Chapter 187 We need to be more restrained (shuhaige.net)

In the evening, Bu Ling still hitched a ride with Wu Yuanyuan on her bicycle home from work.

After leaving the restaurant, Wu Yuanyuan asked, "Ling, shall we go check out the grocery store?"

"Sure, I'm pretty much out of food anyway."

When they arrived at the food station, the staff had almost finished get off work, so naturally there wasn't much left.

There was only a bunch of green beans and a few eggplants on the counter, but they looked a bit wilted. Bu Ling immediately lost interest and looked at Wu Yuanyuan.

Wu Yuanyuan sighed. There was nothing she could do about it, so she stepped forward and bought everything.

On the way back, she was still muttering to herself, "Why is it so hard to get a dish? Ling, is your cousin coming again? Can she bring us some vegetables?"

“I won’t be coming recently. My cousin said that the checks in the countryside are very strict lately. Even leaving the village, you get questioned for ages. It’s a real hassle. She’ll come to see me again after this period is over,” Bu Ling explained.

Wu Yuanyuan could understand, "That's true."

Bling didn't say anything more.

The two returned to the compound in silence. Wu Yuanyuan put Buling down in the front yard and then walked to the back yard with the wilted vegetables she had bought.

When Buling saw that her door was ajar, she knew that Sangzhen had returned. She quickly stepped up the stairs and pushed open the door: "Where...Sangzhen?"

Hearing the noise, Xie Dong, who was sitting inside, turned around: "Sister-in-law, are you off work? Xiao Qi went to the restroom."

Bu Ling nodded, went into the house, put down her bag, poured herself a glass of water, and poured one for Xie Dong as well.

Xie Dong accepted it, somewhat flattered: "Thank you, sister-in-law."

This was the first time he had ever drunk water from Sang Xiaoqi's house. He put it to his lips, took a sip, and mmm~ it was sweet!

Bu Ling took a couple of sips of water and sat down opposite Xie Dong.

Just then, Sangshen returned from outside, shaking his still dripping hands. "Lingling, you're back?"

As he spoke, he sat down next to Bu Ling, downed the water in Bu Ling's glass in one gulp, and then looked at Xie Dong across from him: "Why haven't you left yet?"

Xie Dong: !!!

He laughed in exasperation: "Sang Xiaoqi, you can't do this! You've already crossed the river and then you've already destroyed the bridge. That's going too far!"

Sangshen was not ashamed: "Why bother with the bridge when we've already crossed the river?" He raised his eyebrows, looking like a rogue.

Xie Dong was already used to Sang Xiaoqi's shamelessness, so he ignored him and turned to Bu Ling, saying, "Sister-in-law, can I mooch a meal here tonight?"

Sang Shen flatly refused: "No way!" He and Xiao Hei Niu hadn't had enough of their time together yet, how could he have another third wheel?

Xie Dong ignored Sang Shen's words and only looked at Bu Ling.

Bu Ling glanced at the bulging sack on the ground and, still having some conscience, said, "Of course, of course. What would you like to eat, Brother Xie? I'll have Sangs make it for you."

Sangshen was unwilling to retort, but was secretly pinched by Buling and shut up.

Xie Dong was quite satisfied to see Sang Shen's frustrated expression. "I'm fine with anything, I'm not picky." As long as it's made by Sang Xiaoqi.

Seeing this, Bu Ling nudged Sang Shen: "It's getting late, go cook some food, do you want me to help you?"

Sang Shen glared at Xie Dong. "No need, just have him help me."

Buling looked at Xie Dong questioningly, and Xie Dong nodded: "Sister-in-law, go and rest. I'll help him."

Buling didn't stand on ceremony with him. She stood up, sat on the recliner, and watched the two of them busy themselves. Her room was rather small, and it felt quite cramped for two grown men to move around inside.

So it's inevitable that you'll touch me and I'll step on you; a meal can feel like a battle between the two of us.

Bu Ling wasn't surprised at all. There's a saying that goes, "A man is a boy until he dies!"

Two hours had passed by the time the dishes were served. Although Sang Shen was impatient with Xie Dong, she had prepared a very lavish meal.

Braised pork belly, stir-fried shredded potatoes with vinegar, stir-fried eggplant, potatoes, and green peppers, tomato and egg soup – three dishes and a soup, quite a generous spread, even though all the ingredients came from Xie Dong.

Xie Dong thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and even being asked to wash the dishes afterwards didn't dampen his spirits.

As darkness fell, Sangshen saw Xie Dong off. Before leaving, Xie Dong said, "Xiao Qi, this is the first time I've properly eaten your cooking. You always used to refuse, but it seems I can't refuse anymore. I'll have to come visit more often."

Mulberry showed no mercy: "Don't even think about it!"

Xie Dong ignored him and continued talking to himself: "I wonder if the bookworm will have the luck to eat this. I'll write to him another day and ask if he can ask for leave."

Mulberry: "Hey! Xie Dong!"

Xie Dong ignored him, quickened his pace, and soon disappeared into the alley.

Sangshen gritted her teeth, already foreseeing her fate of becoming this group's cook. It was all Xie Dong's fault! He was so shameless!

He turned around angrily and went back to the courtyard. When he entered the house, he saw Bling sitting on a deck chair wearing a bright red tank top.

Seeing Sangshen return, Buling beckoned to him with her finger, "Remember to lock the door~"

Sangshen instantly forgot his anger, quickly locked the door, and walked towards the beauty.

So, that night, little Chen Cong had another dream. When he woke up the next day, he was puzzled. Could it be that he really disliked Sister Buling? Otherwise, why would he keep dreaming about her crying?

This realization made the child lose interest for several days in a row.

Back to Buling, the next day she was once again pampered by Sangshen and placed on the back of Wu Yuanyuan's bicycle.

As the two were leaving, they ran into Grandma Zheng coming in.

"Grandma Zheng, did you go to the toilet?" Bu Ling

Wu Yuanyuan also greeted her, "Grandma Zheng."

Grandma Zheng is getting old and her hearing isn't very good, so you have to shout to talk to her.
