Chapter 168 Fever

Inside the house, Bling, who was sipping her porridge, slowly narrowed her eyes upon hearing this: "What did you say?"

Sangshen didn't notice Bling's expression. She rushed to Bling's side, touching her face and taking her pulse.

“I’m fine now, sit down and talk.” Bling pulled Sangshen down to sit.

After taking her pulse, Sangshen breathed a sigh of relief and obediently sat down. "Why did you suddenly develop a fever?"

Buling served him a bowl of porridge: "Have you eaten? Have some porridge with me."

Sangshen took the porridge from her and placed it on the table, staring intently at Buling.

Bling sighed, "It's nothing serious. I just washed my hair last night and it snowed and got cold, so it was just a minor cold. I'm fine now."

After saying that, she asked Sangshen, "How are you? Does your head still hurt?"

Sangshen shook her head: "I'm fine. Are you really not feeling bad anymore?"

"Of course! Do you think I'm the kind of person who puts on a brave face?" Bu Ling gave him a reproachful look: "Hurry up and drink your porridge, it's going to get cold."

Mulberry was already hungry, and now that Buling said that, she didn't stand on ceremony and picked up the bowl to drink the porridge in big gulps.

"By the way, how did you know I was sick?" (Bling)

While sipping her porridge, Sangshen mumbled, "I heard it from Wu Yuanyuan."

"Did you go to a state-run restaurant today?"

Mulberry nodded. "Is there any more porridge?"

“Yes, it’s in the pot,” Bling pointed to the stove.

Sang Shen filled another bowl: "This noon, Xie Dong, my brother, and I went to a restaurant for lunch and ran into Wu Yuanyuan. She said you had a fever."

"So you came back without even eating?" Buling

"I don't care, I'm so worried." Sangshen drank the porridge in big gulps without any regard for appearances.

Bling didn't find him sloppy at all; on the contrary, she found the mulberries even more appealing.

"Want some more?"

Mulberry shook her head: "There's nothing left in the pot. I'll make something else. Is there anything you'd like to eat?"

"I'm full." Bu Ling had just recovered from her fever and didn't have much of an appetite.

Sangshen didn't insist. She scooped out half a bowl of cornmeal from the grain jar. Seeing this, Buling reminded her, "There's still wheat flour in the cupboard. Mix some in."

"OK."
