Bling remained unmoved.
"Hey, you brat, I'm talking to you..." the old woman said, reaching out to pull at Buling.
Bling opened her eyes quickly and slapped her arm with her backhand: "There's a thief! Come quick, catch the thief!"
This loud shout startled the entire waiting room.
"Thief, where are you?"
"He dares to steal, I'll beat him to a pulp!"
Bling, always eager for drama, exclaimed, "Here she is! Here she is! This old lady tried to steal my things, thank goodness I wasn't asleep!"
The old woman was stunned. Seeing the unfriendly looks from the people around her, she shouted, "I'm not! I'm not a thief! This bitch is framing me!"
Before the onlookers could ask any questions, Buling preemptively asked, "Then why did you reach for my wallet?" As she spoke, she pulled out a wallet from her pocket, which she had just transferred out of her spatial dimension.
The moment they saw the wallet, the onlookers completely believed what Bu Ling had said.
"Well, you old hag, you're a thief!"
"Everyone, quickly check if anything is missing!"
The old woman was completely bewildered by this turn of events, and could only keep explaining, "I'm not a thief! I just wanted to pat that brat! I'm not!"
At that opportune moment, Bu Ling shouted loudly, "I don't know you, why are you taking pictures of me!"
"That old woman is just making excuses!"
"Stop the thief! Take him to the police station!"
These days, everyone has zero tolerance for thieves. Nobody's family is rich, and what you're stealing is someone else's hard-earned money.
Soon, the righteous people in the waiting room took the old woman to the police station.
As for Bu Ling, he shrugged, keeping his merits hidden. Arguing with this old lady was a waste of time. This was much better; he could teach her a lesson and also have some peace and quiet!
The procession escorting the old lady brushed past Sangshen, who glanced at her curiously.
"Lingling, what about those people just now?"
Bling stood up, carrying his suitcase. "Oh, I just caught a thief. It's nothing! Did you get the tickets?"
Sangshen exclaimed in surprise, "At such an old age, you're still out here stealing? If you buy it, the train leaves in two hours, so we can rest here for a while."
Bling nodded, handed the suitcase to Sangshen, and sat down again: "Then let's sit in the waiting room for a while longer."
Sangshen: "Okay." Then she sat down next to her and asked about the thief earlier.
Bling beckoned to him with her finger, signaling him to come closer, and then recounted what had just happened.
After hearing this, Sang Shen was incredibly impressed and gave Bu Ling a thumbs up: "Amazing!"
Bling slapped him: "Stop joking! It's your turn to explain!"
Sangshen was quick to help, taking out the remaining money from her coat pocket and handing it to Buling: "That's all."
Buling took the money and counted it. There were seventeen dollars and fifty-three cents in total, including three coins. She straightened the money and put it back into Sangshen's pocket. "When you're out and about, you still need to have some money on hand!"
Mulberry was deeply moved: "Lingling, you're so good to me!"
Bling accepted the compliment without any modesty, "You still haven't told me where the money came from?"
Sangshen didn't hide it and whispered, "It came from my brother. It's pocket money he gave me."
Buling looked at him incredulously: "You're so old, and your brother still gives you pocket money?"
The mulberry innocently retorted, "Is it not allowed?"
Buling's lips twitched: "Sure, of course!" Then she changed the subject: "Since your older brother gives you an allowance, then you can skip your monthly allowance, since you wouldn't care about it anyway!"
Mulberry: ...
"I scratched it for you!" he said angrily, tugging at Bling's hand.
Bu Ling couldn't hear her, and besides, she was doing this for Sang Shen's own good. There's a saying that goes, "Men with money turn bad!"
Two hours passed in a flash, and the two left the waiting room and boarded the train to Harbin.
This time, Sangshen used his brother's connections to buy two sleeper tickets.
But as he stepped into the sleeper car, Bling raised an eyebrow. What do you call this? It's like enemies meeting on a narrow road!
Seeing the elderly woman glaring at her, Buling smiled defiantly and walked over: "Auntie, this is our bed. You're sitting in the wrong place!"
The old woman glared at her with her triangular eyes, "You brat, you..."
"Help! There's someone here..." Buling shouted as soon as he opened his mouth.
The old woman jumped up and shouted, "You little slut, how dare you slander me!" She then charged at Bu Ling.
Sangshen was about to stop her, but Buling stopped her with a look.
Buling stood there with a half-smile, watching the old woman get closer and closer until she was only a step away.
Like an old woman faking an accident, she nimbly lay down, shouting, "Help! Someone's being hit! Help! An old lady is hitting me!"
The old woman stood there, stunned.
Buling thrashed about twice, then unintentionally kicked the old woman, again and again.
At this point, the two people on the upper bunk stopped pretending to be dead, and people from the next carriage came to uphold justice!
The commotion quickly attracted the attention of the train police.
"What's all the noise about?" the tall, uniformed train police officer shouted.
Before the old woman could speak, Bu Ling interrupted her, saying, "Officer, she hit me! She took my berth and then hit me!"
Sangshen chimed in, adding insult to injury: "That old lady is a thief! I just saw her being taken to the police station in the waiting room!"
"What?!" The surrounding crowd erupted in uproar.
Upon seeing this, the old woman immediately sat down on the ground and started throwing a tantrum, but Buling beat her to it:
