Chapter 30
When Wei Ge woke up the next day, Xing Zhao was still sleeping soundly beside him.
Wei Ge felt excited and nervous because he had secretly kissed Xing Zhao last night without being discovered. Perhaps because of this kiss, Wei Ge was more certain of his feelings for Xing Zhao.
But it was precisely because of this certainty that Wei Ge dared not be presumptuous.
If we say that last night I was drunk and didn't know what happened, it would be difficult to explain what happened next.
Otherwise, cultivate a hobby of drinking.
Alcohol is indeed the best weapon to cover up all mistakes, but if I develop this hobby, I will probably be severely criticized by Xing Zhao, the "head of the family".
He got out of bed quietly without waking Xing Zhao, and went downstairs to see that Lao Qin had not come yet.
Wei Ge walked into the restaurant, opened the refrigerator and looked at the ingredients inside. It seemed that he had never cooked a meal for Xing Zhao in such a long time.
It was Xing Zhao who cooked noodles for him once.
Wei Ge took out a few eggs and a bag of bread from the refrigerator and heated them in the toaster in the room. He didn't know how to cook complicated dishes, but he could make do with simple ones.
When Xing Zhao came down from upstairs, Wei Ge was still at the dining table wondering whether the smiling face of the egg salad dressing should face him or the opposite side.
"Why are you awake so early? Are you hungry?" Xing Zhao's voice came from a distance. The man walked slowly closer until he stopped in front of Wei Ge and saw the "loving breakfast" on the table.
"You made it?" Xing Zhao's voice sounded a little surprised, as if Wei Ge's cooking was like the sun rising from the west.
"Well, Uncle Xing took good care of me last night. I made breakfast for you."
Wei Ge squinted his eyes and smiled at Xing Zhao. He looked very well behaved, just like the first day Xing Zhao saw Wei Ge.
Xing Zhao coughed lightly to hide his other emotions, "Then I'll try it."
Wei Ge sat next to Xing Zhao and watched his uncle eat the breakfast he made bite by bite.
Maybe it was because Wei Ge’s gaze was too obvious, but Xing Zhao suddenly turned his head, and Wei Ge was so scared that he immediately avoided his gaze and stuffed the bread in his hand into his mouth.
"Weiwei, I have a meeting today, so I may not be able to take you to school."
Weiwei?
Wei Ge was stunned for a moment. This seemed to be the first time Xing Zhao called him Wei Wei. It might be because he had been with the Wei family for a long time, and his parents called him Wei Wei Wei all the time every day.
However, Wei Ge was still dazed when Xing Zhao called out.
"Ah... OK." Wei Ge's brain started to freeze and he didn't hear clearly what was said next.
Wei Ge's response was too cold, and Xing Zhao thought that the child was upset because he didn't send the child to school.
It's quite rare, this is the first time Wei Ge has lost his temper.
But that's what Xing Zhao thought.
"Don't worry, I'll take you out for something delicious after get off work tonight." Xing Zhao reached out and rubbed Wei Ge's head, and Wei Ge's brain froze even more.
"Ah... in the evening?" There was only a week left before the league match between ARKI and the Academy of Fine Arts. Wei Ge had originally planned to go to the studio every night to study. "Maybe not. I'm a bit busy this week."
After saying that, Wei Ge glanced at the time. There was still half an hour before class started. Only then did Xing Zhao's words just now emerge in his mind.
Xing Zhao said he didn't have time to see him off today.
He stuffed the last bite of bread into his mouth and quickly stood up, "Uncle, I'm leaving now. I'm going to be late."
Xing Zhao sat in his original seat, watching Wei Ge hurried away, then took out his phone and searched: "How do I soothe a tantrum child?"
-
Wei Ge’s first class was advanced mathematics. He thought he could escape from mathematics after studying art in college, but he didn’t expect that this course would still stay with him.
It is suggested to remove advanced mathematics courses from the compulsory courses, as they will not be used when buying groceries anyway.
I used to pass the math exam with the help of Xing Zhao’s “teaching”, but after entering university, I still had to go through this kind of death course.
Wei Ge felt miserable, but he had no place to vent his feelings.
An old acquaintance is also suffering the same fate.
Li Cheng sneaked into the classroom late from the last row, his face drooping like a bitter gourd, until he saw Wei Ge sitting in the third row from the back.
"Wei Ge!" Li Cheng's voice came from behind him. Wei Ge turned around and saw this guy sliding directly from the outermost seat to his side.
The silly guy in the dormitory failed the exam again.
Wei Ge even began to doubt whether Li Cheng had passed the exam, or perhaps they would be in the same class next year.
"Why did you come to class in person? I heard that it's OK to just go in person during exams." Wei Ge lowered his voice. He had heard a little about having to retake a course if you failed.
"I'm afraid I won't understand the exam, so I want to leave a good impression on the teacher first. If I had known you were here, I wouldn't have come. Can you pass me the answers?" Li Cheng put his arm around Wei Ge's shoulders, without any hesitation.
Wei Ge didn't say anything. He was not the kind of stingy and rigid person. Mainly, he couldn't say for sure about such things.
He really couldn't understand math, and he was afraid that he would fail the course.
Li Cheng looked up at the teacher standing at the front and said, "Since we're here today, it would be a shame if we don't do something."
Do a job? That doesn't sound good.
Wei Ge subconsciously moved his body to the chair on the left, and Li Cheng followed him like a follower, not feeling at all that Wei Ge was avoiding him.
