Chapter 157 Can Serve as Memories for Two People

Many people came out for a walk at night, with teenagers strolling along the beach.

"Ah, even the wind tastes salty." Lu Chuqing sighed as she looked at the deep blue night sea. The waves splashed onto her sandal-clad feet, making them feel wet and cool.

Xi Qingxu watched her from a distance. The bright red halter top was tied into a bow behind her neck. The fabric wrapped around her upper body below her shoulder blades, and her shapely white legs were exposed under the shorts that hugged her thighs. She had the beginnings of sexiness in the future, and was full of youthful vitality at the moment.

He wasn't lying when he said he hadn't had any inappropriate thoughts about her, but there were some reasons for it.

First, he wasn't really sure if it was love; second, they were both too young, and that kind of thing wasn't something they could think about right now, and he hadn't paid attention to those things, so naturally no inappropriate thoughts would pop into his head; most importantly, just looking at her made the world peaceful and serene, making him forget everything else and only want to look at her.

Look at the way her mouth moves when she speaks, the curve of her lips opening and closing, and the pearly teeth that are slightly revealed.

Look at her deep brown eyes, the long, black eyelashes fluttering as she blinks, the way her brows relax when she smiles…

Now, seeing her stretching out her arms and body comfortably in the sea breeze, Xi Qingxu thought that her body was also extremely beautiful.

The sea breeze was heavy with moisture, and after a while, Lu Chuqing felt her face getting wet. When she turned her head, she met Xi Qingxu's gaze, who was looking at her from the side and behind.

"What are you staring at? You're out having fun and you're still so dazed."

Seeing her smoothing her wind-blown hair, Xi Qingxu said, "It's too windy here, do you want to go somewhere else?"

"Hmm, I'm a little hungry, I want to eat barbecue."

Lu Chuqing walked towards him, grabbed his forearm, and started looking for food.

She ate on the plane; she wasn't some princess or rich girl. As long as she could eat, she could fill her stomach.

So much time has passed, the food has long been digested, and after running around on the beach for so long, my stomach is starting to protest.

Xi Qingxu let her pull him along, and the two walked one after the other. Soon they came across a barbecue stall, selling fresh seafood that had just been caught from the sea.

The owner, a young white man, greeted Lu Chuqing with a big smile, warmly calling her "beautiful lady" in English, asking her what she wanted to order, and even proactively introducing how fresh his ingredients were, how good his cooking skills were, and how delicious his grilled seafood was.

The other person spoke fluent English, and their rapid-fire delivery left her no time to respond. She had no choice but to pull out the boy behind her and say, "You can take the order. He's too enthusiastic; I'm socially awkward."

Upon seeing Xi Qingxu, the white guy looked slightly disappointed and said in English that all the beautiful women were already taken, but then he started praising Xi Qingxu as a handsome and charming young man.

The boy showed no reaction to the compliments. With his expressionless face, he first thanked the white guy in English, and then started ordering.

Lu Chuqing couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle as she watched from the side. Xi Qingxu had probably never been praised so enthusiastically before.

There are several barbecue stalls here, and you can see the sea across the road.

After finding an empty spot to sit down, Xi Qingxu asked her, "Would you like something to drink? I'll go buy it."

"Hmm..." Upon hearing this, Lu Chuqing looked around and saw some coconuts being opened. She pointed over there and said, "Drink the juice from that freshly opened coconut."

Xi Qingxu followed her hand and nodded in agreement, "Okay, you sit here and don't move, I'll be back soon."

"Okay, I'll wait for you here."

The boy trotted over with his long legs, and Lu Chuqing only looked away when he saw the boy reach the stall.

Her phone vibrated in her handbag. She took it out and saw a message from Xi Jun saying that her mother was a little tired from playing and they had gone back to the hotel. She told them to be careful and go home early.

The girl typed a reply saying they were having barbecue and would go back after they finished eating.

After sending the message, there was no reply. Lu Chuqing didn't expect a reply either; it was a matter between adults, after all.

Xi Qingxu returned quickly, opened the lid of the coconut in the takeout bowl, tied a straw to it, and placed it in front of her. Then he tied a straw to the one he had bought for himself.

"Mom and the others went back to the hotel first. Let's go back after we finish eating," Lu Chuqing said to him, taking a sip of coconut juice.

"Okay, good." Xi Qingxu also took a sip of coconut juice. It was refreshing and sweet, and the taste was alright.

The white guy quickly brought over their barbecue, a fusion of Western and local flavors. Lu Chuqing was a little unaccustomed to the first bite.

But the seafood was so fresh that the grilled dishes looked great and were very appetizing. The more she ate, the more flavorful they became, and she quickly accepted the unfamiliar taste.

Xi Qingxu would watch what she ate and then eat the same thing. Whether it tasted good or not didn't matter; as long as it was edible and filled his stomach, he wasn't picky.

The coconut was peeled, and the whole flesh was filled with sweet coconut juice. Because of the hot weather, the owner also provided ice cubes, and the whole coconut flesh and coconut juice were chilled to a refreshing temperature by the ice cubes.

Enjoying barbecue with a sip of chilled coconut juice, feeling the sea breeze and gazing at the night sea – moments like these, shared with someone, are unforgettable memories.

Xi Qingxu thought that when he looked back on it later, there would be another thing between him and Lu Chuqing.

The next morning, Lu Chuqing was still half asleep when she was woken up by a phone call from her mother.

They were originally scheduled to visit another scenic island today, but she couldn't sleep after returning last night, so she drew several more drafts before finally getting sleepy.

She didn't know if it was because she ran around too much at the beach yesterday, and she didn't pay attention to massaging her legs when she got back. When she got up, she felt very tired, and her thighs and abdomen were a little sore.

Lu Chuqing assumed she was just tired, so she forced herself to wash up, changed her clothes, slung her small bag over her shoulder, and opened the door, almost bumping into Xi Qingxu who was waiting at the door.

"You startled me. You waited here without making a sound."

Xi Qingxu stepped back a little and explained, "I just arrived. My uncle and aunt are having breakfast. They were worried you wouldn't be able to find a seat."

The hotel has several restaurants, and it's really hard to find a seat without someone leading the way.

Lu Chuqing was still a little shaken. She closed the room door and put the room key into her bag. "You could have told me beforehand on your phone. I was really scared just now."

The boy noticed the weariness on her face and assumed she hadn't rested well, which might have affected her mood. He moved his lips and began to apologize, "I'm sorry."

A soft, apologetic voice came from behind her. Lu Chuqing turned around and saw Xi Qingxu looking at her with his dark eyes.

Perhaps because he had just woken up, his eyes looked moist, and coupled with his sincere apology, she wondered if she had spoken too harshly, which made the boy look a little aggrieved.

"Oh, it's okay. I just suddenly saw someone standing at the door and was startled."

As she spoke, Lu Chuqing turned to him and smiled, "But knowing that person is you, I'm not afraid anymore."
