Chapter 80 I will move out then

During dinner, Xi Qingxu noticed that the man opposite him seemed to be possessed, occasionally lowering his head and laughing, which gave Xi Qingxu the creeps.

Unable to bear it any longer, she finally spoke up, "The dough has lumped together."

"Huh? Oh!" Xi Jun suddenly came to her senses and quickly slurped up two mouthfuls of the slightly clumped noodles.

Tonight we had mutton soup noodles.

The main reason is that cooking noodles is more convenient, so Xi Jun has been cooking different kinds of noodles every Sunday.

Xi Qingxu is not picky about food; she eats whatever is available, except for things she really can't eat or is allergic to.

After school in the afternoon, he went to a small bookstore near the school to help move things, which took a lot of energy, and he was quite hungry.

I didn't see Lu Chuqing buy any food after school today, so he didn't buy anything either and has been hungry ever since.

In the few moments the man was stunned, the boy's large bowl of noodles, soup and all, was empty.

Seeing this, Xi Jun hurriedly said, "There's still some left in the pot, go add some more."

Xi Qingxu hummed in agreement, took the bowl to the kitchen to get some noodles, and asked as she did so, "Do you want more?"

Xi Jun called out, "That's enough for me, you can take all the rest if you can finish it!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the boy came out carrying a bowl of noodles that was more than half full. "There's none left in the pot."

The man watched him sit down, pick up his chopsticks and start eating noodles. After a moment's hesitation, he spoke softly.

"Qingxu, there's something I'd like to tell you."

The boy paused with his chopsticks, bit off a piece of noodle, looked up at the man, and said, "You tell me."

Xi Jun carefully chose her words and said, "I met someone a while ago. She is very gentle and radiant, and also very nice. I like her very much."

"We had dinner together today, and she's willing to try dating me, so I might start dating soon."

As he spoke, the man couldn't help but laugh again, his face full of sweet happiness and anticipation for the romantic relationship that was about to begin.

Xi Qingxu was stunned for a moment, but quickly came to her senses. Looking at the man's persistent smile, she said without any emotion, "I can tell."

The thought of starting a relationship with Lu Ying filled Xi Jun with uncontrollable joy.

He said enthusiastically, "She's also a single mother with a child. Once our relationship is stable, if she has no objections, I'll take you to meet her..."

"I'll find a job to earn some money during the summer vacation. When junior high school starts, I'll apply to live on campus and move out of here."

Before Xi Jun could finish speaking, the silent boy opposite her suddenly spoke up.

He was stunned, and the smile on his face disappeared. "Qingxu, I'm not telling you this to ask you to move out. I just want you to know that I'm going to start dating."

"This is your home. Whether I'm in a relationship or not, there's always a place for you here. You don't need to move out..."

“This is your home, not mine,” Xi Qingxu suddenly said.

Xi Jun's Adam's apple bobbed, and he was speechless.

The boy looked at him, his eyes expressionless, his tone indifferent and devoid of emotion, "I can't rely on you to support me forever."

......

Lying in bed, Xi Qingxu recalled the sweet and hopeful smile on the man's face when he talked about that woman.

His mind went blank as he thought about how he was in a relationship and once again had nowhere to go.

The screen suddenly switched to Lu Chuqing's face, and Xi Qingxu's thoughts went blank for a moment.

She never seems to have to worry about where to go.

The boy couldn't help but think back to a long time ago.

It was summer, and it was a very, very hot day.

The old woman cooked cold noodles; I don't know if she did it on purpose, but he didn't get any lunch that day.

He squatted at the entrance of the alley, staring at the trash can at the entrance of the alley across the street, waiting for someone to pass by and throw away some leftovers so he could pick them up to fill his stomach.

He waited for a long time, until he was so hungry that his stomach was burning and his vision was blurry and dizzy, when a mother and daughter turned into the street.

The girl was very talkative, constantly asking the woman, "Mom, what will Dad do if we move? He won't be able to find us when he comes back."

"Dad will be so sad if he can't find us..."

The woman showed no impatience, but instead patiently responded to every word the girl said, "Dad is out earning money, and Mom will tell him our new home address, so he won't have trouble finding us."

He was so hungry he was drowsy, but the girl's incessant chatter woke him up.

Back then, he often went hungry, becoming thin and frail. He would squat in the shadows at the entrance of the alley, a tiny figure that no one noticed.

When the woman and the girl reached the alleyway across the street, the girl said to the woman, "Mom, we can't finish the pancakes."

The girl was holding a pie, which looked like it was filled with meat from a distance. She was holding it through a plastic bag and had only eaten a small portion of it.

The woman looked at the few remaining pancakes and said, "Let's throw them away since we can't finish them. Mom needs to talk to someone later and won't be able to eat."

"Okay." The girl obediently shook the plastic bag, shoved the remaining pancakes into the bottom of her pocket, and then threw it into the trash can.

Watching the mother and daughter turn into a house in the alley across the street, he quickly got up and ran to the trash can. He spotted the pancakes that had just been thrown in, grabbed the bag, scooped them up, and stood there, wolfing down the pancakes into his mouth.

There weren't many pancakes left, and he finished them in just two bites.

Not only did it not stop my hunger, but I felt even hungrier.

Just then, the girl came back out, holding a lollipop that she had just opened.

She probably went to play at the alley entrance because she was bored.

The girl was probably startled by him, staring at him blankly.

He was extremely hungry and stared intently at the lollipop in her hand.
