Chapter 91 Meeting Stepfather~

After finishing her digital painting class, Lu Chuqing walked towards the bus stop by the roadside.

Today was her second day of digital painting, and she had a good grasp of the area around here. She came downstairs and headed towards the bus stop.

The classroom is located on the fifth floor of a commercial building. This area was only developed a couple of years ago, so it's not very lively.

When she came back a few days ago, Lu Ying reminded her that she was going to see that uncle in the next couple of days, and it just so happened that today was the day.

There are two sessions a day for digital drawing, each lasting two and a half hours, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, for a total of five hours.

Lu Ying called her right on time; she had just arrived at the bus stop and took out her phone to answer.

"Qingqing, have you gotten on the bus yet?"

A bus was approaching. Lu Chuqing saw that it was the bus she needed to take and replied as she boarded, "Just got on the bus."

Lu Ying reminded her on the other end of the line, "Okay, then take it easy and be careful."

While the woman was speaking, Lu Chuqing overheard a man's soft voice, as if asking if she should take a taxi to pick her up. Lu Ying declined, explaining that her place wasn't far from the restaurant, only three stops away.

After saying that, Lu Ying repeated the stop where she got off the bus and the name of the restaurant to her, and also said the table number.

"I remember Mom, we'll be there soon."

Lu Chuqing found a seat at the back and sat down. As soon as the phone call ended, a boy sat down next to her.

She didn't pay much attention, but sat down with the person and glanced at them. They looked familiar, like they were from the digital painting class.

There were quite a few people in the class, more than thirty.

Lu Chuqing had learned a bit about digital drawing on her own in her previous life, so she understood all the basic content that the teacher had taught her these past two days.

In addition, she didn't really want to talk to others, so she found a seat at the back and sat there by herself. She listened attentively in class and focused on practicing, paying little attention to anything else.

Moreover, it was only the second day, and she didn't know many people well, and she hadn't spoken to anyone else at all.

But she remembered the boy sitting next to her now, mainly because he was good-looking and the kind of guy who would attract attention.

If she remembered correctly, the boys sat in the front, and there was only one door in the front of the classroom, so she had some recollection of each time she went in and out.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she turned around, the boy started talking to her.

"Hello, I don't know if you remember me, but I know you. We were in the same class learning digital drawing in that building."

Lu Chuqing turned to look at him. The boy's expression was natural, and he looked at her with a slight smile on his lips.

"Oh, I remember, you were sitting in the front, weren't you?" she said casually.

Seemingly surprised that she would remember him, the boy's eyes showed a hint of delight, and the corners of his mouth curved upwards, revealing his teeth slightly.

"My name is Nangong Yu. I'd like to know your name?"

Looking at the boy's outstretched hand and then at the natural, cheerful smile on his face, she could tell he was looking at her.

Lu Chuqing reached out and squeezed his hand. "Lu Chuqing."

Nangong Yu excitedly grasped her hand, "From now on, we're friends!"

"Hello friend!"

Lu Chuqing: "...Hello."

Then, as if a seal had been broken, Nangong Yu began to excitedly tell her all sorts of gossip about the class.

Lu Chuqing was shocked. In just two days! Where did this person get so much gossip?

Noticing that the other passengers on the bus were looking at them, she quickly interrupted, "Um, how old are you?"

Lu Chuqing asked the question rather bluntly, expecting Nangong Yu to be stunned and not answer. To her surprise, he replied with a particularly happy laugh, "My twelfth birthday has passed! I'll be starting junior high at No. 11 Middle School!"

Then, tugging at her sun-protective shirt sleeve, he asked, "What about you? What about you? I feel like we're pretty much on the same page! I just have a gut feeling!"

Lu Chuqing also wanted to say that she also had a kind of intuition.

She had a gut feeling that Nangong Yu was a fool.

Knowing that this person was also in the junior high school section of No. 11 Middle School, she blurted out, "Grade 11 when school starts, No. 11 Middle School."

"Wow! Senior!" Nangong Yu exclaimed in surprise, "I can't believe you're already a senior in high school, you're so short!"

Lu Chuqing: So small?!

"She definitely has the air of a top student! I knew I hadn't misjudged her!"

"..."

Why is this person looking at a talented senior with the eyes of someone looking at a promising junior?

Just as they arrived at their stop, Lu Chuqing ignored Nangong Yu's displeased glare, stood up, and said to him, "I've arrived at my stop, I'm getting off."

Nangong Yu stared blankly as she stood up, her gaze, which had been level with hers, suddenly rising high.

He stood up and went to the aisle, watching the girl get off the car decisively. It wasn't until the car had driven quite a distance that he seemed to come back to his senses.

"How did she manage to be so short when sitting and so tall when standing up..."

After getting off the bus, Lu Chuqing couldn't help but think, "That person is like an idiot."

The restaurant we chose tonight is a Chinese restaurant; it's not particularly famous, but it's still quite well-known.

Lu Chuqing hadn't walked far when she saw the magnificent hotel and its dazzling signboard.

On her phone, Lu Ying asked if she had arrived yet and if she needed to come out to meet her. Lu Chuqing replied, "No need."

After entering the restaurant using the table number the woman had previously sent her, a waiter immediately greeted her.

Lu Chuqing gave the floor number and room number, and the waiter led her upstairs.

This restaurant doesn't have private rooms. The so-called private rooms are just openwork screens that separate the spaces, and you can still see the people in the adjacent seats through the gaps, so you can't block out their voices.

The waiter quickly led her to her seat. Lu Chuqing had just thanked him when Lu Ying saw her and came out of the cubicle to greet her.
