If a person disappears without warning, there are only two possibilities: either they are already dead and their body has been disposed of, or they have been kidnapped and their tracks have been cleaned up.
Both reasons sounded ominous, and Bling, squatting beside the mulberry, also frowned and sighed.
With a creak, the door to the small, dilapidated house opened, and Old Man Yu walked out with a calm expression. Seeing Bu Ling, he smiled at her and said, "Girl, you've come to take my pulse, haven't you?"
Seeing the deep sadness in his eyes, Bling opened her mouth as if to offer some words of comfort, but ultimately nodded instead: "Yes, it's been a month now."
Forget it, she hasn't mastered the skill of comforting people yet, so it's best not to offer unsolicited advice. What if it just makes things worse?
"Come in! Young man Sang, come in too."
The two exchanged a glance and followed him into the house.
Inside the house, Old Man Yu, as usual, took Bu Ling's pulse, prescribed medicine, and gave her instructions, showing no sign of sadness whatsoever.
After taking her pulse, Old Man Yu even remembered to give her the newspaper that Bu Ling had asked for: "Go back quickly, don't you still have to go to work?"
Bling looked at the mulberry
The mulberry nodded almost imperceptibly.
Bu Ling then turned and left. As he reached the door, he heard Old Man Yu say again, "Young Sang, you should go back too."
Mulberry: "Uncle-Master, I'll stay here with you."
"No need, let's go back. I want to be alone." Old Yu pulled the mulberry up and pushed it towards the door.
Then he locked the door, looking like he didn't want anyone to keep him company.
Sangshen looked at the tightly closed door, his eyes almost overflowing with worry. Buling took his hand and pried open his tightly clenched fist: "Let's go first, let Grandpa Yu be alone for a while."
Sangshen sensed Buling's approach and suppressed her fierce aura. "Hmm."
The two left the junkyard in silence. Sangshen took Buling to the state-run restaurant and then rode away on his bicycle. He was still unwilling to give up and wanted to contact someone to try and find her again.
Bu Ling sighed and said nothing. Call her cold-blooded if you want, what she was most worried about now was whether Grandpa Yu would become completely despondent. If that happened, what would happen to her health?
Indeed, some people say her heart is like stone, and they're right.
She only thinks of herself first when something happens.
