Gu Zhixing stared at her for a long time, his gaze moving from her slightly reddened eyes to her tightly pursed lips, and then to her slightly trembling fingertips.

She nestled in his arms, listening to his strong heartbeat, his scent filling her nostrils, her heart in turmoil.
She didn't know what he wanted to do, nor did she know what she was thinking.
All she knew was that she would probably never forget Gu Zhixing in her lifetime.
The carriage slowly came to a stop, and Chongyang's voice came from outside: "Your Highness, we have arrived."
Gu Zhixing hummed in agreement, but did not immediately release her. Instead, he lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "Shen Jintang, there are some things we need to make clear tonight."
Shen Jintang's fingertips trembled, and her heart pounded like thunder.
