Chapter 273 Comradeship

Buyi and his comrades chatted for two hours until the restaurant had its first customer, at which point they returned.

"Lingling, do you have any wine? I'll treat your Brother Lü to dinner tonight," Bu Yi said, seizing the opportunity to discuss with Bu Ling.

"One plate of braised chicken and two steamed buns!" Bu Ling notified the kitchen first before answering Bu Yi, "No wine, bro, you guys are still drinking? Aren't you going home tonight?"

"I've taken two days off and will be back tomorrow night."

"But Xie Dong has wine, so you can go drink there tonight, so the old man won't get too greedy." Bu Ling quickly calculated the bill and collected the money.

Bu Yi stepped aside and said, "Let's invite Xie Dong and Sang Shen, the four of us can drink together."

Bu Ling shook his head: "Xie Dong isn't home, he's out driving. Sang Shen doesn't drink."

"Xie Dong isn't home, shall we go to his house?" Bu Yi hesitated for a moment, "Or should I just take Lao Lü home to the family compound?"

"My brother, don't worry about it. Xie Dong and Sang Shen are practically inseparable, they won't care about these things." Bu Ling placed the dishes from the kitchen on the counter and called out, "Big plate chicken, steamed buns are ready!"

"Alright, after get off work you can take your brother Lü straight home. I'll go to the grocery store first to buy some meat." Bu Yi wasn't one to be coy, and after thinking it over, he agreed.

“No problem!” Buling gave an 'OK' sign, and didn’t forget to remind him, “Brother, remember to buy a big bone, I want to drink bone broth.”

“Okay!” Buyi readily agreed.

After dinner time, fewer people came to the restaurant. Bu Ling hung up the "sold out" sign, took out the receipts from the drawer and sorted them out, then called Master Lü and knocked on the door of Manager Zhu's office.

After checking the accounts for the day, Bu Ling and Master Lü left the office. Bu Ling said, "Brother Lü, pack up and let's go home together later. My brother is waiting for us at home."

Lü Zhiwei raised the corners of his lips: "Okay." Meeting an old friend in a foreign land is one of the four great joys in life, let's have a big toast!

Buling went back behind the counter to get her hat and scarf, then slung her bag over her shoulder. She had only taken a few steps when she saw Aunt Fang push open the door and come in: "Aunt Fang," she waved to greet her.

Hearing the sound, Aunt Fang looked over, then breathed a sigh of relief. She hurried over to Bu Ling and said, "Thank goodness we made it in time!"

"Sister Fang, why are you in such a hurry? I'm not going anywhere."

"Hey, I was just worried you'd be going home alone after get off work, it's so dangerous!" Aunt Fang took a few deep breaths before noticing Bu Ling's neatly dressed appearance: "Lingling, are you getting off work?"

“Okay, a little earlier today.” Bling nodded.

"Shall we leave now?"

"Wait, Aunt Fang, there's someone else here." Bu Ling grabbed Aunt Fang's arm.

Aunt Fang turned around in confusion: "Is there someone else? Is your colleague coming to visit us?"

"I guess so," Bling replied.

Just then, Chef Lü came out after finishing his work in the kitchen and walked over to Bu Ling. "Little sister, let's go."

"Hiss~" Fang Sao gasped as she saw the person walk in, but quickly composed herself and put on a formal smile: "Hello, you must be Lingling's colleague? My surname is Fang, you can call me Fang Sao."

Lu Zhiwei noticed Fang Sao's unusual behavior. When she reached out her hand, he unconsciously turned his body slightly to face her with the undamaged side of his face before extending his hand: "Hello, my surname is Lu."

"Oh, it's Chef Lü! I've heard Lingling mention you before. She said your cooking is amazing. Let's have a chat sometime!" Aunt Fang blinked, trying to hide the lingering fear in her eyes.

Lu Zhiwei nodded silently and simply said, "Okay."

"Alright, alright, stop chatting, let's go home, it's almost dark outside," Bu Ling said after the two finished exchanging pleasantries.

“Lingling is right, let’s go.” Aunt Fang was the first to respond, turned around, opened the restaurant door, and walked out first.

Bu Ling followed, with Master Lü bringing up the rear.

On the way, Bu Ling tried her best to liven up the atmosphere and prevent the three of them from becoming too awkward, but with little success.

Fang's wife was unusually silent, offering only simple answers to the topics raised by Bu Ling, completely lacking her previous talkativeness and cheerfulness.

As for Master Lü, he was even more ridiculous. He only responded to Bu Ling with "uh-huh" and "oh" the whole time, which made Bu Ling extremely frustrated.

Their attempt to liven things up failed, and for the rest of the journey, the three of them remained silent, as if by unspoken agreement.

Just as the three of them turned into the alley, they heard the sound of a bicycle bell behind them. Bu Ling turned around and saw Sang Shen.

"Lingling, Aunt Fang, you're back? It's a bit late today." Sangshen stopped her bicycle and pushed it along with them. "Oh, who's this? Lingling, is this your colleague?"

"Yes, our restaurant's new head chef is also my brother's comrade-in-arms. His surname is Lü, you can just call him Brother Lü." Since Aunt Fang didn't speak, it was Bu Ling who introduced him to Sang Shen.

As a result, the cold war between the two could not be sustained.

Sangshen hadn't thought of that yet. He simply glanced politely at Master Lü and then extended his hand: "Brother Lü, hello. My name is Sangshen. I'm Lingling's boyfriend and Buyi's brother-in-law."

Lu Zhiwei turned his head slightly before extending his hand: "Hello."

Sangshen noticed his subtle movements, her lips twitched for a moment before she said, "Let's go, it's awfully cold outside."

"good."

When I got home, Bu Yi was already back and was sitting in the living room chatting with Grandpa Sang and Uncle Lin. What was rare was that Sang Zi was also there today.

"Is Big Brother coming back today too?" Bu Ling asked Sang Shen, who was standing to the side.

To his surprise, Sangshen looked even more puzzled: "I don't know. My brother has been so busy lately that I haven't seen him for days. Who knew he would come back today?"
