Chapter 205 Trivial Daily Life

When I returned home in the evening, the yard was very quiet, and even Aunt Lan, who usually did the laundry, was nowhere to be seen.

Buling was a little curious, but not much. When she got home, she first cooked a pot of mung bean soup, and then sat at the door picking green beans.

Sangshen said she would make braised noodles with green beans when she got back tonight, so she cleaned the green beans in advance so that it would be easier for Sangshen when she got back.

Although she herself isn't a great cook and Sangshen usually does the cooking at home, Buling doesn't just sit back and do whatever she can. After all, it's good for both husband and wife to contribute.

After she finished picking the green beans, she waited a while, and then Sang Shen returned. However, he didn't come back by himself; he was followed by a long line of people.

Looking at the familiar group of people, Bu Ling was full of questions: "Mulberry, who's this?"

Before Sangshen could answer, Aunt Lan behind him spoke up first: "Little Bu, you've missed out on so much today!"

Buling asked cooperatively, "What's wrong, Aunt Lan? Tell me quickly!"

Aunt Lan desperately needed someone to vent her emotions to, so she pushed past the mulberry tree, walked up to Bu Ling, and said excitedly, "Little Han from our backyard, his wound has reopened!" As she spoke, she winked at Bu Ling, knowing that Little Han and those two didn't get along.

"Huh? Really? What happened?" Just as Aunt Lan had expected, Bu Ling became excited.

Unexpectedly, Aunt Lan shook her head: "I don't know about that. I only know that when I saw him, he had already fainted from the pain."

Bu Ling glanced at her speechlessly. She thought that Aunt Lan could bring her some earth-shattering gossip, but it turned out to be just a melon rind!

Aunt Lan was a little indignant at Bu Ling's gaze: "How can you blame this old woman?"

Bling quickly smoothed things over, saying, "No, no, I was just curious for a moment~"

While the two were talking, the group of people who had returned with the mulberry tree silently walked towards the backyard.

After they had gone some distance, Aunt Lan whispered, "Those people are from Xiao Han's family. The fact that Xiao Han's wound reopened must be related to them."

Buling glanced back; there were about seven or eight people in that group. "So they've settled in now?"

Aunt Lan pursed her lips: "Of course."

"Where are Ling Wei and the two kids from the Han family? I haven't seen them." Bu Ling noticed something was wrong again.

"They're taking care of Xiao Han at the hospital!" Aunt Lan said nonchalantly, but her expression quickly turned strange: "That girl Jiang Hua stayed too."

Bling: ? ? ?

"Jiang Hua stayed? Ling Wei was willing? Aunt Shen was willing?" Bu Ling felt she had made a huge mistake!

"I don't know, but they were all smiling and seemed to have a very good relationship," said Aunt Lan.

Finally, Bu Ling returned to the room in a daze. How should I put it? She didn't believe that Ling Wei couldn't see through Jiang Hua's intentions. They were both people who had been through the trials of modern society, so their ability to spot a manipulative woman was beyond question.

But Ling Wei is just letting people stay so happily now, who knows what she's up to?

However, speaking of Jiang Hua, Bu Ling is almost driven crazy by her. She's only been back for a few days and she's still causing trouble.

They're scheming against her here, yet they can still fawn over Han Weiguo there. I really underestimated her.

"Sangshen, have you informed Jiang Hua's boyfriend and mother-in-law?" Bu Ling suddenly looked up and asked.

Sangshen wiped the sweat from her forehead: "The notification has arrived. Don't worry, let's calculate the time; it'll be a few more days before it arrives."

Bu Ling nodded: "Hopefully they can pull some strings and get Jiang Hua out of here."

"Don't worry, I'm here. She won't succeed." Sangshen said this with great certainty.

Seeing the determination in Sangshen's eyes, Buling smiled, stood up, and wiped his sweat: "I'm not scared, I'm just annoyed. This guy never stops for a day."

"She won't be able to keep jumping around for long," Sangshen said, scooping the braised noodles out of the pot and setting them aside.

At the same time, Buling ladled out the mung bean soup. "I'm really looking forward to that day." She placed the mung bean soup on the table: "Okay, let's eat."

Mulberry: "Okay." He washed his face first before sitting down at the table.

Under the lamplight, the two chatted and laughed as they ate, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

After finishing their meal, the two of them took their stools outside to cool off in the courtyard and listen to gossip. Although they were talking about things they had heard before, it was interesting to hear them from different people.

That evening, after his usual nighttime exercise, Bu Ling lay listlessly on the kang (a heated brick bed), when suddenly he remembered something: "Hey? Sang Shen, about what happened a couple of days ago, did Big Brother find out anything?"

Sangshen brushed the strands of hair stuck to Bling's face. "Not for now."

Buling turned to look at him: "Didn't find anything or have any clues?" Given her brother-in-law's shrewdness, this shouldn't be the case.

Mulberry stroked her smooth back: "We found some clues, but all the leads have gone cold."

"So you mean we're still clueless?" Bling rolled over, facing the mulberry.

Sang Shen: "I guess so. My brother said this matter is quite serious and told me not to get involved, so he won't tell me anything now." He said this with a hint of resentment.

"Brother is only doing this for your own good," Bu Ling said dryly.

Seeing the blush on Bu Ling's face, Sang Shen was somewhat tempted, but remembering what the doctor had said earlier, she quickly recited a calming mantra in her mind: "I know, but I'm a little worried about my brother."

"Besides, even if you knew, you couldn't help." Bu Ling couldn't help but speak the truth. Sang Shen was just a junior staff member. What help could she possibly be?

Mulberry: ...

That's heartbreaking!

He gritted his teeth: "Go to sleep! Go to sleep now!" Otherwise he'd turn into a beast.

Having lived together for so long, Buling clearly knew Sangshen very well. Just by looking at his expression, she knew what he was up to, and obediently closed her eyes: "Goodnight!"

Sangshen chuckled but didn't answer, though she hugged her tighter.

For the next few days, Han Weiguo's family members did not return home. They claimed to be taking care of Han Weiguo, but they did nothing but eat, sleep, or wander around aimlessly.

The whole compound was filled with complaints, but when people thought of Han Weiguo and the place where he was injured, they couldn't help but feel some sympathy and turned a blind eye.

However, while the neighbors in the courtyard only had some complaints, Ling Wei was completely devastated. She not only had to go to work, but also take care of Han Weiguo and her two sons. When she got home, she had to face her unreasonable mother-in-law and her difficult sisters-in-law.

In just a few days, she aged more than a year. She was now completely different from the ambitious college student she had just transmigrated from. Not only were her hands rough, but wrinkles had also appeared on her face, and the light in her eyes had completely disappeared. She had become someone burdened by life.

Bu Ling also noticed Ling Wei's changes. She watched the Han family in the backyard make trouble for Ling Wei day after day, which made her very happy, saving her the trouble of doing it herself.
