Sangshen turned around to face Buling: "My brother is the director of the Revolutionary Committee." After saying that, he stared nervously at Buling.
The Revolutionary Committee is notorious these days, and he was afraid that Bu Ling would be scared.
Sang Shen had really underestimated Bu Ling. She was a little surprised, but only surprised that Sang Shen's brother was so amazing: "That's pretty amazing."
Sangshen breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that she didn't find it offensive.
"Do you have any other brothers or sisters?" Bu Ling asked again.
Sangshen nodded. "Yes, I have six older brothers. I'm the seventh one, but apart from the one you met before who is my biological brother, the others are my cousins."
Buling: Calabash Brothers?
Seeing that Buling was interested, Sangshen gave Buling a detailed introduction to her family situation.
“I have quite a lot of family members. There’s my grandfather, my uncles and aunts, my other uncles and aunts, and my aunt’s younger sister. Then there are my six older brothers. They’re all very easy to get along with. Besides them, the rest are distant relatives, so you don’t need to worry about them,” Sangshen said.
Breen exclaimed, "What a big family!" But then she asked, "What about your parents? Are they easy to get along with?"
Mulberry shook her head: "My parents died when I was very young."
Seeing that Sangshen looked like he had been spoiled, Buling really didn't expect that he had lost both his parents: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up your sad things."
"It's okay, I'm used to it." Sangshen was indifferent. His parents died shortly after he was born, so he had no memory of them, let alone any feelings for them.
Buling held Sangshen's hand and intertwined their fingers. "I'll take care of you from now on."
Taking the opportunity, Sangshen rested her head on Bling's shoulder: "Yes, with you, and you with me!"
Bling touched his cheek in agreement.
After a long pause, Sangshen asked, "What about you? Are your family members easy to get along with? I hope they're all as difficult as your brother-in-law."
“It’s just my brother and me in my family, no one else. My dad died a long time ago. As for my mom, she’s in the Northwest, I don’t even know if she’s still alive. Oh, and I have a half-brother.” (Bu Ling)
Sangshen straightened up and looked at Buling.
Bling sighed and explained the whole story to him.
“My brother and I are half-brothers. My dad saved my mom during a mission and then got married because of her. We had me soon after. However, my happiness was short-lived. When I was five years old, my dad died, followed by my grandma. My brother went to university, leaving only my mom and me at home.”
“My mother is extremely selfish and favors sons over daughters. She remarried quickly, and I was taken to my stepfather’s house, where I lived for eleven years.”
Sangshen hugged Buling with heartache: "It's all in the past." He didn't know what the little black girl had gone through before, but just by looking at her physical condition, he knew that she hadn't had a good life all these years.
Bling wasn't so sad: "It's okay, I stopped caring a long time ago. Besides, I've already avenged myself."
The two had gained a basic understanding of each other's families; the rest would have to wait until they met in person.
It was getting late, so Sangshen stayed for a while and then went back, but she didn't forget to give herself a goodnight kiss before leaving.
Buling was both amused and exasperated. She realized that boys really were gifted at this kind of thing. Just a few days ago, Sangshen would blush, but now she could act like a hooligan without batting an eye.
After they officially confirmed their relationship, their interactions were no different from before, except that Sangshen, who used to cook for her every few days, now cooks every single meal, showcasing his excellent culinary skills in various ways.
Bling reasonably suspects that the mulberry is displaying its plumage, and he has evidence to support this.
For the past few days, it had been raining incessantly, on and off, making people feel irritable. That noon, Buling ate his noodles bite by bite, seemingly without any interest.
Sangshen sat opposite her and, seeing her like this, asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
Buling pouted. "It's a bit stuffy. How long is this rain going to stop?" Their state-run restaurant was closed because of the rain, but other factories weren't.
The once bustling courtyard house was now deserted. Everyone was huddled inside, and it was very quiet. In addition, Sangshen had been very busy lately, and she was rarely seen except during mealtimes. Buling stayed in her room all day and was on the verge of developing depression.
What I mean is, the first day was blissful lying in the house doing nothing, and the second and third days were the same. But after that, it got a bit stifling. The most important thing is that I don't even have a cell phone now, and my eyes get tired from reading novels all the time.
There's nothing Sangs can do about the rain: "How about you go to Wu Yuanyuan's place this afternoon?"
Bu Ling still looked uninterested: "Not interested." Wu Yuanyuan was either sewing shoe soles or doing housework at home these days, so she felt quite uncomfortable going there.
Sangshen was at a loss; with such heavy rain, going out for a stroll was out of the question.
"Speaking of which, with this rain lasting for so many days, I wonder if Old Man Yu's little shabby house can hold up?" Bu Ling said with some concern.
Sang Shen was very carefree: "Don't worry, everything will be fine. My brother is keeping an eye on Old Man Yu, he won't get into any trouble."
Bu Ling nodded. She had a deep impression of Sang Shen's brother; he was clearly a shrewd person. "Oh, by the way, has Old Man Yu's youngest son been found?"
Speaking of this, Sangshen's mood also dropped: "No, Yu Banxia seems to have vanished into thin air. It's been more than half a year, and there's not a single word about her."
They had actually prepared for the worst, but they still wanted to try. After all, it was a human life, and they couldn't give up so easily.
Bling sighed and didn't offer any advice.
