Chapter 34 The Girl's Palm

The sky was just beginning to lighten.

Zhou Chu was startled awake by a knock on the door and groggily turned on his phone.

It's only 6:30.

"Are you up yet?" Gao Qinyi's voice rang out from outside the door: "Get up quickly, or I'm going to force the door open."

"Sister Qin." Zhou Chu rubbed his eyes and jumped out of bed.

I simply put on a short-sleeved shirt and opened the door.

Gao Qinyi was standing at the door, and it was clear that she had almost finished tidying up.

"What time is it?" Zhou Chu held up his phone screen in front of her. "Didn't we agree to meet at eight o'clock and leave?"

Gao Qinyi pressed down on his hand holding the phone: "We need to tidy up and eat breakfast, where do we find the time!"

Ten minutes later.

When Gao Qinyi pulled Zhou Chu out the door, he was not fully awake yet.

I'm awake, but not fully awake.

"Don't ride the motorcycle today."

Zhou Chu couldn't help but glance at her little skirt.

It looks great and suits you very well, but it's clearly not very suitable for riding a motorcycle.

Gao Qinyi led him slightly ahead of him, heading towards the morning market.

Just turn one corner and cross the park to reach the morning market.

There weren't many people in the park in the early morning; it was mostly elderly people doing their morning exercises.

As I left the park, there were noticeably more people.

Gao Qinyi walked through the crowd and became the absolute focus of attention.

Many men, in particular, naturally followed Gao Qinyi with their eyes.

Then they were punished by their girlfriends who grabbed their ears.

Because they were so close, Zhou Chu could clearly sense her nervousness.

Because her breathing was clearly somewhat unsteady, and her hands were unconsciously clutching the hem of her clothes.

Zhou Chu hesitated for a moment.

He reached out and grabbed Gao Qinyi's hand.

Her body visibly trembled, and she looked at Zhou Chu with disbelief in her eyes.

Because in her mind, Chu Chu was clearly a submissive boy, and she usually had to take the initiative.

I never expected him to take the initiative, especially when I was feeling so lost and uncertain...

It seems he's not the kind of boy who knows nothing and has no courage after all...

Her hand, which was clutching the hem of her clothes, instantly loosened and slowly turned upside down in his large hand.

She didn't want to stop until their palms were facing each other.

no.

It happened so quickly; how could she possibly let herself be held so easily?

She gently rubbed Zhou Chu's palm.

Taking advantage of his momentary daze, she spread her fingers.

They became a pair of intertwined fingers.

That will make things a little better!

"Sister Qin."

Zhou Chu could clearly feel the texture of her hand.

Although she often teases me, this is the first time we've held hands tightly in front of so many people like this.

He instinctively looked around, trying to make sure no one was watching him.

It was obvious that many people were watching them.

And most of them had a sour but helpless look in their eyes.

It was as if they were all questioning him: Why are you holding Gao Qinyi's hand?

He glanced around, but when his gaze returned, he bumped into Gao Qinyi.

It turned out that she was also exploring the surroundings, just like him.

Both of them couldn't help but laugh.

"So, does Sister Qin know anyone?" Zhou Chu asked, leaning close to her ear.

"No!" Gao Qinyi turned her head as well: "Does my Chuchu know anyone like that?"

Their eyes were very close, but neither of them panicked.

After all, if they can overcome the difficulty of holding hands, why would they be afraid of such a simple eye contact?

Gao Qinyi's makeup today was not complicated; it appeared to be just a light layer of lipstick.

It made her complexion look even better, especially her luscious red lips, which were so tempting that it was hard to resist the urge to take a bite.

The rest probably didn't use much makeup... Zhou Chu could only tell that she was wearing lipstick.

"There's a breakfast shop up ahead, their fried dough sticks are super delicious!" Gao Qinyi regained her usual straightforward and cheerful self, pulling him towards the shop ahead.

It's a very simple little restaurant with a slightly faded signboard bearing four large characters: Asahi Breakfast Shop.

The name is quite fitting; it's not even seven o'clock yet, and the light is dim and dim, before the sun has risen.

By the time the sun comes out, they'll probably be sitting in the breakfast shop.

It perfectly matches the words "rising sun" written above.

It was breakfast time, and there were quite a few people eating in the shop, but thankfully it wasn't completely full.

The person who came to greet them was a woman who was about thirty years old.

There was another man over there, scooping out pot after pot of steamed buns.

The person serving must be the proprietress.

Even without makeup, and despite the wrinkles around her eyes from working hard, it's clear she was originally a beauty.

"What would you two like to eat?" The proprietress asked with a smile, recognizing Gao Qinyi. "Did you bring your boyfriends this time?"

"What boyfriend!" Gao Qinyi denied it outright, but she couldn't suppress her smile.

They held hands and never let go.

"What do you want to eat?" Gao Qinyi pushed the menu on the table toward Zhou Chu.

It's just a breakfast stall that you can see everywhere on the streets, and the things they offer aren't anything new or interesting.

“Then let’s do the same as you.” Zhou Chu pushed the menu back to him: “I trust your taste.”

"Alright then." Gao Qinyi looked up and said, "Four fried dough sticks and two bags of soy milk."

"Okay."

“Actually, this kind of life is quite good,” Gao Qinyi said, watching the proprietress leave to serve other guests.

"It's actually quite good." Zhou Chu looked out the floor-to-ceiling window.

Due to the smoke and heat, there was a thin layer of grease on the window.

The gaze travels through the grease, just enough to clearly see the rising sun in the distance.

The sun, full of hope, added warmth to the otherwise pale blue streets.

The interplay of cool and warm colors was reflected in his eyes.

Gao Qinyi was looking into his eyes from the side.

Like sunlight reflecting off the deep sea, it is captivating.

"If only things could stay like this forever." This was a shared thought between the two of them.

"They're here!"

Looking at the fried dough sticks in front of me, still steaming hot, long enough, and fluffy enough.

There's only one question.

With Gao Qinyi holding his right hand like that, how was he supposed to eat?

"Sister Qin, shouldn't we?" Zhou Chu gestured with his eyes to the hand she was holding.

Gao Qinyi then seemed to wake up from a dream, hurriedly letting go of his hand and gently combing the long hair that had fallen down her temples.

There's one thing about this kind of long, loose hair: it's not very flattering.

My hair always seems to fall into my bowl when I'm eating!

And if your long hair gets rubbed by a greasy fried dough stick, you'll probably have to go home and wash it again.

So she decided to first restore her high ponytail.

"Sister Qin, this fried dough stick is really delicious." Zhou Chu took a bite and clearly felt the unique soft yet chewy texture of the fried dough stick.
