“That makes sense,” Bling agreed.
Sangshen continued to chatter: "Let me tell you, everyone in our compound is annoyed by their family. You should be careful of them in the future, especially Shen Qingyun's mother. That woman is vicious."
Bling nodded, indicating that he understood, but asked, "What does that woman look like?"
“I’ll point it out to you when we meet,” said Mulberry.
The two strolled around the compound, getting a general idea of its basic facilities, and then went back.
"Xiao Qi, granddaughter-in-law, you're back?" Grandpa Sang sat in his chair, his eyes crinkling with laughter as he looked at the two of them enter.
"Grandpa!" Mulberry Buling
"Oh, my dear." Grandpa Sang couldn't stop smiling. "Granddaughter-in-law, when you have some free time, have Xiao Qi take you around the yard more often so you can get to know everyone. That way, you'll have face when you meet them in the future."
"I will, Grandpa," Sangshen readily agreed.
Until dinner time, the two of them stayed downstairs talking with the old man, who was a soldier and had experienced countless battles.
He saw that the two young men were interested and talked about the past in great detail, and Bu Ling listened with great interest.
All she knew before was from history books or movies and TV series, but those were all artistic embellishments. This was the first time she had heard that history from someone who had experienced it firsthand.
