Chapter 1: Horsley, Let's Get Divorced

Chapter 1: Horsley, Let's Get Divorced

"You're going out?"

Just as the cloud and rain had dissipated and Jiang Qin was struggling to move, she dimly saw Huo Sili quickly putting on his clothes.

She was a little surprised. Besides being Horsley's secret wife, she was also his secretary. She knew clearly that Horsley had finished his work for the day, and now it was already eleven o'clock in the evening.

Huo Sili buttoned up his shirt at the collar, hummed, and quickly glanced at Jiang Qin before looking away.

"Please clean it up yourself."

After saying that, he took his coat and walked out, bang, closing the door.

Jiang Qin stared at the closed door for a few seconds, then sat up from the bed with a wry smile on her lips.

This is probably what happens in marriages between people from different social classes. Once men have tasted the sweetness, they no longer cherish it.

However, looking at the easily visible marks in the mirror and her slightly swollen lips, Jiang Qin really didn't understand.

Since Horsley had changed his mind, why did he still kiss her like this, full of possessiveness?

It was already early morning when I tidied myself and my bed and lay down again.

It seemed that Huo Sili would not come back tonight. Jiang Qin had this thought when she lay down. But perhaps because this was the first time that Huo Sili did not go home overnight for reasons other than work, Jiang Qin still suffered from insomnia that night.

I don't know what time in the early morning I fell asleep.

Early the next morning, Jiang Qin was awakened by a hurried knock on the door. When she opened the door, she saw a strange face.

"Good morning, ma'am! I made some medicinal porridge for you! Come wash up and come down to eat!"

The woman standing at the door spoke in a sarcastic tone and her eyes were clearly unfriendly.

Jiang Qin reacted for a moment before she remembered that this person was probably the live-in auntie Liu, whom her mother-in-law Yuan Lianqing had mentioned on the phone yesterday that she would come to help her.

Her mother-in-law didn't like her and would come to find fault with her several times a month. Yunhai Huafu originally had a live-in aunt, Aunt Wang, but she was scolded by Huo Sili when her mother-in-law came last time. This time, probably because she didn't want to come in person, she sent someone, saying that she was concerned about their health.

But there was no doubt that the person came with bad intentions, but because of his status as an elder and his reasonable reasons, Jiang Qin could only comply on the surface.

Jiang Qin looked at the other person calmly, said ok, and went into the house to wash up.

As expected, when she came down, there was a bowl of black medicinal porridge placed in front of her seat. Before she got close, the complex bitter and smelly smell hit her nose.

Jiang Qin subconsciously covered her nose, but it was too late, and an extremely nauseous feeling came over her.

Aunt Liu was still yelling, "Madam, I got up early and cooked for two hours! Come and eat it! It's good for your health!"

Jiang Qin frowned, covered her nose with more force, and patted her chest with one hand. She felt better and was about to say something when the nausea rose up her throat again, and she hurried to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, Jiang Qin leaned on the washstand with her hands, unable to vomit. Perhaps due to insomnia, she felt a little dizzy for a moment and felt extremely uncomfortable.

"Madam, are you pregnant?" Aunt Liu, who had followed by the door, spoke in a low voice with a look of guilt and fear on her face.

Jiang Qin paused, looked at Liu Ma through the mirror, took a deep breath, stood up straight, did not answer, washed her hands and left.

When they went outside, the driver, Uncle Yang, was already waiting. Jiang Qin opened the door and got in.

Uncle Yang handed over a bag of things, "Madam, this is the breakfast that Sister Wang bought for you. She said that the new Aunt Liu has taken up all the space in the kitchen, and she can't cook, so she went to buy some for you."

Jiang Qin thanked them out of habit, took the bag and looked at it. They were all her favorite foods, but after the smell stimulation just now, she really had no appetite now. And after what Liu Ma said just now, she suddenly thought of something -

Her period hasn't come this month, and it's been delayed for a week.

In previous months, even if she postponed it, it would only be one or two days at most, which was a little abnormal.

