Chapter 32 Getting a Haircut and Being Patted on the Head by My "Shamate" Brother

The following day was Sunday.

Lu Ying planned to take Lu Chuqing to get her bangs trimmed and also buy some hair clips and hair ties for little girls.

It was just a haircut, nothing else. Lu Ying and Lu Chuqing got off Lu Jun's electric scooter at the market at the entrance of the city.

They found a decent-looking hair salon and dragged Lu Chuqing inside.

There were several people in the shop, including two men getting haircuts, with one of their wives standing behind them watching.

The owner behind the counter was eating a steamed bun. Seeing another customer, he tried to speak clearly, "Do you want a haircut or a hair salon?"

As she asked the question, a young man with red hair came up and gestured for Lu Ying to sit on an empty chair.

The woman smiled and pulled Lu Chuqing in front of her, saying to the red-haired man, "I'm not doing it, I'm cutting my daughter's hair. Her bangs are a bit long, so I'm just getting them trimmed."

Red Hair looked down and his eyes lit up instantly. "The little girl is so cute!"

Lu Chuqing met his shining eyes, snuggled close to Lu Ying, and said in a soft voice, "Thank you, brother, your hairstyle is also very handsome!"

The little dumpling looked at the young man's frizzy red hair with side-swept bangs and said with an unreadable expression.

The young man smugly and narcissistically flicked his bangs.

Sitting down in front of the mirror, Red Hair put a barber's apron around her neck, stroked her smooth hair, and even looked somewhat kind!

"Don't be afraid, little sister, I'll be done cutting your hair soon!"

Lu Chuqing said, "I'm not afraid, brother. You can cut it without worry. Even if it doesn't look good, I won't cry."

The shop owner chuckled and said, "This little girl is quite interesting!"

Although Lu Ying was delighted by Lu Chuqing's intelligence and maturity, she was also a little embarrassed by being teased by so many people. She forced a smile and said perfunctorily, "This child has been like this since she was little."

Red Hair stood in front of Lu Chuqing with scissors in hand, spread his legs to lower his height, and bent over halfway, saying, "Brother is going to start cutting now, little sister, don't move around."

"Uh-huh."

The little dumpling responded, and the red-haired man held up the scissors and brought them close to the hair on her forehead.

By then, the two customers had finished getting their hair cut and left. Two other young men then came over.

One had blond hair, the other blue hair, and they all had the same hairstyle as the red-haired guy.

The two of them smiled and leaned closer to watch Red Hair cut Lu Chuqing's bangs.

Cutting bangs isn't difficult; Red Hair just snipped it off with two snips. After blow-drying the stray hairs off Little Dumpling's face, he combed through the hair to check for any uneven strands.

"Little sister, open your eyes and see if your brother is satisfied with the haircut?"

The blond guy also went over and patted the little girl's head. Then, his eyes lit up as he looked at the blue-haired guy and said, "Wow, her hair is so soft! It's fine, soft, and smooth."

Upon hearing this, the blue-haired guy also rubbed his head and whispered, "Seriously! And her face is so round! I really want to pinch it."

Red Hair shooed the two away and reminded them, "Can you two be a little more reserved? The little girl's mother is watching from behind!"

Three large hands were stroking her head, and Lu Chuqing felt like they were going to rub her hair all bald. She couldn't help but say, "Brothers, stop touching me! You'll rub all my hair out!"

The little dumpling's voice was neither too loud nor too soft, and the three young men smiled and reluctantly withdrew their hands.

After leaving the barbershop, Lu Ying took Xiao Tuanzi to a boutique. A wall near the door was covered with hair accessories, which could be seen even from outside the door.

There were many different kinds of hair accessories. When Lu Ying saw a cute little hair clip, she picked it up and held it up to Lu Chuqing's hair with a look of doting affection.

"My baby looks so good in this!"

Turning her head, she saw a small strawberry hair tie, picked it up and tied Lu Chuqing's hair into a topknot. After turning the red strawberry to the front and looking at it for a couple of times, she was very satisfied.

"She looks so cute with her hair in pigtails!"

As she spoke, the woman turned around and started picking out hair ties, then hair clips, and soon her little dumpling's head was covered with hair accessories.

The woman was so engrossed that Lu Chuqing finally couldn't help but tug at her clothes, "Mom, my hair isn't very long yet, you don't need to buy so many."

Upon hearing this, Lu Ying finally stopped, her face still full of excitement. "Then let's buy two fewer items today and change to new styles later."

As she spoke, she looked the little dumpling up and down, utterly delighted. "She's so adorable! How can my baby be so cute!"

Lu Chuqing couldn't stand the woman's constant praise, so she pulled her hand and walked towards the small counter by the door, saying, "Hurry up, Mom, I want to go back and watch a martial arts drama!"

"Alright, alright, let's go."

After buying the hair accessories, Lu Ying took Lu Chuqing to buy some food along the street. When they passed a deli, the aroma of spicy braised food immediately captivated the little dumpling.

"Mom." Lu Chuqing stopped in her tracks.

Lu Ying turned around in confusion, "What's wrong, baby?"

The little girl pointed to the delicatessen across the street and said in her soft, sweet voice, "Mommy, Qingqing wants to eat braised pork."

The woman looked in that direction and saw a sign on the shop that read "True Hunan Flavor".

Lu Ying then said to Lu Chuqing, "Sweetie, that one is spicy. You're too young to handle spicy food. Mom will take you to find a non-spicy one."

Lu Chuqing knew, of course, that this place was spicy; she could tell from the smell wafting out.

She's been reborn for almost two months now, and she's been eating nothing but candy and sweets. Because she's still young, we've deliberately avoided giving her any food with a stronger flavor.

A few nights ago, Lu Jun came back with duck necks and chicken feet. Lu Ying and Chai Shuhua ate them with great relish, and she was almost drooling with envy.

Having not had any spicy food for so many days, Lu Chuqing couldn't resist the urge to eat it today when she happened to pass by a spicy braised food shop.
