After Pei Yu finished the work in his hands, he picked up the embroidery needle again. It was not as heavy as when he first learned it. He did not embroider directly on the red veil, but took out a handkerchief to embroider.
Chen Li leaned in closer to look, "Ayu, you embroidered this... mandarin duck very well."
Pei Yu paused, looked up, and said somewhat depressedly: "Ali, I'm talking about the eagle, can't you see it?"
Chen Li: He is short-sighted, but I really didn’t notice it.
"Or, you'd better stop embroidering!"
Pei Yu raised his eyebrows and said, "Why not embroider? I, Pei Yu, have never given up so easily on anything I want to do."
"Okay, go ahead."
After an hour, Pei Yu looked at the handkerchief he had embroidered with satisfaction. Although it was not entirely satisfactory, it was already very good.
Chen Li: "Although it doesn't look like an eagle, you have embroidered a domineering look."
Pei Yu pulled her over and held her on his lap. "A-Li, if you want to laugh, just laugh. Isn't it uncomfortable to hold it in?"
Chen Li shook her head and said nothing. Ah Yu was just learning embroidery for her, how could she laugh? That would be too unkind.
I had a good idea in my mind, but it was ruined in the next second.
"Puff~"
"Ha ha ha ha……"
Pei Yu looked at the masterpiece on the table. Well, it was indeed a little funny.
Chen Li only smiled for a moment and then stopped. Afraid of hurting the man's damn self-esteem, he refused to continue embroidering.
"Ayu, you are much better than me. I couldn't embroider anything the first time and my hands were full of needle holes."
This time Pei Yu could hear that Ali really wanted to praise herself.
When Chen Li walked out of the Prince of Jingnan's Mansion, the sunset outside had already covered the sky. He took a carriage and soon returned to the General of Zhennan's Mansion.
As for her princess's mansion, it is still under renovation.
Pei Yu was almost obsessed with embroidery, and all the servants in Prince Jingnan's mansion knew about it.
However, the servants in the palace had tacitly agreed not to spread the news. If it were to get out, wouldn't it damage the reputation of the prince himself?
Chen Li was dragged by her mother to pack her dowry these days, and had no time to look for Pei Yu. It was four days later when she finished packing.
Remembering that he hadn't visited A Yu for several days, he climbed over the wall of the general's mansion at night and came to Pei Yu's study.
She didn't sneak in, but came in openly and flipped over.
When the secret guards in the dark of the Jingnan Palace saw him, they didn't even bother to stop him, and didn't even bother to show their bodies. Anyway, Princess Hui'an had already understood the layout of the palace and knew where to find the prince.
Chen Li looked at the brightly candlelit study. Without using her mental power to check, she thought in her mind, what is A Yu doing in there now?
"Squeak~"
"Go out and don't bother me."
Chen Li closed the door with her backhand and approached quietly. Pei Yu frowned, and when he raised his head, he did not forget to say: "Didn't I say..."
The coldness on his face faded away quietly when he saw Chen Li, and his temperament became gentler at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"Ali, why are you here?"
Chen Li pretended to go out, "You just asked me to go out, I'm going out now."
Pei Yu stood up as soon as he saw her and quickly reached out to hold her.
"Ali, I'm not talking about you. Come and see if I've made much progress."
Pei Yu pulled Chen Li to the desk. His desk was now surrounded by embroidery thread and cloth, and even the brush, ink and inkstone had been moved away.
Chen Li watched him pick up a handkerchief on which was embroidered a white pear blossom, lifelike.
"Ayu, did you embroider this?"
Chen Li admitted that she was surprised when she saw it for a moment and thought it was done by an embroiderer.
"Well, how's it going?"
"Ayu, you are so awesome!"
Chen Li looked at the handkerchief from head to toe. It was truly amazing that it could be made into this in just a few days.
A smile appeared on Pei Yu's face. To hear Ali say this, all his efforts in the past few days were not in vain.
Pei Yu looked at a book spread out in front of Shen Li, "Ah Li, take a look at the pattern on the red veil. What kind of pattern do you want?"
Chen Li leaned over to take a look and saw mandarin ducks playing in the water, a dragon and a phoenix, twin lotus flowers, and some beautiful auspicious clouds and wedding characters.
They were all festive. I asked the man next to me, "Ayu, which one do you like best?"
Pei Yu looked at several patterns and pointed at the lotus pattern. "This one looks better."
Chen Li nodded. She also thought that the lotus flower pattern was the most beautiful. It was not very simple, nor was it very complicated. After looking around, this was the only one that suited her best.
"It seems that Ayu and I have the same vision."
Pei Yu put the things down. He had been concentrating on embroidery these days and had no time to see Chen Li. His longing for her was growing wildly.
Holding her and sitting on the chair, Chen Li reached out to touch the dark circles under his eyes, and suddenly felt that the decision she had made was wrong.
"Ayu, didn't you get enough sleep in the past three days?"
Pei Yu opened his eyes and looked at her, with many red bloodshot eyes.
Chen Li hissed, "Pei Zian, forget about not being able to embroider it, but you're not sleeping like this, are you trying to make me depressed... Ugh!"
Realizing what she was about to say and that he didn't want to hear what came next, Pei Yu simply blocked her mouth and absorbed her breath bit by bit.
Chen Li leaned in his arms and gasped for breath. Why do girls always suffer losses? It seems that men have a natural advantage in these matters.
"Good Ah Li, I know my limits. How about I take you to the banquet tomorrow?"
