What did you give me to eat?
Shen Jintang's voice trembled slightly. She felt that her mind was not quite clear, and her skin was starting to turn red and hot, as if she were drunk.
Gu Zhixing also noticed that Shen Jintang's condition was not right. He reached out to touch her forehead and found it burning hot, ridiculously hot.
He frowned, somewhat flustered: "It's nothing? Just a few candied fruits."
He hurriedly rummaged through the candied fruits in his purse, tasting each one to confirm that they were not poisonous.
But Shen Jintang's face grew increasingly red, and her breathing became rapid.
"Did they put some kind of weird drug in the candied fruit?"
Gu Zhixing was a little anxious. He picked up a candied fruit, brought it close to his nose, and smelled it carefully, but he couldn't detect anything unusual.
Shen Jintang leaned against the carriage, her eyes gradually becoming hazy. She reached out and grabbed Gu Zhixing's sleeve, her voice soft and slightly drunk: "No... it seems like I'm drunk. Did you... give me some alcohol?"
Gu Zhixing was taken aback for a moment before he remembered that some of the candied fruit in his purse had indeed been soaked in wine, but only a little bit, just to add some flavor.
His heart tightened, but then he felt a little confused.
Shen Jintang drank so much wine and was fine, how could she be so easily intoxicated by a piece of candied fruit with a hint of alcohol?
Gu Zhixing nervously supported Shen Jintang, looked at her, and asked, "How are you? Are you feeling very unwell?"
Gu Zhixing knew what it felt like to be drunk; it was very unpleasant.
At this juncture, he didn't want to investigate why Shen Jintang was in this state; he just wanted to know how to make Shen Jintang feel better.
"Knock me out..." Shen Jintang's voice was so soft and sweet, as if it were floating out of a dream.
She knew all too well what would happen if she got drunk.
She might go completely insane.
She disliked the feeling of being out of control.

Shen Jintang grabbed Gu Zhixing's collar, her originally cold voice becoming soft and utterly threatening.
Gu Zhixing was puzzled and hesitated before taking action.
Why did you knock her unconscious?
He's just drunk, he's not going to cause trouble.
Even if he gets drunk and acts crazy, it's okay; he can still control Shen Jintang.

But in the end, she couldn't resist the effects of alcohol and collapsed limply onto Gu Zhixing's shoulder, her breath brushing against his neck.
Just a second before losing her mind, Shen Jintang thought she was going to die.

Feeling Shen Jintang's soft body and smelling the warm fragrance of wine emanating from her, Gu Zhixing suddenly felt a little drunk.
The soft, yielding Shen Jintang in his arms swayed gently with the swaying of the carriage. Her breath carried a faint scent of wine, warm and ticklish against his neck.
He turned his head slightly, wanting to avoid her, yet reluctant to push her away.
The night outside the carriage was deep, and moonlight shone through the cracks in the carriage window, falling on Shen Jintang's hair.
The carriage was filled with a faint smell of alcohol and the sweet aroma of candied fruit, making people even more drowsy.
Gu Zhixing felt the pulse of Shen Jintang through his fingertips as he held her wrist, which mingled with his own heartbeat and sounded extremely strong at that moment.
Her wrists were so thin they looked as if they could be broken with a single grasp, and her skin shimmered faintly in the moonlight.
So good.
She seemed to be more well-behaved than before, as if she were drunk.
"Your Highness, Master, we have arrived."
The sound of flowing fire rang out at that moment.
Gu Zhixing's fingers froze in mid-air, his movement of gently stroking Chen Jintang's cheek coming to an abrupt halt.
His eyes dimmed slightly, as if he was somewhat unwilling that the journey home had been so short.
He swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly.
But in the end, they still wrapped Shen Jintang completely in their coats, afraid that she would feel even a little cold.
Then, he strode down from the carriage, his movements swift and decisive.
Back in the room, Gu Zhixing carefully placed Shen Jintang on the bed, his movements so gentle as if he were afraid of disturbing her.
However, just as he was about to get up and leave, Shen Jintang seemed to find her coat too hot and ripped it off, revealing her fair face.
He leaned down slightly, his gaze falling on Shen Jintang's face, her fair and rosy skin appearing exceptionally delicate in the candlelight.
Her lips were slightly parted, her breath carrying a faint scent of alcohol, and her eyes were hazy with intoxication, as if veiled by a thin mist.
Gu Zhixing was stunned for a moment. His gaze fell on Shen Jintang's lips, and the feeling of their previous kiss instantly flashed through his mind.
The soft, warm touch seemed to still linger between my lips and teeth.
His heart was pounding like a drum, and his breathing became unsteady.
He subconsciously leaned down, his eyes filled with lust, his heart pounding in his ears.
However, just as his lips were about to touch hers, Shen Jintang slowly opened her eyes.
“Gu…Zhixing…”
Shen Jintang's voice was tinged with confusion and bewilderment. Her gaze fell on Gu Zhixing's face, as if she had not yet fully come to her senses.
Gu Zhixing froze instantly, a hint of embarrassment at being caught red-handed flashing across his face.
