Chapter 10 The Nausea Comes Unexpectedly
"You said that the intern that Secretary Jiang was teaching beat someone up?"
Huo Sili's eyes fell on Liu Wenli's face, and his tone was as calm as water when he spoke. However, this cold tone made Liu Wenli hear a strong sense of oppression.
In the president's office, Jiang Qin replied to the current email faster. Lin Xiaoyu behind her heard the faster keyboard sounds and also quickened the pace of organizing the documents.
Next to Huo Sili in the corridor outside, He Xu's mouth twitched. He glanced at Liu Wenli, then glanced at the employees who were eating melons in the office area across the hall.
The employees who wanted to continue watching the show suddenly stopped and focused on the computer screens.
In a flash, Liu Wenli, who was facing the oppressive feeling, looked back at the office area. Several people from the department who had agreed to step forward together were all lowering their heads.
She suppressed her anger and said, "Yes! President Huo! We all saw it! Please stand up for Xiao Li from our department! Secretary Jiang's intern is too bullying!"
Huo Sili still looked into the distance calmly, sweeping across the office area of Liu Wenli's department.
It fell back on Liu Wenli's face, "Okay, then call the witness and talk in the conference room over there."
After that, he glanced at He Xu and said, "Call Secretary Jiang and her intern."
After saying this, he took a step forward and walked straight towards the meeting room.
When Liu Wenli reacted and responded happily, Huo Sili had already walked past the president's office.
He Xu was about to knock on the door and ask Jiang Qin and Lin Xiaoyu to go to the meeting room together when the door opened.
In front, Horsley paused for a moment, then continued to move forward.
In the president's office, Jiang Qin brought Lin Xiaoyu out, holding a clean A4 paper in her jade-like hands.
"Secretary Jiang." He Xu stepped back to make way at the door and smiled politely, "Boss Huo asked you to go to the meeting room with Secretary Lin."
"Okay." Jiang Qin responded to He Xu and took Lin Xiaoyu to the meeting room.
A moment later, in the conference room, Liu Wenli finished her speech and looked at Huo Sili and concluded, "Boss Huo, this is it! We all saw that it was Lin Xiaoyu who pushed Nana, causing her nose to bleed and her shoulder to be bruised!"
Then he unfolded a folded diagnosis sheet and said, "This is the report form from the hospital. Mr. Huo, please take a look!"
Huo Sili tapped the table with his index finger, took it and glanced at Lin Xiaoyu who was standing next to Jiang Qin.
"Lin Xiaoyu, do you have anything to say?"
As soon as these words came out, several secretaries from the Food Department all looked at Lin Xiaoyu.
Perhaps he thought this would put pressure on Lin Xiaoyu, but unexpectedly, Lin Xiaoyu said it neither humbly nor arrogantly.
"Whoever makes the claim must provide evidence. Mr. Huo, since they said they saw me push Li Nana, then there must be my fingerprints on Li Nana's clothes. I want to call the police."
As soon as the words came out, Liu Wenli's face changed slightly, but she said in an instant, "Fingerprints? Fingerprints may not be stained."
Jiang Qin, who hadn't spoken yet, smiled and said, "Of course, Secretary Liu."
Liu Wenli's eyelids jumped. "How could that be possible? Maybe she just washed her hands clean?"
Jiang Qin spoke in a calm tone, still with a friendly smile on her face.
"Because I have arranged for Xiao Lin to sort out the documents in the bookcase since this morning. President Huo can testify to this. She is not lazy. Her fingertips were already stained black in the morning."
"We are all secretaries, and we all know that ink is not easy to wash out. It needs to be washed thoroughly with detergent."
Liu Wenli and several female secretaries around her changed their expressions slightly. Jiang Qin smiled at them and continued.
"The hand sanitizer in the women's restroom on our floor ran out yesterday. After the incident, I went to the restroom and found Xiaolin. I passed by and saw that the aunt hadn't refilled it yet. And just now Nana said that Xiaolin pushed her as soon as she entered the restroom."
"Then I infer that Xiaolin hadn't washed his hands at that time, so his hands must be black."
After Jiang Qin finished speaking, her eyes fell on Li Nana's white women's shirt and she looked at Li Nana.
