"Did Dorgon ask you to come?" Wu Sangui asked.

"Yes." The Jiannu messenger replied.

"What are you doing here?"

The Jiannu messenger kowtowed and said: "Prince Li was unable to capture Sarhu, and Prince Rui did not dare to hastily start a war with Li Xianzhong, so he ordered me to come to ask for help from you, Lord Wu!"

"Ask for help?" Wu Sangui snorted coldly: "What a joke! I am an official of the Ming Dynasty. How can I blatantly attack the Ming Dynasty's troops?"

The Jiannu messenger kowtowed again and said, "Your Excellency's actions may have attracted the attention of other generals. After this battle, Your Excellency will inevitably be implicated. I hope Your Excellency will think twice!"
