Sangshen chuckled softly, "Don't worry, I'll definitely take it to heart." He'll be living here eventually, how could she not care?
Under the lamplight, the boy smiled brightly, the light in his eyes making Bu Ling's heart race. She also smiled, her eyes curving into crescents.
Sangshen patted Bling's head. "One more year."
This time, Bling understood, "Yes, one year!"
The two of them looked at each other with stars in their eyes, surrounded by pink bubbles.
When the light bulb flickered, the two of them snapped out of their daze. Sangshen said, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you."
He was in an exceptionally good mood, which inevitably showed in his tone. Buling, being shameless, replied, "Anything's fine. I bought two fish a few days ago; how about we make fish soup? I can even bring some for Aunt Tian and Congcong tomorrow." Wasn't fish soup supposed to be perfect for patients?
"Okay, then let's make fish head soup, braised fish body, and steamed rice. It's been so long since we've had this." (Sang Shen)
"Okay, you cook, whatever you say." Buling smiled as she looked at the handsome young man who had already been labeled by her.
Sang Shen was overjoyed by these words and willingly took on the role of a stay-at-home husband after marriage—but that's another story.
The two had reached an agreement and were overjoyed. After dinner, Sangshen lingered for a while before returning to her room. Once she closed the door, she was alone in the room.
He was so happy he was jumping for joy. If he weren't worried about ruining his image, he would have shouted a couple of times to express his delight. But it didn't matter; jumping around was fine too.
When he got tired of jumping, he sat in the rocking chair and rocked very fast.
Bling, too, tossed and turned in bed all night, unable to sleep. His mind was filled with the image of Sangshen saying he should do his part. Finally, he managed to fall asleep, a wide smile on his face.
This is the first time in two lifetimes I've ever been in love. The feeling is like a sweet, soft, and slightly itchy lump in my heart.
