Chapter 211 Admonition

Sang Zi was not surprised that Bu Ling could guess. He took off his glasses, wiped them, and put them back on, concealing the coldness in his eyes: "Yes!" Then he said nothing more.

Bling: ....

She gave Sangshen a wink, and Sangshen, understanding the signal, asked cooperatively, "Brother, what's going on?"

Seeing the interaction between the two, Sang Zi's coldness melted away, and her smile returned. "That matter before was quite serious, and it's also related to what my uncle is investigating, so Kyoto will send people over."

"Is it also related to your uncle's side?" Sangzhen sat down next to Buling, her brows furrowed tightly.

Sang Zi nodded: "Yes, I can't go into more detail, but just know that this is a big deal."

Bu Ling glanced at Sang Zi's still gentle expression and asked, "Big brother, is Uncle's matter still unresolved?"

Sang Zi nodded and then shook her head: "It's over, but it has also brought up an even bigger issue."

Sangshen then asked, "Will Lingling be in danger?"

"No!" Sang Zi leaned back on the sofa, her voice firm.

Sangshen trusted her brother completely. Hearing his brother's certainty, she didn't ask any more questions: "That's fine then." As long as it didn't involve them and their families, she didn't care what else happened.

Sang Zi had known her younger brother's personality for a long time, so she wasn't surprised at all, but she still said, "Don't worry, I'm here!"

Mulberry nodded naturally.

At this moment, Buling suddenly thought of something and asked, "Big brother, can I tell my two older brothers about this?"

Since they came from Kyoto, this matter was no small thing. She was afraid that Buyi and Liang Boda would be implicated. Although the army was generally not in chaos, she dared not gamble with her own family.

A glint flashed in Sangzi's eyes behind her glasses, and she smiled, saying, "Don't worry, sister-in-law. Your two older brothers probably know more about this than I do."

Buling was genuinely surprised. Her first reaction was worry, and she wanted to ask something, but in the end she didn't ask and only said, "I understand, brother."

What could she ask? Was it dangerous? That's obvious! Was it possible to stay out of it? That's also obvious! So she simply stopped asking.

When the meal was ready, Buling put aside her worries and enjoyed a meal with the two of them, chatting and laughing.

After dinner, on the way home, Buling said to Sangshen, "I'll take a day off tomorrow and go back to the military compound."

Sangshen knew why she was going back. "Do you want me to go with you?"

Buling refused: "It's better not to. The situation isn't right now, and your brother has a lot of people watching him. You should keep a low profile."

Sangshen thought about it and felt that what Buling said made sense: "Okay, I'll pick you up tomorrow night."

"good!"

The next morning, Bu Ling boarded the bus that passed by the military family compound.

When she returned to the family compound and opened the door with her key, unsurprisingly, neither Bu Yi nor Liang Boda were there.

She went into the house and closed the door. Seeing a thin layer of dust on the table, she knew that the two of them hadn't been back for a while.

She sighed and went to the kitchen. Sure enough, there was nothing inside except rice, noodles, and seasonings. She took out a handful of dried noodles from her spatial storage, cooked herself a bowl of noodles, and added two eggs to finish her lunch.

She then sat in the living room until it got dark and Sangshen came to pick her up, but Bu Yi and the other person did not return.

"Lingling, isn't your brother-in-law here?" Sangshen asked, looking at the deserted room.

Bling nodded: "He's not here, and he probably hasn't been back for a long time."

Sangshen sat down next to Buling and put her arm around her shoulder: "Don't worry."

Bling turned to look at him. "What are you thinking about? When I said I wasn't coming back, I meant I was staying at the military camp. I was just thinking about who to ask to pass on a message to them."

Sangshen misinterpreted the situation, awkwardly touching her nose, and suggested, "Why don't you leave them a note?"

Buling looked at him like he was an idiot: "Are you alright? They're not coming back, so how are we supposed to find the note? Besides, leaving a note isn't safe. We should just have someone pass on a message. It's best to talk about these things face to face."

Mulberry ground its teeth and fell silent.

Bu Ling continued, "I'm going to Aunt Cao's house to ask her son to pass on a message. Will you come with me?"

Sangshen nodded hurriedly.

"Let's go then!"

The two went downstairs to Aunt Cao's house and told her their request. Aunt Cao readily agreed, and Bu Ling repeatedly told them that it was nothing urgent and they didn't need to rush.

After explaining everything and giving two pieces of candy to Aunt Cao's annoying grandson, Bu Ling took her leave. "Sang Shen, shall we stay here tonight? How did you get here?"

“I came by bus. If you want to stay, just stay one night. We can go back tomorrow morning anyway.” Sangshen was very easy to talk to.

"You're the best~" Bu Ling said sweetly.

Mulberry's lips curled up...

It wasn't until the evening of the fifth day, when Bu Ling was about to leave work, that Bu Yi and Liang Boda appeared together at the state-run restaurant.

"younger sister!"

"Lingling!"

Upon hearing those two familiar voices, Bu Ling immediately abandoned her dear friend Wu Yuanyuan and ran towards the two figures in military green: "Brother! Brother Liang!"

Bu Yi hurried two steps to Bu Ling's side: "Ling Ling."

Liang Boda followed closely behind: "Little sister, what's wrong? Did someone bully you?"

Bu Ling shook his head: "Brother, let's go to my house for dinner? Let Sang Shen cook, he's a good cook."

Looking at his excited younger sister, Buyi said apologetically, "No, little sister, we have to get back to the team later!"
