She wanted to read a book, but she couldn't concentrate on the words. Her vision was blurry, and her mind was filled with the image of Gu Zhixing carrying that woman as they walked down the street.

Shen Jintang narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze deep, as if he were pondering something.
She frowned slightly, her mind filled with doubt.
Logically speaking, now that he has a new love, he should be with that person, so why is he coming to find her again?
After a moment, she sighed softly, and finally got up and walked outside.
At that moment, snowflakes began to fall from the sky, drifting down like willow catkins, as light as snowflakes and as white as pear blossoms.
The surroundings were quickly covered in a layer of silver, and the whole world became quiet and cold.
Shen Jintang reached out and caught a snowflake, watching it gradually melt in her palm, turning into a crystal droplet of water that slid down her fingertips.
"Come up."
Gu Zhixing rode his horse straight into the palace. He was tall and imposing, and was reaching out his hand to Shen Jintang.
Snowflakes landed on his shoulders and hair, quickly covering them with a thin layer of frost. Even his nose was slightly red from the cold, but his eyes remained firm and deep.
Shen Jintang's thoughts became increasingly chaotic. She frowned, feeling somewhat hesitant.
Gu Zhixing didn't give her much time to hesitate. He reached out and put his arm around her waist, lifting her steadily onto the horse's back.
"drive--"
He squeezed the horse's belly with his legs, and the horse neighed loudly before galloping away.
Shen Jintang was in such a hurry that she didn't even put on her outer robe. Her horse was moving at a very fast speed, and the cold wind howled, making her cheeks sting.
Upon seeing this, Gu Zhixing did not hesitate to pull her into a tight embrace and wrap her in his cloak.
A warm feeling emanated from behind her, and Shen Jintang could even smell his familiar scent. The woody fragrance mingled with the coolness of snow, making her emotions even more complicated.

He wrapped one arm around her slender waist and gently pulled her back into his embrace, his actions carrying a hint of domineering force.
He didn't answer her question directly, but instead leaned close to her ear and whispered in her deep voice, "You'll know when we get there."
After that, all that remained was the howling wind. Shen Jintang could only hold tightly to the reins and let the horse gallop away, her heart filled with trepidation and unease.
For some reason, although they had been intimate before, this closeness today felt particularly unbearable for Shen Jintang.
Perhaps it was the subtle barrier in her heart, or perhaps it was her confusion about this relationship, that made her feel a little suffocated in this warm embrace.
Finally, Shen Jintang couldn't suppress her discomfort and asked, "Aren't you afraid of being punished for riding a horse in the palace?"
His voice carried a deliberate calmness.
