Chapter 39 Kiln

Chapter 39 Kiln

Hearing her answer, Wen Ci's smile deepened, "You have a good opinion of Gu Huaichen."

Lin Youning didn't feel embarrassed and answered her bluntly, "If I had a bad impression of him, I would not choose to marry him."

Wen Ci thought about it and it seemed to be true.

She smiled with her lips bent, and said softly: "Anyway, don't wrong yourself."

Lin Youning was stunned, nodded and said, "No, you know me."

She is the last person to let herself be wronged.

After staying with Wen Ci for a while, Lin Youning suddenly had an idea, "Why don't we ask Zhenzhen, how about we have dinner together tonight?"

Wen Ci had no objection, "I'm fine with either. See if Zhen Zhen is free."

Lin Youning @Duan Yingzhen in the group and asked her if she was free in the evening to have dinner together.

Before Duan Yingzhen replied, another friend in the group, Ying Zhuxing, expressed his opinion first: [No, you guys had a dinner party when I wasn't in Jingbei, are you isolating me?]

Lin Youning: [Is this actress obsessed with acting? ]

Ying Zhuxing: […Don’t say that.]

Lin Youning: [When will you be back after finishing your work?]

Ying Zhuxing: [That may take some time. ]

Lin Youning: [Then I’ll wait for you to come back and we’ll get together again. ]

Ying Zhuxing was satisfied with Lin Youning's answer: "Okay, then what are you eating tonight? Remember to share with me."

Wen Ci: [No problem.]

Duan Yingzhen had just woken up and quickly replied to them in the group: [Are you free? What do you want to eat? ]

Lin Youning: [I can do either. It depends on you.]

Duan Yingzhen: [I kind of want to eat grilled fish, what do you think? ]

Wenci: [I can.]

Lin Youning: [There's nothing wrong with that. Which restaurant do you want to go to? I'll make the reservation.]

Duan Yingzhen: [You don’t need to order grilled fish. I know there is one that tastes great, but the environment is not so good.]

After meeting Duan Yingzhen, Lin Youning went to many restaurants with poor environments.

However, it was only after she went there that she realized that one should not underestimate those remote small shops with poor environments.

The saying that good wine finds its way into the deep alley still makes sense.

After making the appointment, Lin Youning was too lazy to go home.

She waited for Duan Yingzhen to come to the cheongsam studio, and then the three of them went to the grilled fish restaurant together.

More than half an hour later, Duan Yingzhen arrived.

Wen Ci hadn't finished her work yet, so the two of them went to the coffee shop to buy a few cups of coffee before returning to the studio.

The three of them were drinking coffee and chatting, when Lin Youning suddenly received a message from Zhao Tinglan, asking her how she was doing recently.

Lin Youning thought for a few seconds and called her.

"Hello, Ningning?"

Zhao Tinglan's familiar voice came from the other end of the phone, and Lin Youning answered, "Mom, what are you doing?"

Zhao Tinglan: "What can I do? I'm watering the flowers in the yard. What's wrong?"

"No." Lin Youning answered her, "I thought you wanted to tell me something."

Zhao Tinglan paused and said softly, "Nothing, Mom just wanted to ask you if you are doing well in the Gu family."

Lin Youning hummed, "I'm fine, how about you?"

"I'm fine too," Zhao Tinglan said. "Don't worry about me. Just live your life well."

Lin Youning frowned and agreed hesitantly.

The mother and daughter chatted for a few words and hung up the phone.

After hanging up, Lin Youning was still worried, so she sent a message to Aunt Hui, the maid of the Lin family who had taken care of her since she was a child: [Aunt Hui, how is my mother doing recently? She doesn't tell me the truth. If there is anything going on at home, can you please let me know? ]

The message was sent, but there was no immediate response from the other party.

Lin Youning was not in a hurry. Aunt Hui was unlikely to look at her phone, and this was probably the time for her to prepare dinner.

After sending the message and chatting with Duan Yingzhen and the others for a while, the three of them went out to the grilled fish restaurant.

Duan Yingzhen had been to the grilled fish restaurant before. It was located on a relatively crowded and remote street. There were towering trees around it. Duan Yingzhen told the two that many customers would dine directly under the trees.

There were indeed several tables in front of the grilled fish restaurant.

Lin Youning raised her eyebrows, "It looks good."

Duan Yingzhen chuckled: "You are not picky anymore."

"No." Lin Youning was still picky. She glanced at Duan Yingzhen and said, "It's just that compared to the barbecue you took us to last time, the decoration of this restaurant is okay."

Hearing this, Wen Ci laughed: "I also remember that time."

Duan Yingzhen: “…”

She was slightly embarrassed and touched her nose a little sheepishly, "Why are you two like this?"

The two looked at each other and smiled, "Let's go first."

It was indeed cooler outside. Lin Youning looked around and finally chose to sit outside to eat grilled fish.

The three of them sat down and Duan Yingzhen was in charge of ordering the food.

After she finished ordering, the two of them took a quick look at the food and basically didn't want to add anything.

"I'm a little thirsty." Lin Youning said.

Duan Yingzhen: "What would you like to drink?"

Wenci: "I feel like drinking some juice."

Lin Youning: “Me too.”

The three of them were too lazy to move, so they simply ordered some juice to be delivered.

After waiting for a while, the grilled fish and juice were served.

Just as Lin Youning was about to eat, her cell phone vibrated.

It was a reply from Aunt Hui: [Nothing, but your father...hasn't been home for a few days.]

Seeing this, Lin Youning was stunned for a few seconds, then replied with a frown: [Okay, as long as my mom is safe, thank you Aunt Hui.]

Aunt Hui: [Miss, you are welcome.]

After chatting with Aunt Hui for a while, Lin Youning continued to eat.

"Wait a minute, let me take a picture first." Duan Yingzhen shouted.

Lin Youning and Wen Ci couldn't do anything to her.

After Duan Yingzhen finished taking the photos, she first sent them to the group, showed them to Ying Zhuxing, and then to her parents.

"Did your parents ask you?" Lin Youning glanced and asked.

Duan Yingzhen nodded and said, "Ask me what I eat and who I'm with."

Speaking of this, Duan Yingzhen looked at the two of them and said, "They asked you to come to their house for dinner when you are free."

Wen Ci had never met Duan Yingzhen's parents, but Lin Youning had met them twice. But Wen Ci's parents also knew her name.

Hearing this, the two nodded and agreed: "Okay, let's go when we have time."

The three of them chatted and laughed while eating, and had endless topics to talk about.

After finishing their meal, Lin Youning paid the bill.

The three of them prepared to go for a walk nearby to digest their food.

The night market was not far away. Lin Youning had been there once before with Duan Yingzhen, so the sight of it this time no longer seemed novel or surprising to her.

As she was watching, the phone in her pocket vibrated. Su Ran sent her several messages, asking her what she was doing.

Lin Youning took a photo and sent it to her.

Su Ran: [What is this? ]

Lin Youning: [I don’t know, night market. ]

Su Ran: […You are still shopping at the night market. Do you know what your husband is shopping for? ]

Lin Youning paused for a moment, raised his eyebrows and asked: [Kiln? ]

Su Ran: [? ]
