Chapter 51 The War God Prince and the Charming and Stunning Courtesan 23

In order to return to the capital quickly and safely, Long Jingyan has raised the banner of King of Jin and ordered the provincial government to send people to escort them back to the capital and help them deal with the assassinations they encountered on the way. Finally, Long Jingyan and his party arrived in the capital safely.

The carriage stopped at the gate of Prince Jin's Mansion. Uncle Fu, the steward of Prince Jin's Mansion, had already received the news that Long Jingyan had returned to Beijing, and he and everyone in the Prince Jin's Mansion were waiting at the gate early.

When the carriage stopped, Long Jingyan got off first, and then helped Jiang Taohua get off.

Uncle Fu and the others who were waiting at the gate of Prince Jin's Mansion were all shocked when they saw their prince helping a beautiful woman get off the carriage. They all thought in their hearts, has their prince, who is not interested in women, finally come to his senses?

Uncle Fu was the first to come to his senses and led everyone forward to salute Long Jingyan.

Long Jingyan said "hmm" and took Jiang Taohua into the Prince Jin's Mansion.

Uncle Fu led the servants of Prince Jin's Mansion and followed them into Prince Jin's Mansion.

Long Jingyan took Jiang Taohua to Yunshuiyuan where he lived to rest, and then immediately went to the palace.

When Emperor Mingqing heard that his most beloved son wanted to see him, he no longer wanted to approve the memorial. His originally serious face suddenly became bright and he immediately asked someone to welcome Long Jingyan in.

Long Jingyan was welcomed into the imperial study. As soon as he entered, his father came up to him and gave him a big hug. "Smelly boy, you are finally back."

Long Jingyan: "...Father, I am not a child anymore. Could you please stop touching me?"

Emperor Mingqing let him go and scolded him, "You heartless brat, what's wrong with your father holding you? When you were little, you always pestered your father to hold you. How come you've grown up and despise your father? You can't stand your father holding you even once?

Although Emperor Mingqing's words were reproachful, his tone was full of affection.

Long Jingyan didn't respond. He believed that if he did, his father would pester him all day, saying that he had no conscience, how cute he was when he was a child, and how boring he was when he grew up.

Emperor Ming Qing looked at his beloved son and sighed in his heart. Mingming was a chatterbox when he was a child, and his little mouth kept chattering in front of him.

How come he became so taciturn and cold-tempered when he grew up? He is so old and still not married. It is really frustrating.

This son is his most beloved and the one he is most proud of, but his marriage is also what worries him the most.

Emperor Ming Qing got a headache when he thought about his marriage.

"You little bastard, you must marry me when you come back this time." He said angrily, "You are already so old, and you still haven't gotten married. Are you planning to live a lonely life?"

"Okay." Long Jingyan agreed readily. He would marry Jiang Taohua when he returned to Beijing this time.

Emperor Mingqing suspected he had misheard and asked again, "Stinky boy, do you agree to get married?"

Long Jingyan nodded.

Emperor Ming Qing was stunned and looked at him in disbelief.

In the past, getting this son married was harder than climbing to heaven.

No matter what you say, he just won't agree to get married.

I didn't expect that he agreed to get married as soon as I told him about it today. Is this the beginning of the end?

Emperor Mingqing opened his mouth and was about to ask if he was upset by something when he heard his son say, "Father, I have something important to report."

Upon hearing this, Emperor Mingqing looked at him lovingly and asked, "What's the important matter?"

Long Jingyan recounted what happened in Jiangzhou City and the many assassination attempts he encountered on his way back to Beijing.

The assassin was sent by Uncle Xie, who told Emperor Mingqing in detail and also gave him the account book of Wang Dafu's collusion with others.

Emperor Mingqing was very angry when he saw the account book. What made him most angry was that Uncle Xie dared to send someone to assassinate his most beloved son.

Emperor Ming Qing was furious when he thought about the many assassination attempts his beloved son had experienced along the way.

He immediately ordered the raid on Uncle Xie's residence, and had Uncle Xie and the others thrown into the Sky Prison, to be executed at noon the next day.

The evidence is irrefutable. No matter how Uncle Xie tries to argue, or how his sister, Concubine Xie, pleads for him, it is useless.

Emperor Ming Qing will show no mercy to those who want to kill Long Jingyan.

In the eyes of Emperor Mingqing, if Uncle Xie had not sent someone to kill his beloved son, he could spare his life, confiscate his property and exile him.

But Uncle Xie was so bold that he even sent someone to kill his own precious son, which he could not tolerate.

After dealing with Uncle Xie and the people on the list, Emperor Mingqing focused all his attention on Long Jingyan's marriage.

When Emperor Mingqing learned that Long Jingyan wanted to marry a prostitute, he was very opposed to it.

In his opinion, his son was so outstanding, and it would be too unfair for him to marry a prostitute.

He did not intend to let his son marry a prostitute, and planned to help his son find some ladies from prominent families to be the princess candidates during his birthday party.

However, he did not let his son know that he opposed his marriage to Jiang Taohua. Instead, he lied to him and said that he would help them get married after some time.

So Long Jingyan didn't know that his father opposed his marriage with Jiang Taohua. He was waiting in the mansion for his father to grant him and Jiang Taohua a marriage.
