Chapter 18 Excellent Acting
A hint of surprise flashed across Lu Xiaoyun's eyes, and then she uncontrollably curled the corners of her lips, looking somewhat smug.
Such a meaningful house was given to her to live in. She must feel that she is about to destroy me and replace me.

Shen Yixiao spoke this far-fetched explanation with great ease, because he had lied to me many times and I chose to believe him, so he let down his guard.
You can make up any reason, I won't doubt him.
That's how much confidence he has in me.

But is friendship like this too? I treat them like my own brothers, and I have been through so much with them. I don’t need them to treat me as loyally as Shen Yixiao, but they should at least show me some respect, right?
They can turn a blind eye and, out of loyalty, not tell me about Shen Yixiao's cheating, but they should not help Shen Yixiao to cover up his lies and create opportunities for him to cheat.
