Chapter 175 The child is still not found

It wasn't until March that Bu Ling finally met Bu Yi and Liang Boda. She was slacking off at the restaurant when she heard the door open.

He said emotionlessly, "Sorry, the food is sold out. Please come again tonight."

"Sister, can't we make an exception?" Liang Boda's smiling voice rang out.

Blingho looked up and saw two familiar figures. His face immediately broke into a big smile: "Brother, Brother Liang!"

She hurriedly came out from behind the counter and walked up to the two of them. "Are you done?"

Bu Yi patted his sister's head: "That's about right, we won't be needed anymore."

"Little sister, have you missed us?" Liang Boda asked cheekily.

Bu Ling rolled her eyes at him: "Didn't expect it!"

Liang Boda wasn't annoyed: "I don't believe it!"

Bu Ling was speechless. Why hadn't this guy gotten beaten up yet? Are people all this good-tempered these days?

Perhaps Bu Ling's speechless expression was too obvious, Bu Yi nudged Liang Boda to shut him up, "Little sister, can you ask for leave? How about the three of us have a reunion dinner? Make up for the New Year's dinner?"

Bu Ling immediately replied, "Yes, of course I can. I'll go ask for leave right away."

Before he finished speaking, Bu Ling knocked on the door of Manager Zhu's office. After hearing Bu Ling's reason, Manager Zhu was not unwilling at all and readily agreed: "Go ahead, let Xiao Wu take your place, so it won't count as taking leave."

"Thank you, Manager Zhu!" Bu Ling could sense Manager Zhu's kindness.

He was completely different from the person in her dream; she said that novel was nonsense.

Manager Zhu watched Bu Ling's departing figure with a smile. Once he was alone in the office, his eyes dimmed, as if he were thinking of something.

After a long silence, a soft sigh escaped: "I wonder when I'll be able to have a family reunion dinner again?"

Bu Ling walked happily between Bu Yi and Liang Boda, just like the day the three of them first visited the county town.

"Little sister, do you have any meat? Should we go buy some?" Liang Boda was in a good mood.

“Yes, I have meat, fish, and some mutton.” Buling counted on her fingers: “I also have a chicken and two rabbits. These are all New Year’s goods that I prepared before the New Year, and I still have quite a few left.”

Looking at Bu Ling's joyful expression, Bu Yi felt very guilty. He suddenly remembered what Sang Shen and his aunt had said before, and realized that he had indeed spent very little time with his sister.

I hope that Sangshen can stay by my sister's side from now on, so that she won't be alone anymore. "Lingling, should we invite Sangshen to come along?"

Before Bu Ling could even react, Liang Boda jumped up and down: "Old Bu, do you have a fever?" As he spoke, he reached out to touch Bu Yi's forehead.

Bu Yi slapped his hand away, glared at him, and then looked at Bu Ling.

Bu Ling glanced at Bu Yi cautiously, and seeing that he didn't seem reluctant, said, "Then let's listen to our brother and bring Sang Shen along so he can cook."

Liang Boda: "Hey, hey, hey, my sister isn't married to him yet."

Bu Yi ignored Liang Boda's outburst: "Old Liang, go find someone at the government building. If you can't find them, go directly to Director Sang."

Liang Boda: ....

"I'm not going."

Receiving a look from Bu Yi, he immediately backed down: "Okay~ I'll go then." His expression was quite aggrieved.

"Then thank you, Brother Liang~" Bu Ling said with a smile.

Liang Boda felt like a little cabbage in the field, pitiful and aggrieved.

The three split into two groups. Bu Yi and his sister went back to the courtyard first to prepare ingredients, while Liang Boda reluctantly went to find mulberries.

As evening fell, a strong fragrance wafted from Buling's house. Just as the children in the courtyard were getting out of school, they smelled the aroma and their eyes lit up with longing.

However, after glancing at Brilliant's tightly closed door, the children all looked away in unison. They decided to skip Brilliant's house.

Even the most stubborn Jiang Shitou and Wang Aiguo held back their saliva, pretending they didn't smell it.

Inside the room, Bu Lingbu, Liang Boda, and Sang Shen sat in pairs around the table. The steam rising from the table softened their features, making their smiles appear somewhat artificial.

Sangshen was really happy today. He wasn't stupid, so of course he understood what this meal meant. "Brother, Brother Liang, Lingling, I'd like to offer you tea instead of wine to wish you peace and safety year after year."

Bu Yi and Liang Boda respectfully raised their teacups, which contained the finest tea leaves that Sang Shen had obtained from his brother—the kind that was specially supplied.

Midway through the meal, Bu Ling, having eaten about half full, put down her chopsticks and looked at the three men chatting and laughing, feeling an unprecedented sense of satisfaction.

"Hey? Bro, you found the kids?"

As soon as Bu Ling finished speaking, the three men who had been laughing and joking stopped laughing. "What's wrong? Is it something I can't say?"

Sangshen put down his chopsticks, took a sip of tea, and carefully considered his words: "I can't say." Seeing Buling's disappointed expression, he quickly added: "But I can tell you, as long as you don't tell anyone else."

"Really?" Bu Ling looked at Bu Yi and Liang Boda again.

The two exchanged a glance, somewhat helpless, but faced with their sister's expectant eyes, they couldn't bring themselves to refuse. After a long while, Liang Boda was the first to react.

Bu Ling saw him sway twice, then rub his forehead and say, "Oh dear, I think I'm a little drunk." Then, he collapsed onto the table with a thud.

Buyi: ...

Seeing his sister's gaze fall on him, he swayed a couple of times and muttered softly, "Don't tell anyone." Then, imitating Liang Boda, he lay down on the table and didn't move.

Buling looked at the mulberry with a smile.

Sangshen's lips twitched. "They did catch the human traffickers, but not all of them."

"What do you mean?"

Sangshen said in a low voice, "This time, we only caught some peripheral people by following the clues. We haven't caught the key people yet, so the whereabouts of those forty-odd children are still unknown."
