Chapter 118 Ayan, My Wife

The man who jumped off the carriage was very tall and strong, wearing a nightgown. Although he tried his best to hide his face, he could not escape the sharp eyes of the man on the roof.

"Li Feng, you traitor!"

The man clenched his fists. He had to run away immediately.

Then a team ran out of the castle, and after meeting the carriage guards, they shouted, "Search! Search immediately to find out where the sharp arrow came from!"

The guards secretly escorted Li Feng into the Canlang Kingdom castle.

Late at night, the man was running around on the roof of the inn on the street, climbing over the eaves and walls as if walking on flat ground, like an agile little cheetah.

His lightness skills far exceeded the speed of the Canlang Kingdom's guards' search.

At a street corner, a horse-drawn carriage sped past.

The man leaped into the air and flew down like a roc, landing steadily on the haystack on the flatbed truck.

The young man driving the carriage turned around. He had dark skin and wore a leather hat with ear protection. His name was Tiewa.

He laughed and said, "Uncle, am I good at timing?"

"That's right, this kid is teachable!"

The man spoke in a cheerful voice and took off the leather hat with ear protection on his head, revealing his black ponytail.

In the moonlight, one could see that he had a handsome face, a nose like a hanging gall bladder, distinct lips, a square and strong chin, and smooth cheek lines.

It is adorned with two black mustaches, making it look more heroic.

The only thing left was a scar on the right cheek near the ear, a mark of the battlefield.

He had a powerful figure and broad shoulders, as if he were carefully carved from iron or stone.

Finally he found the traitor,

Finally I can go back to the capital.

Finally I can live up to the emperor's grace,

Finally I can go see my wife whom I have been thinking about day and night.

Ayan, your husband misses you so much.

Qi Yan's black and white eyes were filled with a vast ocean of longing, shining brightly, all for his A Yan.

The carriage sped to the bank of a deep river.

"Walk!"

"drive!"

Tiewa whipped the horse's back hard.

Following Qi Yan, he jumped from the carriage and jumped into the river.

It disappeared like a fish, and soon the river returned to calm.

While the people of Canlang Country were still searching for the assassin, Qi Yan and Tiewa had already swam all the way back to the border town of Shatuo.

Qi Yan jumped out holding the river clapper, reached out to Tiewa, and pulled him out of the river.

Although it was summer, the wind was blowing hard at the border, and the two men stamped their feet to shake off some of the water on their bodies.

"Run, and you won't feel cold anymore!"

Qi Yan patted Tiewa, and the two ran up the mountain.

The speed is so fast, like two gusts of wind.

After an incense stick of time, Tiewa couldn't keep up and shouted, "Uncle, wait for me!"

Qi Yan stopped and waited for him halfway up the mountain.

Under the hazy moonlight, he saw a flower with purple petals swaying in the wind.

Carefully pick it off and hold it in your hand.

A Yan likes flowers, so he likes it too.

Qi Yan thought of the scene in the palace where they picked many flowers and made incense together.

He helped and asked all sorts of questions.

"Ayan, what kind of flower is this?

Ah Yan, this is too much trouble, can't I just take you to buy some perfume?"

Sheng Xiyan picked up a handful of spices, smelled them carefully, and then poured them into a stone mortar.

She curled her lips and said, "What I want is the joy of the production process. How come you don't understand at all? Humph!"

Qi Yan moved closer and greedily sniffed the fragrance coming from her collar.

"The fragrance of Ah Yan is truly something you can't find anywhere else."

Sheng Xiyan hit him, and Jiao Yan said, "Shameless!"

"My husband is a rough man who wields swords and guns. I am sorry to have embarrassed you. I will accompany you in everything you do in the future."

The two of them selected spices, ground them, prepared them, and mixed them together, full of love and affection.

.........

Tiewa asked, "Uncle, what are you laughing at?"

Qi Yan came to his senses and carefully put the purple flower into his chest pocket.

Thinking of leaving the border, Qi Yan did not forget to start giving instructions.

"Tiewa, you're already sixteen years old. You can't waste the martial arts I've taught you over the past six months. No matter what you do in the future, it's always good to have self-defense skills."

"Uncle, are you leaving?"

Tiewa looked very sad.

"Mom said you would definitely leave, but I don't believe it. Is it true? Uncle, where are you going? Can you take me with you?"

Qi Yan couldn't say who he was, it was a secret.

"What will happen to your mother if you leave?"

Tiewa hung his head helplessly.

After a while, when it was almost dawn, the two returned to the thatched hut on the mountain.

A middle-aged woman heard the sound and came out of the house, holding a cast iron kettle that was steaming.

Wearing a coarse cloth dress and with a bright smile on her face, she is Tiewa's mother, Ruan.

"You're back, come and have some hot milk tea."

The woman glanced at her son, then at Qi Yan, her eyes filled with hidden affection.

"Your clothes are all wet. Go change quickly, Mr. Yan. I made you a new set of robes. It's a good time for you to try them on."

Qi Yan took the neatly folded gray-blue robe and went to the next room to change.

After a while, they all gathered in the middle yard.

Milk tea was boiling on the stove, and sweet potatoes, yams, and chestnuts were roasting.

"Mr. Yan, try the mutton buns."

Seeing her son's unhappy look, Ruan handed him the buns.

"Tiewa, what's wrong with you?"

Tiewa stamped his feet and cried, "Uncle is leaving!"

The bun in Ruan's hand fell to the ground, and tears welled up in her big eyes in an instant.

Qi Yan drank the milk tea silently. Parting is always sad.

In a battle more than two years ago, the Canlang Kingdom was defeated and fled. He led his troops in pursuit, but fell into a trap. In order to protect the large troops in the rear, he ordered his men to use explosives to cut off the road.
