Chapter 16 The County Town is Full of Flowers

Liang Boda shook his head. He and Bu Yi were transferred together. Bu Yi didn't know, so how could he possibly know? This was his first time visiting the county town.

"I'll go ask the sales clerk," Liang Boda said, walking towards the movie ticket window.

A short while later, he returned and said, "The tailor shop is at the end of the street to the left of the state-run restaurant."

Knowing the location, the three of them got into the car without hesitation, and Bu Yi started the car and drove towards the tailor shop.

Upon arriving at the tailor shop, Bu Yi parked the car, opened the door and got out. He then opened the door for Bu Ling and helped her out. Liang Boda also got out of the car by himself, and the three of them went into the tailor shop.

The tailor shop's employee was a kind, gentle old lady. When she saw the three people walk in, her eyes narrowed with a smile.

"Hello, comrade, are you here to have clothes made?" the old lady asked.

Bu Yi pushed Bu Ling forward, "Make it for her."

The old lady looked Bling up and down. "No problem. Are you choosing your fabric from us, or will you bring your own?"

“We brought our own,” Bu Ling replied, then said to Bu Yi behind her, “Brother, go and get our fabric.”

Upon hearing Bu Ling's words, Bu Yi turned around and left the tailor shop. He took the fabric that Bu Ling had bought from the back seat of the car, went back into the tailor shop, and handed the fabric to the old lady.

The old lady took the fabric, felt it; it was cotton. She unfolded it to check its size, estimating it to be about ten feet. She rolled the fabric up again and looked at Buling: "Little girl, are you planning to make a dress? This color would look very nice for a dress."

Buling thought so too, "Grandma, if we make a dress, can we make something else?" If we can only make one dress, then forget it.

The old lady chuckled and said, "Yes, of course you can. The girl is so thin; after the dress is made, there will still be more than half left."

Buling pondered for a moment and said, "Grandma, can I make a dress, two short-sleeved shirts, and two long-sleeved shirts?" She really didn't know much about this kind of thing.

The old lady nodded, "We can make them all, and there will even be some left over. Little girl, are you only making tops? Not pants?"

Bling glanced at the black and white striped fabric and decisively refused. "Grandma, give me the rest to make underwear!" she whispered in the old lady's ear.

The old lady nodded knowingly, and then began to calculate: "The labor cost for a dress is two yuan and two jiao, the labor cost for a short-sleeved shirt is six mao, and the labor cost for a long-sleeved shirt is eight mao. The total cost for these clothes for the little girl is five yuan. The rest were all gifts from my wife."

The old lady quickly prepared the receipt, and after Bu Yi handed her the money, she handed the receipt to Bu Ling.

Bu Yi and Liang Boda only made their presence felt when it came to paying; otherwise, the old lady would only hand the receipts to Bu Ling if Bu Ling was in charge.

After the money and tickets were settled, the old lady took Buling's measurements and wrote them down, saying, "Come pick up the clothes in half a month." Her old eyesight was failing, so she couldn't work that quickly.

Bling politely thanked them, and the three of them left the tailor shop.

Bu Yi raised his hand to look at his watch. "It's almost five o'clock. Let's go back." After saying that, he looked at Bu Ling.

Bling nodded, "I'll do whatever my brother says."

As for Liang Boda, his opinion is not important.
