Chapter 100 Madness and Chaos

Chapter 100 Madness and Chaos

Rong Yi had no idea whether the people here would suddenly attack a stranger passing by.

Given the situation, Rong Yi gave up on the idea of taking a taxi. She wasn't afraid of being taken to the middle of nowhere by a madman, but dealing with it would be a waste of time.

I took out my phone to check the subway app and found that the last station of Line 3 is South Railway Station. The chances of taking public transportation and changing routes are much smaller than taking a taxi.

The subway station is quite close to the residential area, only about 200 meters away.

Upon entering the subway station, Rong Yi was prepared to witness a bloody scene, but the place was clean and bright, with many people carrying backpacks and briefcases, appearing to be students and office workers.

Everything seemed normal. Groups of students huddled together, whispering and laughing as they discussed something, while office workers stared at their phones, scrolling through their screens.

The smooth ground reflects the images of every person and every object.

There were many billboards in the subway. Rong Yi glanced at them and saw that they were all good-looking male and female celebrities, and the products were normal cosmetics and daily necessities.

The subway soon arrived at the station, and Rong Yi entered the carriage at the sound of an announcement.

There weren't many people in the carriage, and many didn't take up seats. Rong Yi didn't stand on ceremony and chose to sit on one side, glancing around at the people every now and then to see if anyone would suddenly start some kind of sacrifice.

The people in the carriage didn't even glance at Rong Yi's slightly strange attire, as if it were commonplace.

The subway arrived at the next station and slowly came to a stop.

The subway has windows that allow you to see outside. She happened to see a large billboard across the street with a beautiful woman's face turned to the side, her pretty eyes staring at several handsome male models behind her.

It wasn't unusual at first; these kinds of billboards are everywhere. But the more Rong Yi looked at them, the more something seemed off.

The woman in the advertisement was still smiling, but her pupils trembled slightly. After a few seconds of trembling, she slowly moved her gaze and met Rong Yi's.

The curve of his mouth widened until it reached his ears, his beautiful face contorted, and the lights inside the billboard dimmed, making it appear even more sinister and terrifying.

Rong Yi: "..." It's broad daylight, and no one around us seems to have noticed this situation.

Perhaps it's not strange that people care so much.

With his gaze fixed on her, Rong Yi frowned and looked around. He noticed that others had already noticed the strange thing about the billboard, but they all quickly looked away after seeing it.

The gaze, so intense it seemed to be laced with malice and greed, almost pinned her to her seat.

As the beeping sounded, the car door was about to close.

Rong Yi's expressionless face suddenly broke into a smile, and he raised his arms to his sides, pointing his middle fingers at both hands.

The female ghost's smiling face froze, followed by a surge of anger that caused her grin to turn downwards.

The doors closed completely, the subway started moving, and the billboards quickly disappeared from sight.

Rong Yi certainly didn't think that thing would let her go. She glanced around and found that everyone was staring at her with fear on their faces. When they saw her looking over, they scrambled into another carriage.

Rong Yi remained seated in the same spot, when suddenly the surroundings became cold and quiet, and the car windows were covered with frost.

Sizzle——

A small television is mounted on the ceiling in the middle of the carriage. It was originally off, but now it makes a buzzing sound and automatically displays a picture.

Those were cold, terrifying eyes that scanned the carriage from left to right before finally settling on Rong Yi.

The camera pulls back to reveal the owner of the eyes, her beautiful face bearing a twisted smile that stretches to the corners of her mouth.

Rong Yi sighed inwardly; a fight was inevitable.

The subway TVs were so small that they distorted the ghostly faces that seemed to be trying to crawl out.

Rong Yi's expression was indescribable, and he silently complained in his heart: Is this really how it has to be done? It's so incredibly low-class.

Under her indescribable look of disgust, the beautiful female ghost seemed to be provoked. Finally, she stopped being slow and let out a faint growl. Her long black hair fell off the screen, then her face, and then her body.

After sliding off the screen upside down, the lights in the carriage flickered on and off, creating a truly immersive horror movie experience.

Rong Yi stood up, showing no fear whatsoever.

The people who escaped to another carriage closed the door and watched from behind the transparent door how Rong Yi would die.

The beautiful female ghost floated up until she reached the roof of the car. Like a hanged ghost, her eyes were almost bursting out of their sockets as she stared at Rong Yi.

“Hehehe…”

An ethereal and eerie laugh echoed throughout the carriage, seemingly coming from all directions.

Despite the constant subtle movements, Rong Yi remained dignified and unmoved, his expression unchanged throughout, though his disdainful gaze was gradually replaced by murderous intent.

The beautiful female ghost roared and lunged at Rong Yi with her large face.

But in a second...

The people in the other carriage were stunned. The female ghost remained in her lunging motion, but Rong Yi was still standing there unharmed. The scene of blood and flesh flying everywhere that they had imagined did not appear.

The slender fingers firmly pinched the female ghost's face, and the ghost's eyes, peering through the gaps in her fingers, revealed her astonishment.

"If you're going to fight, then fight. Stop with all this trashy tricks. You think you can scare me with something like this?"

After she finished speaking, she tightened her grip. The female ghost cried out in pain and tried to break free in shock, but she was like an object in Rong Yi's palm, and her efforts were in vain.

Rong Yi grabbed the female ghost's face and lifted it high, then used his waist and legs to slam it onto the carriage floor.

Bang—

At this moment, the female ghost was no longer an invisible object in her hands; the blow caused the back of the female ghost's head to dent slightly.

Rong Yi switched to his left hand and grabbed the female ghost by the neck, his eyes icy cold. "I'm really curious about what happens to ghosts after they die."

The female ghost never imagined that after being a ghost for so long, she would be afraid of the living. In fear, she opened her mouth and let out a shriek. The small television started moving again, and seven or eight ghost faces rushed to crawl out of the screen.

The people in the next carriage kept backing away.

Rong Yi clenched his right fist and smashed it hard against the female ghost's face.

First came a soft, resilient touch, but under her fist, the softness broke, and her fist slammed into the floor of the carriage and stopped.

His left hand grasped at empty air, and the female ghost exploded like smoke.

The little devils that had just climbed out of the screen seemed to be frightened and scrambled back into the TV, moving much faster than when they came.

As the smoke dissipated, a flat, oval-shaped, milky-white crystal was revealed on the ground, now emitting a faint white light.

Rong Yi picked it up out of curiosity, and a gray message appeared: [Tier 1 Ghost Crystal, can I have it?]

It was quite polite, but in my mind it replied, "No."

So that's what they call Ghost Crystal. It seems there's still a way to make money in this world. Rong Yi's eyes shone brightly.

Unfortunately, those little devils got away.

After curiously examining the ghost crystal a few times, she tucked it into her storage compartment. When she looked up again, she noticed that the person in the next carriage was looking at her with fear.

It has to be said that this ghost-slaying operation shocked the indigenous people's worldview.

In their understanding, demons are immortal and indestructible, and no human means can affect them; the only thing they can do is to make devout offerings.

Seeing Rong Yi's gaze fall on them, these people rushed to the more distant carriages.

Since the natives were so uncooperative, Rong Yi was too lazy to ask anyone about the situation in this world. He figured he might as well find teammates sooner rather than later.

Perhaps it was because the little devils who escaped spread Rong Yi's deeds, because she never saw any of the billboard figures with twitching eyes again at the subsequent train station.

Strangely, when other people boarded the train, none of them came from her carriage.

One hundred chapters! Give yourself a round of applause!

It's been a long time since I wrote about horror, like in that horror novel I dreamt about, haha.
