get a taxi in the morning."
Yun Sui: "What's the price?"
"Let him eat at Ganhe for free for a month."
After hearing this, Yun Sui felt that he had lost out.
She could have bought a luxury car with that money.
When he saw Zhao Lei the next day, seeing that he still looked sleepy, Yun Sui began to worry about his driving skills.
Zhao Lei yawned, his eyes half-closed. “Chi An is so nice to you, and he even asked me to pick you up.”
Yun Sui smiled.
After getting in the car, she sat in the back seat.
Zhao Lei continued, "Do you know that Chi An is dating someone? If his girlfriend knew that you had already met Lin Chi An's parents and asked me to pick you up so early, she would definitely make a scene. That's why I chose to keep it a secret for you."
Yun Sui couldn't tell for a moment whether having a friend like Zhao Lei was good or bad.
As soon as Lin Chi'an landed in the city, his father took him over for dinner.
Although he was looked down upon when he didn't accomplish anything, Lin Chi'an mostly didn't care. He knew the nature of these people, so it was a good thing that no one paid attention to him.
But after doing a little, he was forced to engage in some flattery.
If he knew what Shi Yue and Yun Sui said, he would probably say that her mother used exaggeration.
He wasn't that pitiful, he was more annoyed.
He watched Lin Yan pull him to toast.
His thoughts drifted to when he had just graduated from college and had no money to start a business. In the end, it was his father who secretly gave him the first sum of money. He said it was just an investment, not a gift.
Lin Chi'an confiscated it, and even though the project failed in the end, he didn't regret it.
Later, when he opened a club, he knew that a large part of the initial customers came because of his father's reputation, or were introduced by his father. Whether he agreed or not, or admitted it or not, this was the fact.
Lin Chi'an supported the drunk Lin Yan, raised his glass, and drank a few sips for him.
After the dinner, Lin Chi'an handed Lin Yan to the woman next to him, nodded slightly, and left.
He booked a hotel not far away and stood alone in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the night view in front of him with mixed feelings.
It wasn't until the alcohol started to take effect and burned his stomach that he realized he had been so busy drinking that he hadn't eaten much.
Lin Chi ordered dinner and took a shower while waiting for it to be served.
Just as he was waiting for dinner bored and depressed, he received a call from Yun Sui.
He looked at her background and he knew it was his mother's house.
Looking at Yun Sui, who was smiling and joking with her under the light, Lin Chi'an felt that her heart, which had been blocked all night, was finally opened.
Filled with warmth under the orange light.
He teased her, his joking tone hiding his true thoughts, and was amused by her reaction.
Finally, the whole person came back to life and felt a little fresh.
He thought he could tell Yun Sui the questions he asked him.
Why did I always like to have her by my side during that chaotic period?
Because Yun Sui means peace of mind to him. As long as she is there, he can stay awake in the quagmire.
