Chapter 41 Brothers

Lu Ying was worried that the spiciness would upset her, so when the dessert arrived, she used a clean spoon to scoop some out of the already small dessert bowl and put it in a small bowl in front of Xiao Tuanzi.

"This is sweet. Qingqing can eat a little if she doesn't like it spicy."

The little dumpling, its face smeared with oil, chewed on the meat in its mouth and nodded its little head.

Then she reached out to take the spoon from the small bowl, but suddenly a hand reached out from the side and took the bowl away.

"There are mangoes in here, you can't eat them."

Lu Linqi was also gnawing on a goose wing. The boy even carefully wrapped the goose wing in a tissue before eating it, unaware that his face was still covered in white sesame seeds.

At this moment, he was speaking to Lu Chuqing with a blank expression, his face covered in white sesame seeds and red oil residue at the corners of his mouth.

The little dumpling was stunned for a moment, then wanted to laugh, but forced herself to hold it in.

Then Lu Ying on the other side exclaimed in surprise, "There's mango in this dessert?"

"You wouldn't guess from the name that there's mango in it."

Upon hearing this, Lu Hang looked at the menu that the waiter had returned, and when he saw that the dessert was mango pomelo sago, a look of understanding appeared on his face.

Zhang Qiaoyu also noticed and remarked, "Oh dear, these restaurants all like to give themselves names that sound nice, but they don't really mean anything. Some of them have names that have absolutely nothing to do with the dishes they serve!"

Lu Hang also said, "A good name makes money, right? Qingqing can't eat mangoes, so let's choose another one."

As the man was about to order again, Lu Ying hurriedly interrupted, "If she can't finish it, she can't finish it. Second Brother, don't order anymore. She's small and has a small appetite. I think she's already eaten enough. Ordering more would just be spending more money."

Lu Chuqing really couldn't eat much. This goose wing was the second one she had eaten. She had already eaten quite a lot of other dishes, and she was already very full.

She then spoke up, "Second Uncle, Qingqing is already full and can't eat any more dessert. Please don't order any more."

The table was piled high with dishes, and there was still plenty left. When the little dumpling said she didn't want any more, the adults also tried to persuade each other that there was just too much food.

Seeing this, the man had no choice but to give up.

Seeing the elders pick up their chopsticks again, Lu Chuqing leaned closer to Lu Linqi, who had picked up a goose wing wrapped in a tissue and was gnawing on it.

"Thank you for earlier, second cousin."

The little dumpling lowered her voice, her soft, sweet voice reaching the boy's ears.

Lu Linqi paused in his act of gnawing on a goose wing, and his ears suddenly felt hot.

Turning around, he saw the little girl's face, which wasn't clean, and said with disdain, "Who helped you? I was just worried that something might happen to you, and then my parents would have to take responsibility for you."

As she spoke, she picked up a tissue from the side and clumsily and carelessly wiped the little dumpling's greasy face.

"It's filthy!" the boy said with no mercy.

Lu Chuqing didn't expose his arrogant face, but smiled at him with her eyes crinkling, "Thank you, Second Brother!"

Lu Chuqing addressed him politely as her second cousin, her second older brother, and the previously mentioned Linqi.

A certain arrogant little brat was completely won over by someone who kept calling him "brother".

Even when they were getting home after dinner, he was originally sitting in the passenger seat with Zhang Qiaoyu, but then he seriously said that it was too sunny in the front and insisted on sitting in the back.

Then, well, I sat down next to Lu Chuqing.

Seeing him sit down, the little dumpling smiled at him again, "Second brother~"

The arrogant brat, whose ears were already bright red but whose face remained impassive, said indifferently, "Hmm."

Lu Chuqing's face was practically contorted with rage.

Her second cousin is such an incredibly arrogant little devil, he's so adorable!

Sure enough, kids are the most fun.

While everyone else happily went home, Lu Chengyang, left behind at school, looked at his rice bowl and sighed repeatedly.

Boarding students bring their own bowls to eat, and for convenience, the ones sold at the school gate are large stainless steel mugs that can be carried around.

The school food is not as good as home-cooked meals. Looking at the dry, hard, clump-like rice in the bowl, and the potato and chicken pieces that are just like boiled potatoes in plain water, I sighed three times before I could even take a bite.

Someone sat down next to him, and when he looked over, he saw that it was his new classmate.

Boys play fast, and after only half a day together, Lu Chengyang's deskmate had already become very close and could talk about anything. At this moment, he nudged Lu Chengyang with his elbow.

The young boy looked at him expressionlessly and asked, "What?"

My deskmate chuckled and said, "I saw you at the gate today. Are those your relatives? Did they come to see you off?"

Lu Chengyang hummed in agreement and continued chewing his tasteless rice.

My deskmate then said, "Tsk tsk, you little rascal!"

Lu Chengyang couldn't understand what this person meant by his tone. He turned his head and looked at him suspiciously, his eyes revealing a hint of displeasure.

My deskmate, whether he noticed or not, still had a grin on his face and said, "I'm just saying you're lucky! Your whole family came to see you off when you go to school."

Lu Chengyang felt that this person was implying something about him, so he turned his head away and decided not to talk to him anymore.

Before I could even finish a couple of bites of rice, my tablemate said, "Is that little girl your sister?"

He ignored it and stuffed a tasteless potato into his mouth.

Then someone next to me said, "So cute! It's so small and fair-skinned!"

Hearing this, Lu Chengyang finally looked at him again and said, "Hmm, you have good taste."

Seeing that he was being acknowledged, his deskmate smiled even more and said with a grin, "I'm an only child, and I really envy people who have younger brothers and sisters. Why don't I come over to your house this Sunday? I wish I had a cute little sister too!"

One second he was starting to like this guy because he praised his sister as cute, but the next second, when he heard that this guy was going to his house to take his sister away, Lu Chengyang's face changed instantly.
