Chapter 35 Jiang Rongjun

Jiang Rongjun was sitting in the car.

She looked Jiang Wanyue up and down.

She saw Jiang Wanyue wearing a top that was washed white and frayed, pants with two patches, and cloth shoes. She looked like she had lived a hard life.

A secret sense of pleasure rose in her heart, and she smiled: "It's been many years since we last met, and I almost didn't recognize you. Why are you at the gate of the textile factory? What are you doing?"

"I'm here to do something." Jiang Wanyue took another step closer. "By the way, Rongjun, did your family receive the letter I sent to the provincial capital?"

Jiang Rongjun's smile was a little more sarcastic: "Wanyue, our Jiang family provided you with food and clothing and raised you until you were 18 years old. We have done our best. You are in your twenties now. If you encounter difficulties, you should find ways to solve them yourself instead of writing to our Jiang family for help. However, your husband is dead, and life is indeed a bit difficult. So, I will give you some money to help you through the difficulties. Don't bother your parents with your trivial matters."

She picked up a purse from the side, took out two big unity bills, which was twenty yuan, and handed them out through the car window.

Jiang Wanyue's smile remained unchanged: "Rongjun, you misunderstood. I wrote to express my concern for my parents' health, not because I wanted to get anything."

"Too little?" Jiang Rongjun sneered, "Is fifty enough? Or do you want a hundred?"

She pretended to take the money again.

Jiang Wanyue directly held her hand and said, "Rongjun, I really don't want the money. I can earn it myself. What I want to say is that I don't plan to go back to the city. Don't worry that I will go back to steal your things in the future."

After she finished speaking, she gently patted the back of Jiang Rongjun's hand.

Then he took a step back and waved at the car.

Jiang Rongjun's face was full of disbelief.

Over the past eight years, Jiang Wanyue has been writing letters to her family year after year, and she can feel Jiang Wanyue's obsession to return to the city from the letters.

Now that Jiang Wanyue's husband is dead, shouldn't she want to leave that quagmire even more? Why did she suddenly give up?

Is this a step backward to advance?

Jiang Rongjun looked disdainful.

She is the biological daughter of the Jiang family. As long as she doesn't agree, her parents will never take Jiang Wanyue back to the city.

She said coldly: "Drive."

The driver nodded and drove the car into the textile factory.

"Xiao Jiang..." Tian Youliang couldn't believe it. "You, you know the people in the car?"

Jiang Wanyue nodded without saying anything more.

"Then why didn't you ask her to help? With her as the middleman, it would be easier to sell our fish." Tian Youliang said anxiously, "How about I chase after it and stop the car?"

Jiang Wanyue held her forehead with her hand.

She and Jiang Rongjun knew each other, but their relationship was not good, so it would be strange if Jiang Rongjun would help her.

She signaled to Tian Youliang with her eyes not to worry, then walked towards the guard.

The textile factory guard was a middle-aged man wearing a blue uniform, standing by the iron gate.

"Hello, big brother." Jiang Wanyue took out the note from the brigade, "This is Secretary Tian from our Xiaojing Brigade. I came to your factory to meet the person in charge of your factory's labor union. Could you please pass on the message?"

The security guard had just seen Jiang Wanyue chatting with the person in the car for at least five minutes.

The guard didn't know the person in the car, but that didn't stop him from recognizing the car. It was a car from the provincial textile factory, which meant that the person in the car was an employee of the provincial textile factory. An employee who could ride in a car sent by the factory was at least a cadre.

Anyone who knows the cadres of the provincial textile factory should not be a simple person.

The guard said politely, "Wait a moment, I'll go in and ask."

The union of the textile factory was not far away, and it only took three minutes to walk there. The guard knocked on the door and said, "Director Qian, the secretary of the Xiaojing Brigade wants to discuss something with you."

Director Qian frowned and asked, "Which Xiaojing Brigade? Have you been here before? I don't remember when you made the appointment."

"Director, they really haven't registered." The guard lowered his voice and said, "Didn't our factory have people from the provincial textile factory come to inspect today? I saw with my own eyes that the female comrade from Xiaojing Brigade had a very pleasant chat with the people from the provincial textile factory who came to inspect. They even held hands and chatted together. Their relationship is very special."

Director Qian stood up immediately.

The Provincial Textile Factory was their big brother, who guided them step by step from scratch to become the only factory with a workforce of over a thousand people in the county.

Their factory and the provincial textile factory have a hierarchical relationship, and many people in the factory want to establish good relations with the province so that they have a chance to be transferred to the province.

But few people know anyone from that province.

There were two people who came to inspect this time, one was the technical director, and the other was the director of the provincial office, who was said to be the factory director’s biological daughter.

It would be amazing if I could know this!

Thinking of this, Director Qian hurriedly said, "Quick, invite the person in to the reception room."

The guard nodded, walked quickly to the factory gate, and let Jiang Wanyue and Tian Youliang in.

The two of them went straight into the reception room.

An employee immediately served them both Longjing tea.

This was the first time someone respectfully served me tea after traveling to so many places.

Tian Youliang was flattered. He quickly stood up, politely took the Longjing tea with both hands, and thanked him repeatedly.

At this time, Director Qian also walked in.

Jiang Wanyue and Tian Youliang quickly greeted them.

"You're welcome. Take a seat." Director Qian said with a smile, "This should be Secretary Tian. Who is this?"

Jiang Wanyue introduced herself: "I am a teacher at Xiaojing Brigade Primary School. My last name is Jiang."

"It turned out to be Teacher Jiang." Director Qian took a sip of tea, coughed and said, "I heard from the guard that Teacher Jiang and two comrades from the provincial textile factory who came to inspect the factory talked for a long time at the factory gate?"
