Chapter 16
The car stopped at the gate of Wei Ge's community. There were no parking spaces in the community, so Xing Zhao found a temporary parking place nearby.
There aren't that many rules in places like this, and you won't get extra tickets for temporary parking.
Wei Ge got out of the car first, opened the back door and went to get the bag on the back table. He didn't know when Xing Zhao had walked around behind him.
Before Wei Ge could straighten up, he felt a man's breath coming from not far away from him.
Xing Zhao's chest was pressed against Wei Ge's back, and Wei Ge heard the man say, "Let me take it."
His hand brushed past Wei Ge's arm and took over the bags from his hand. Wei Ge's scalp tingled.
"What's wrong?" Xing Zhao felt a little strange when he saw Wei Ge didn't turn around and kept the same posture.
Wei Ge didn't say anything because Xing Zhao was too close to him just now. His breath hit his earlobe, making Wei Ge feel a little uncomfortable and unwell.
"Nothing." Wei Ge turned and smiled at Xing Zhao, as if trying to hide his abnormality with a smile.
"Then please help me fix my tie. This is my first time here, so I need to look good." Xing Zhao looked serious, not realizing the inappropriateness of his words. Fortunately, he added, "I haven't seen you, senior brother, for so many years."
Wei Ge nodded. Xing Zhao's hands were full of things, so he really couldn't help him fix his tie.
He moved a little closer and used both hands to touch the tie around Xing Zhao's neck, which was said to be a handmade imitation of a tie worth millions.
Although Wei Ge rarely wears a tie, he participated in a cultural performance when he was a child. That was his first time tying a tie. He knew the method, but his movements were a bit unfamiliar.
He fiddled with his hands in front of Xing Zhao for a while, and finally straightened the tie that had become a little loose after driving for an afternoon.
Wei Ge patted his "work" with satisfaction, but still felt that something was missing.
Thinking of this, he took out the brooch he had just bought in the store from his pocket.
It got stuck in the end of Xing Zhao's tie.
Xing Zhao was stunned for a moment, then looked down at Wei Ge, who was a little shorter than him. His hair was fluffy and he was very serious and well-behaved when helping him tie his tie.
He lowered his gaze again and looked at the small brooch inserted into his multi-million tie.
Xing Zhao had never worn this kind of thing before, let alone this style.
But he looked inexplicably pleasing today.
Very good match.
Xing Zhao raised his hand and ruffled Wei Ge's hair. He himself didn't understand the meaning of this action.
But every time his fingers touched Wei Ge's soft hair, Xing Zhao felt happy.
After having this child around, I feel happier more often.
"A gift for me?" Xing Zhao looked at Wei Ge, who had "taken the initiative" and looked up at him, his eyes narrowed into slits.
"Yes, thank you for taking me in these days, accompanying me shopping today, and sending me home." Wei Ge said thank you all at once, his expression sincere and his eyes bright.
Xing Zhao hadn't seen such bright eyes for many years.
After he entered society, the eyes he saw were full of calculation, greed or some other things. Xing Zhao didn't like to look into other people's eyes, even those he trusted the most.
He had seen fear of him and some humility in Shen Che's eyes.
No matter how good he was to him, those eyes never brightened, and even became darker and darker.
He had seen oppression and disappointment in his parents' eyes, but never appreciation or satisfaction.
As for Ji Zeyu, he really didn't have as many thoughts as others, so he didn't make Xing Zhao feel uncomfortable. Xing Zhao felt that he looked a little stupid when he looked at him, and his mind seemed empty.
Maybe the two of them were too familiar with each other, so Ji Zeyu had no defense against him. In short, he was not very smart and did not have much energy.
When Ji Zeyu looks at others...most of the time he is lustful, and his mind is not completely empty, in short, it's all those things, not doing his job properly.
Wei Ge is different from those people. His eyes are filled with hope for the future, innocence, and an unguarded sincerity towards Xing Zhao.
Xing Zhao likes Wei Ge.
In other words, he felt that Wei Ge was one of the few people in the world who could take his sincerity seriously.
Everyone who approaches him in this world has other intentions. When everyone covets his interests, Wei Ge wants to repay him for his kindness.
He wanted nothing from him, so he wanted to give him more.
Xing Zhao somewhat enjoyed the fact that he was treating Wei Ge better and better, but Wei Ge was somewhat nervous and cautious about his kindness.
cute.
"So all the work I've done is worth it all with just one brooch?" Xing Zhao looked at Wei Ge and wanted to tease him.
"No... this brooch is just..." Wei Ge was indeed panicked, thinking that this man really looked down on his small brooch. However, the value of this brooch was indeed nothing compared to the things he was holding in his hands.
While he was still trying to figure out how to respond to the man in front of him who seemed to be deliberately trying to make things difficult for him, he heard Xing Zhao say in an unprecedentedly gentle tone, "That's enough."
Wei Ge was stunned for a moment, then looked up at Xing Zhao and met his gaze.
The man's eyes were deep and he looked at Wei Ge seriously.
If the smile in his eyes just now was an attempt to joke with Wei Ge, his expression at this moment clearly showed sincerity and joy.
Wei Ge saw joy in his eyes.
He heard Xing Zhao say, "I like it very much, so this brooch is enough for me."