But pregnancy should be impossible. Horsley always takes safety measures, and...

Jiang Qin lowered her eyelashes. Huo Sili said that they would not have children.

There are several large hospitals near the Huo headquarters. Putting aside all thoughts, Jiang Qin carefully selected one and planned to see a doctor after get off work.

The car drove to the side door of Huo's and stopped as usual. Jiang Qin got her things and got out of the car. When she arrived at the office area, several employees were gossiping.

When they saw her, everyone greeted her, "Good morning, Secretary Jiang!"

"Well, good morning." Jiang Qin smiled.

The few of them continued chatting. Jiang Qin had no interest in the gossip and was about to go into the president's office. However, when she heard something, she stopped in her tracks.

"It's been six years, and when Xuexue came back, President Huo went to pick her up at the airport in the middle of the night. If this isn't true love, then what is this?"

"Yeah, yeah, they're really a perfect match! One is the prince of the Beijing circle, and the other is a popular young actress. A domineering boss and a sweet girl, oh my god, it's my blessing to have them!"

"Shh, keep your voice down, Mr. Huo should be here soon."

Jiang Qin tightened her grip on the breakfast bag, pushed the door open, sat down on the office chair, hesitated for a moment, and then turned on her cell phone.

Just as I was about to check, my best friend Su Lejia sent me the information she wanted.

There were several voice messages, links, screenshots, and photos, and Su Lejia's voice in the voice messages was filled with anger and heartache.

"Qinqin, that Huo guy is a bastard! He actually treated you as..."

When what? Jiang Qin's heart began beating like a drum for no reason and she clicked on one of the photos.

Late last night, at the airport exit, Horsley helped a woman get into a car, and their gestures were visibly intimate.

When Jiang Qin saw the woman's face, he understood what Su Lejia wanted to say, and at the same time his mind went blank.

The woman looked 70% similar to her.

It's just that the woman's makeup and clothes are sweet, so at first glance she seems very different from her, but people who are familiar with her can easily recognize that she and the other person are indeed very similar.

In the fourth year of her secret marriage with Huo Sili, Jiang Qin finally found out that Huo Sili had always had a beautiful girlfriend in his heart, and she had always been treated as a substitute by him.

Click.

Tears dripped onto the breakfast bag and there was a knock on the door.

Jiang Qin quickly wiped away her tears and turned off her phone, "Come in."

The clerk who came in put down a stack of documents and said, "Secretary Jiang, these are the documents that need to be signed by President Huo."

"Okay, leave it there. I'll talk to Mr. Huo when he comes." Jiang Qin said.

The staff left quickly, but twenty minutes after the working hours, Horsley still hadn't arrived.

Jiang Qin adjusted her mood and called Huo Sili, but no one answered the call after two calls.

Jiang Qin suddenly felt very tired. Her marriage was tiring, her work was tiring, and her mind and body were very tired.

Having a husband like this is the most tiring thing.

Jiang Qin called for the third time. The phone was still ringing when suddenly the door opened.

A familiar figure appeared at the door. He was tall and had long legs, broad shoulders and a narrow waist. He had a cold white complexion, long and deep eyes, thin lips and a straight nose. He was extremely handsome.

Jiang Qin took down the phone and hung up, then stood up somehow.

She glanced at the stack of documents and looked at Huo Sili, wanting to say: Mr. Huo, these need your signature.

However, when he spoke, he managed to remain calm, "Horsley, let's...get a divorce."

The moment he finished speaking, Jiang Qin didn't know if it was an illusion, but Huo Sili's whole body seemed to stiffen. However, it was probably an illusion, because she soon saw a smile on Huo Sili's lips.

"Jiang Qin, what did you say, divorce?"

The man strode towards her, leaned forward slightly, and placed his hands on the edge of her desk. His tall and strong body blocked the sunlight coming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Their eyes met, as if he wanted to see through her.

"Did I hear it wrong? Qinqin, how about you say it again?"