"Nana, did you change that shirt because it was stained with nosebleed?"
The gazes of several people from the food department present were a little hesitant. Logically, they would all look at Li Nana's shirt at this time.
But many of the people who came glanced at Liu Wenli.
Huo Sili sneered, "You treat the company as a palace? Li Nana, tell me, what's going on?"
Li Nana's face turned pale and she looked at Liu Wenli reflexively, "Sister Liu..."
Liu Wenli's eyelids jumped, and she glanced at Jiang Qin, who still had a gentle and decent smile on her face, "Secretary Liu, look at me, do you have anything to say to me?"
"If not." Jiang Qin looked at Lin Xiaoyu and handed the pure white A4 paper in her hand to Lin Xiaoyu.
"Press it gently with your hand to see if there is any mark."
The dirty black marks were clearly visible on the white paper, and the people opposite were speechless.
Huo Sili stood up, his tall figure cast a chilling shadow, and the man glanced coldly at Liu Wenli and her group.
"Now, all of you, go out to the hall and apologize to your colleagues in front of everyone!"
"I..." Liu Wenli never expected the situation to turn out like this.
She racked her brains to make amends, but Horsley obviously had no intention of continuing to listen to her nonsense.
Glancing at He Xu, the man strode away.
The storm stopped temporarily and Lin Xiaoyu returned to the president's office. She thanked Jiang Qin repeatedly. The problem was solved and Jiang Qin continued to work, which lasted until six o'clock.
The alarm clock rang and she packed up to go out. Suddenly she remembered that she had not asked Huo Sili for the gift Xie Youan had given her.
After looking behind me, Lin Xiaoyu happened to come over and said, "Sister Qin, I'm leaving now. Bye."
"Okay, bye." Jiang Qin smiled.
After Lin Xiaoyu left, Jiang Qin put away her smile and walked into the inner room with her bag.
When I got to the door, I heard the clacking sound of a keyboard. I looked over and saw that Horsley looked different than usual.
The man wore a pair of light gold metal square-framed glasses on his tall nose. The light gold frames complemented his fair skin, adding a touch of bookishness to his already superior appearance.
Aloof and noble, gentle and abstinent.
Unfortunately, she now knows very well that these are all illusions.
This person is actually no different from some men, fickle, promiscuous, and unfaithful in marriage.
However, Jiang Qin paused before she could move forward. The glasses were the ones she helped him pick out a year ago when they were getting along sweetly. They were also one of the gifts she gave him. They were a pair of blue light blocking plain glasses without prescription.
But in this year, the relationship between them should not have made him still use the things she gave him, come to think of it, there was also that tie...
Realizing that his thoughts were wandering, Jiang Qin frowned and pulled himself back to reality.
After looking at the man in front of her and thinking for a while, Jiang Qin raised her hand and knocked on the door, "Mr. Huo."
However, Horsley acted as if he didn't hear anything and continued typing.
It wasn't until a long time later that he stopped, but he still didn't look over immediately. Instead, he glanced at the lower right corner of the screen first, and then gave me a cold look as if to give alms.
"What's up?"
Jiang Qin tightened her grip on the strap of her bag. Perhaps she hadn't completely come out of it yet. Huo Sili's cold eyes still seemed like a knife stabbing her heart.
But soon, Jiang Qin regained her senses, walked in, looked around quickly, didn't see any trace of the gift box, and asked directly.
"Where did you put the gift Xie Youan gave me? Give it to me. I want to go back."
"Throw it away." However, as soon as the words came out of his mouth, Huo Sili's expression suddenly turned cold and he blurted out these two words.
Throw it away? Jiang Qin tightened her grip on the bag strap again, and her eyes turned cold as she looked at Huo Sili, "That is..."
That was a gift given to her by someone else. Why should he dispose of it?
She opened her mouth to argue with Horsley, but suddenly, a gust of wind blew in from the window.
It's time for dinner now. The employee benefits at Huo's headquarters are very good. The restaurant provides free breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the dishes are rich.
The wind was mixed with a strong smell of grease and meat.
The feeling of nausea came unexpectedly. Jiang Qin slightly arched her body and subconsciously covered her mouth and nose.