The wind blowing from all directions wrapped around Wei Ge, but the weather was not cold today. Even the wind that usually felt cold seemed so warm at this moment.
Wei Ge and Xing Zhao walked home side by side. He had walked this road countless times before, but this was the first time he walked it with Xing Zhao.
Both of Xing Zhao's hands were full of things, which looked not light, but Xing Zhao did not let Wei Ge carry them.
He felt that the child was malnourished and could not let him do any heavy work until he gained some weight.
Wei Ge had nowhere to put his hands, so he could only put them in his pockets.
Children's laughter could be heard from a small park in the distance, and a dog was rolling on the grass. The sun had already set completely, and the lights in the community came on, casting shadows on the two people, which gradually lengthened.
Wei Ge felt relaxed. This was the most relaxing moment he had ever felt in all the days he had spent with Xing Zhao.
From the nervousness and awkwardness when meeting Xing Zhao on the first day, to the gradual intimacy between the two, or rather the sudden intimacy, in short, the distance between them seemed to be getting closer and closer.
Xing Zhao's physical actions towards him became more and more frequent, although Wei Ge would often get fluttery at some of Xing Zhao's actions.
But he hid it very well, and Xing Zhao didn't notice, so he would spend more time with him.
Whenever Xing Zhao touched Wei Ge, he always felt an inexplicable sense of security. Wei Ge didn't know if this was love, as he had never liked anyone in his life.
At first, I thought that my feelings for Xing Zhao were due to a character from an anime I had watched.
But Xing Zhao became more three-dimensional as they got along, and Wei Ge slowly discovered that he was different from those characters.
It was even more to his liking than any other characters he had seen.
If you really like someone, you should keep it in your heart.
All the care and love that the younger generation can get nowadays may disappear in an instant the moment they say they like someone.
Then he would keep it in his heart, and wait until Xing Zhao really got married and had his own partner one day, and then he would leave quietly.
Thinking of this, Wei Ge secretly reached out his hand to the corner of Xing Zhao's clothes, but before he could grab it, Xing Zhao's body suddenly dodged away.
The expected loss has not yet arrived.
He heard Xing Zhao say in a voice that sounded almost worried: "Be careful."
Wei Ge's body shifted slightly, and he was pulled into Xing Zhao's arms.
A passing kid on a skateboard let out a mischievous laugh. Wei Ge fell into Xing Zhao's chest in a daze. The familiar and safe atmosphere quickly hit him in an instant.
He turned his head and saw Xing Zhao looking at him with worried eyes, although his words contained these commands: "Don't think about things when you walk in the future."
"Okay." Wei Ge nodded. He just wanted to say yes to anything Xing Zhao said.
He wanted to agree to all of them.
Xing Zhao pulled Wei Ge into his inner side and turned to look at the child who had deliberately skated towards Wei Ge just now, but the child made a face at Xing Zhao.
provocative.
This action made Xing Zhao's expression darken, but Wei Ge reached out and pulled Xing Zhao's sleeve, "It's okay, kid, go home first."
Saying to go home first doesn't mean that I won't teach this little brat a lesson. Wei Ge knows this kid. He is a sixth-grade student living down the hall from him who has poor academic performance and is often beaten by his parents because of poor grades.
I heard that his parents filled his spare time with tutoring classes.
As luck would have it, when I was near the apartment building, I happened to meet the child's mother coming back from buying groceries.
"Sister Yang." Wei Ge smiled at the other party with a well-behaved look on his face.
We have been neighbors for so many years that we are familiar with each other, so it is natural for us to say hello when someone comes back.
"Hey, Wei Ge is back. He seems to be a little taller than a few months ago." Sister Yang downstairs turned her head and glanced at Xing Zhao. Xing Zhao was imposing and handsome, and it was hard not to take a second look at him.
"Who is this?" Sister Yang asked.
"This is my friend." Wei Ge spoke subconsciously. He always felt that if he said it was his father's friend, Xing Zhao would seem a little old. The whole community knew that Wei Mingzhe's friends were all fat and greasy friends, and his colleagues were also very old.
"The boy is handsome." Sister Yang smiled at Xing Zhao, wondering which relative in the family was not married, but her thoughts were interrupted by Wei Ge.
"I just saw your son. He could do somersaults while skateboarding. He's pretty amazing. Is his study going well lately?" Wei Ge narrowed his eyes, a child about to be beaten.
Sure enough, Sister Yang's expression changed. "Little bastard, isn't there math class today? I thought he was actively studying and didn't go to the cram school door to watch him! Where is he?"
"It's right there." Xing Zhao looked calm. He stretched out his hand and pointed backwards, revealing the child's location.
Sister Yang exchanged a few final greetings, rolled up her sleeves, and headed in the direction Xing Zhao pointed.
"It seems you're not one to be bullied." Xing Zhao turned to look at Wei Ge beside him. "You don't confront people head-on, but you're doing things behind their backs, right?"
Wei Ge turned his head and looked at Xing Zhao a little guilty, as if his fox tail had been tucked away for many years and was accidentally exposed.
"I like it." Xing Zhao suddenly said "I like it" again, which made Wei Ge stunned.
Wei Ge looked at Xing Zhao and heard him say again in great earnest, "I prefer kids like you who are a little clever to those who are completely obedient."
