Chapter 49 Academic Superstars and School Bullies

Dinner was dumplings again.

The Lu family ate dumplings all day today.

After dinner, Lu Chengyang took the two children out to play again.

When they came back in the afternoon, a group of friends made plans to set off firecrackers together that night. Because of Fu Qing, Song Tianyu didn't bother his brother, which was rare. Before going home, Lu Chengyang relayed a message to Song Tianhao, asking them to join in.

Just as they stepped out the door, Chai Shuhua shouted, "You older kids, keep your distance from Qingqing and Linqi when you set off firecrackers, don't let them get hit."

"Okay, Mom!"

When we got to the edge of the pit, a group of friends had already started playing.

Three girls came out as well, each holding a sparkler and grinning with their teeth showing.

Tiewa and Huzi cheered louder and louder, "Wow! Brother Fuqing! You're amazing! You shattered the bottle in one go!"

From a great distance, they heard a tremendous explosion, a sound completely different from the small firecrackers they had set off that afternoon.

Lu Chengyang ran over quickly to join the fun, only to see a green tea bottle smashed in half.

"What kind of firework was that? It was so powerful!"

Song Daqian came over and showed him the single cannon with a fuse in his hand, "Your brother Fuqing bought it at the west end of the village, it's called 'Little Steel Cannon'!"

The west end of the village is next to the highway leading to the city, and there are also firecrackers for sale at this time of year, with a wider variety than in the village's small shops.

Fu Qing casually picked up the bag next to her and handed it to Lu Chengyang, saying, "Take whatever you want to play with. If you don't have enough, we can buy more later."

Lu Chengyang took the bag and his eyes widened in surprise. "My God! Bro! You bought way too much!"

Fu Qing pretended not to hear his exaggerated tone and said to Song Tianhao, who was watching a group of children playing with firework jets, "You really don't want to play?"

Looking at the group of children playing noisily, Song Tianhao said, "No, you play, I'll stay and watch them!"

Lu Chuqing, watching from the side, also wanted to play, so she ran over with her short legs, but Song Tianhao grabbed her and carried her away.

"Little Qingqing, where are you going?"

Lu Chuqing looked a little aggrieved and glared at Song Tianhao, saying, "Brother Tianhao, I want to set off fireworks too."

The boy smiled and pinched her still chubby little face. "You're too young to play with fireworks, it's too dangerous."

Fu Qing, standing to the side, watched the boy's actions with little emotion on his face.

Lu Chuqing really wanted to have fun; there weren't many days when she could play with fireworks so carefree and without a care in the world.

Seeing the little girl looking at her friends with envy, Song Tianhao couldn't help but smile and patted her little head.

"If Qingqing really wants to play, brother will hold your hand and let you play."

"Okay! Good!"

Upon hearing that she could play with fireworks, Lu Chuqing didn't care whether she would be the one to play or not, and happily agreed.

Hearing the conversation, Fu Qing, who was standing nearby, reached out and grabbed a handful of fireworks.

Song Tianhao took one, let Lu Chuqing hold the thin stick, wrapped his big hand around her small hand, and then Fu Qing lit it with a lighter.

The moment sparks flew, Lu Chuqing couldn't help but cheer, "Wow! So beautiful!"

Following her force, Song Tianhao rotated his arm, sparks drawing circles in the air.

After one was finished, Fuqing immediately handed over another.

Lu Chuqing held the fireworks, and Song Tianhao held her small hand before helping her light them.

After playing with a few sticks, Fu Qing looked at the little girl in front of Song Tianhao, whose interest was growing.

He leaned closer to the boy's ear and said, "You're quite patient."

Song Tianhao turned his head to look at him. The distance wasn't too close, but he could clearly see the dark eyes of the person opposite him reflecting the dazzling fireworks.

He smiled gently and said, "She's just a child. Qingqing is very cute, a clever little devil."

Fu Qing looked at Lu Chuqing, who was wrapped up like a dumpling, and said in a low voice, "I don't think she's cute, but I can definitely tell she's fat."

Song Tianhao was amused by his words, "Qingqing is still young, it's normal for her to be chubby."

Fu Qing looked at his smiling face, paused for a moment, and then asked, "You like cute girls?"

Song Tianhao was taken aback, his face instantly turning slightly red. He frowned and glared at him, saying, "We're still in school, we're still kids. Our main task is to study hard. Those things can only be discussed when we grow up."

Fu Qing didn't miss the look on his face, and couldn't help but smile when she heard his words. "Alright, let's talk about it when we're older."

Song Tianhao thought his words sounded a bit strange, but he didn't have time to think about it too much.

When Lu Chuqing finished her fireworks, he gave her another one.

The little dumpling heard the two whispering to each other, but the surroundings were too noisy, with cannons going off one after another and cheers rising louder and louder, so she couldn't hear anything at all.

But with her keen intuition as a person from the future, she felt that this Fu Qing was a bit... something.

But that's just her feeling.

Although she knew that randomly taking supplements was wrong, she couldn't help herself.

I didn't feel anything when I saw Song Daqian and Song Tianhao playing around, but today I saw Fu Qing and Song Tianhao standing together.

She's probably the kind of gentle and understanding academic genius, and the school bully who's fierce on the outside but warm on the inside.

But looking at Song Tianhao, although he smiled gently and seemed to have a good temper, he didn't seem to have any signs of getting it right.

Moreover, Fu Qing didn't do anything out of line, so it's possible that she just had a craving for BL and started shipping random things.

Whether it is or not, it certainly isn't now.

Lu Chuqing continued playing with her fireworks, but her mind was wandering—

If that were true, at this point in time, it would be an outrage against heaven and earth...

Back home, Lu Ying was flipping through books, making notes in her notebook to add her own interpretations.

Lu Chuqing took off her cotton-padded coat and went over to lean on the table, watching the woman who was focused and attentive.