The good thing about this kind of person is that no matter what happens, they act as if nothing happened and are not affected by external stimuli at all.
Li Cheng's insensitivity is too strong.
"When the teacher asks a question, I will stand up and answer it, and you will tell me the answer from below."
Li Cheng spoke with confidence, making it seem as if Wei Ge was entitled to answer his questions.
It would be fine if Wei Ge knew it, but he doesn’t know it at all.
The teacher asked a question, and before Wei Ge could even utter "I don't know", the older brother next to him had already stood up.
"Teacher, I know the answer to this question. I'll answer it!"
The movement was too fast and I couldn't pull it back.
The female teacher in front of him, wearing round-framed glasses, pushed her glasses up, put the lesson plan on the table, and smiled, "Then, student, you answer the question."
Li Cheng reached out and patted Wei Ge's shoulder, signaling him to tell him the answer quickly.
Wei Ge's hands were almost numb from searching for answers on his phone. His fingers were typing too fast. This was the only way he would go through fire and water for his brothers in college.
"The answer is 368."
Wei Ge's voice was very low. Li Cheng frowned as he listened. "Let's go. Let's all go."
The students next to him giggled. The teacher frowned and thought for a moment, then nodded seriously and asked Li Cheng to sit down.
"This student answered correctly, but his Mandarin isn't very good and his accent is quite heavy!"
The classmates in the class laughed again, except Li Cheng.
He sat down and put his arm around Wei Ge's shoulders, his expression puzzled: "This mathematics is very profound."
What is profound and extensive?
"There are Chinese characters for this math answer? Could it be that one plus one really equals Wang Xiaomeng?"
"What do you usually watch?"
Wei Ge couldn't help but ask, mainly because Li Cheng's way of thinking was really different from his own.
Li Cheng didn't answer, staring at the teacher's blackboard. Wei Ge knew that his mind was empty and he wasn't thinking about anything, but the teacher at the podium nodded to him frequently.
The sight is turned on to automatically follow, and Li Cheng's eyes will follow wherever the chalk is. No matter whether he listens to the class or not, he has left a good impression on the teacher anyway.
Doing all this is not enough, there is still one last step. As soon as the bell rang, Li Cheng rushed to the podium.
"Teacher, my name is Li Cheng." Li Cheng introduced himself and started by introducing himself.
"Student Li, is there anything wrong?" The math teacher narrowed his eyes. It was usually not a good thing when a student blocked his way during class at the university.
It's not for learning anyway.
"I took it again last year, and several of my classes overlap with this one. See..."
"Just come during the exam. You can ask your junior classmates for your notes."
Li Cheng achieved his goal, thanked the teacher, turned around and ran back to Wei Ge, "See? This is foolproof."
This big brother's style of doing things gives people the feeling that he has failed courses for many years and is proficient in various operations.
Having so many tricks up his sleeve yet still failing the exam does require some skill.
"It's almost noon, let's have lunch together." Li Cheng pulled Wei Ge outside.
"Where are they?"
Wei Ge asked the question subconsciously. After all, they usually acted as a group of four. This was the first time he and Li Cheng went out to eat alone.
"Xu Zhou has an activity and went to the club for lunch at noon." Xu Zhou is a socialite and has a lot of activities on weekdays, so he basically has no time to eat alone.
"Da Linzi... I don't know. He usually disappears on Saturdays. I don't know what happened these past two weeks. Whenever he doesn't have classes, I can't find him."
-
At the entrance of the coffee shop, Zhang Zhilin walked in with a huge backpack on his back and thick-framed glasses on his face. If nerds have an image, that would probably be what Zhang Zhilin looks like now.
Today is a weekday. There are some white-collar workers working in the cafe at noon, but there are basically no people in the afternoon.
Zhang Zhilin walked through the door and did not find a seat to sit down, but went straight into the staff lounge.
The store manager came out of the room. She was a woman in her twenties. The clothes she was wearing were not cheap. It seemed that she opened this kind of cafe out of love.
When the store manager saw Zhang Zhilin, his eyes lit up and he quickly walked towards him.
"Please come and help me again in the next two days. The person we previously arranged to work with suddenly had an unexpected family accident. I will double your salary for these few days."
"It's not a bother. I'm just helping myself." Zhang Zhilin smiled at the store manager, and his scholarly air could still be felt in his words.
The two exchanged pleasantries, and Zhang Zhilin walked straight through a long corridor, at the end of which was a place similar to a dressing room.
"Are you here?" A blonde woman wearing black high heels who was putting makeup on the staff in front of her nodded at Zhang Zhilin.
"Um."
"Go try on your clothes first to see if they fit you. I'll do your makeup once this one is done."
Zhang Zhilin didn't say much, but went straight to the dressing room with the clothes pointed out by the makeup artist. The dressing room was very dark, and Zhang Zhilin groped along the wall to turn on the light.
It wasn't until the lights were turned on that the pale pink dress in Zhang Zhilin's hands was revealed. He unzipped it and slipped into it through the opening of the dress.
It just so happened that the previous clerk had a similar height and weight to him, and because of this, he had the opportunity to earn extra money.
"How is it?" The makeup artist's voice came from outside the door.
Zhang Zhilin quickly put on her skirt, zipped it up, and walked out of the locker room. The whole dress fit Zhang Zhilin perfectly.
The makeup artist observed Zhang Zhilin for a moment and threw two breast pads at him, "Put this on."
Zhang Zhilin took the bra pad with both hands and stuffed it into his clothes skillfully. He raised his head and the makeup artist nodded at him with a smile.
