Chapter 27 The Lu family came to say goodbye to Old Lady Liu.

Liu Fengming was the youngest in the Liu family. His older brothers got married and had children one after another. The family was already poor, and when it was his turn, they couldn't afford a single penny.

Liu Fengming wasn't the most promising, but he had the advantage of being born later. He had seen more of the world than his older brothers, and he was also shrewd and knew how to flatter.

So when he first entered society and the little money he earned wasn't enough to live on, he borrowed a lot of money from his brothers, and the total amount from all the families was tens of thousands of yuan.

When she learned that Lu Ying had an older brother who did business in the provincial capital, she became even more determined to win Lu Ying over.

So, shortly after the couple got married, several of his sisters-in-law asked him for money, and he tried every means to borrow money from Lu Ying's two older brothers to pay off their debts.

He borrowed it secretly behind Lu Ying's back, never expecting that Lu Ying knew everything!

Then he thought about it again and realized that it made sense; his whole family looked down on him and had been laughing at him behind his back for a long time!

Anyway, there's only Lu Ying and Lu Chengyang at his house now. If he calls out, his older brothers will come over to help.

This ungrateful woman needs to be taught a lesson.

The man's face had just hardened with ruthlessness, and before he could make a move, a large group of people suddenly came from the west side of the low wall. Confused, everyone looked towards the outside of the courtyard.

The first group consisted of several women, all dressed to varying degrees and all boasting large breasts and buttocks. Behind them followed several uniformed police officers.

Upon seeing those women, Liu Fengming's fierce face instantly turned completely pale.

The rest of the Liu family members were terrified when they saw the police behind them and rushed into the main room behind Old Man Liu.

When the three members of the Lu family saw Lu Yongkang, Lu Jun, and the others following behind them, joy instantly appeared on their faces.

Lu Chengyang excitedly ran towards his family, "Grandpa, Dad, what brings you here?"

Lu Ying also pulled Lu Chuqing over, "Dad, Big Brother, how did you get here?"

Lu Jun first patted his son on the shoulder, and seeing that none of the three were injured, a hint of approval flashed in his eyes.

Then he looked at Lu Ying and said, "It has nothing to do with us. My father and I came here to pick you up."

Then he looked at Lu Chuqing, who had already been picked up by Lu Yongkang, and stroked the little girl's head to comfort her, "Has Qingqing seen Grandma yet?"

Lu Chuqing nodded, "I saw them, but I didn't get a chance to say anything."

Over there, the woman in the lead saw Liu Fengming, went up to him, and slapped him across the face, yelling, "You scumbag, you filthy liar! You cheated me out of my money and tried to run away..."

Liu Fengming was already dumbfounded when he saw this, and he hadn't even reacted after being slapped hard.

Several other women rushed forward as well, and several police officers quickly stepped forward to stop and persuade them.

Old Liu, knowing nothing, rushed in to defend his son, but in reality, he was just being unreasonable.

The group instantly descended into chaos.

Grandma Liu has suffered from leg pain for many years, and this cold has probably affected her, making it so painful that she can barely stand.

There had been a commotion in the courtyard. The old woman sat to one side, trying to get up but unable to. She tried to persuade them, but to no avail. Her old and weak voice was muffled like a mosquito's buzz.

If she hadn't been protected at the very back, she wouldn't have been able to hear the old woman's voice at all.

However, the situation was dire at the time, and she was unable to comfort the old woman.

Seeing the police and those women surrounding Liu Fengming and Old Man Liu, Old Woman Liu couldn't sit still any longer and tried to get up and go over there.

Seeing this, Lu Ying quickly stepped forward to help her up, gently reminding her, "Auntie, be careful, let me help you."

When Old Lady Liu saw that it was Lu Ying, tears welled up in her old, cloudy eyes. She grasped the woman's hands, her voice choked with emotion, "Ying, our Liu family has wronged you..."

The woman smiled faintly, not returning the handshake with Old Lady Liu, and said only, "There's no such thing as 'to be fair' or 'to be unfair.' When the two of us were together, we were in love with each other. It's just that we're not compatible today, so we can't blame anyone else."

The old woman finally couldn't hold back her tears.

Over there, Liu Fengming and several women were arguing incessantly; anyone with eyes could see what was going on.

The women who had previously planned to embarrass Lu Ying and make a fool of herself are now hiding in the main room watching Liu Fengming make a fool of himself, their faces filled with the excitement of gossiping.

Grandma Liu lost interest in going over to check on the situation and instead held Lu Ying's hand, saying she was sorry to her.

Lu Yongkang came over carrying Lu Chuqing, put the little dumpling down, and gave the old woman a brief greeting.

Lu Chuqing stepped forward and tugged at Grandma Liu's clothes, then looked up at her with her little face and sincerely called out, "Grandma."

The old woman burst into tears and bent down to hug her, but her body was too stiff and aching to bend over.

Lu Ying and Lu Chengyang noticed something and quickly helped the old woman back to the stool she had been sitting on.

When Lu Chuqing arrived at Grandma Liu's side, she grasped her old and withered hand and said sincerely, "Grandma, my mother and father have separated, and I will live with my mother from now on. After seeing you today, I probably won't come again."

“You’re getting old and your legs aren’t very good, so Mom and I bought you a leg massager. From now on, you can have your aunties put it on your legs to massage them.”

"I also bought you some nutritional supplements. Don't be stingy with them and let your aunts take them all. You're so old, it's the younger generation who should be filial to you. Eat and drink as you please. The more you indulge them, the less they will appreciate your kindness."

"Take care of yourself and live to be ninety!"

The old woman, her hands trembling, held her little hand and choked back tears as she replied, "Okay, okay! Jingni'er is a good child. May she be happy and healthy!"
