Chapter 295 Jiang Wanying's Decision

Last night was so chaotic that Bu Ling forgot to ask about Jiang Wanying.

It wasn't until the next day, when she saw Jiang Wanying seeing her parents off at the door, that she remembered this incident.

When she got home from get off work that evening, she caught Sangshen gossiping: "Hey, I saw Sister-in-law Xiao Jiang seeing her parents off this morning. Wasn't she with them?"

Sangshen had just arrived home and hadn't even had a sip of water when Bling grabbed him. He smiled helplessly and put his arm around Bling.

"Can I have a drink of water first? I'm dying of thirst."

"Here, have some." Bu Ling poured him a glass of water and handed it to him.

Seeing her burning gaze, Sangshen paused in her act of drinking water, pinched her nose in retaliation, and then raised her hand to drink it all in one gulp.

He put down his cup and, without waiting for Bu Ling to ask any more questions, said directly, "Sister Jiang's family originally planned to take her away, but Sister Jiang did not agree."

"She gave all the money Xie Dong compensated her to her parents, and even wrote a letter severing ties, all so as not to implicate her parents."

At this point, Sangshen couldn't help but grasp Buling's hand: "Lingling, in case, I mean in case we encounter something like this in the future, I hope you won't do it."

As Xie Dong's brother, he was touched by Xiao Jiang's choice, but as a man, he did not want his wife and daughter to suffer with him.

Bling pulled her hand away and glared at him: "What are you thinking about? Do you need to remind me of this?"

Mulberry: ...

"So decisive?" He looked at Bu Ling with a wry smile.

“Of course!” Bling said matter-of-factly. “Let me tell you, I can’t stand any hardship. If it really comes to that, don’t blame me!”

Sangshen bit her cheek angrily: "You heartless bastard!"

Bling pushed him away: "Hey, you, didn't you just say you wanted me to be more decisive?"

Sangshen ignored her and continued to hug her tightly, saying, "I don't care, I can say that but you can't!"

"Hmph, double standard dog!" Bling scolded, but her eyes were full of laughter.

"So you're being hypocritical, so you're being hypocritical!" Mulberry said, "Anyway, you're not allowed to abandon me!"

"Alright, alright, your aunt will be back soon, go and greet her." Bu Ling pushed him away: "I'm going to feed Little Star."

Sangshen reluctantly stood up, grumbling, "I told her I'd go buy groceries, but she wouldn't do it. She's so old, don't tire herself out!"

"What do you know, you brat?" Auntie entered the yard, pointed vaguely at the mulberries, and scolded with a laugh, "The vegetables you bought are all wilted, how can you eat them?"

"Look, when I went to buy some, they even gave me two free scallions. Would they give you that if you went?"

Sangshen took the cloth bag from her aunt's hand: "You really went all out, just for those two scallions? I told you to ride a bicycle but you wouldn't, it must have been so tiring!"

"I'm just taking a walk, what's it to you?" Aunt Sang rolled her eyes at him. "Get out of my way, don't block my way!"

"Lingling, your aunt bought potatoes and green beans today. How about we have braised noodles with green beans for dinner? There's also a piece of meat in the cupboard."

"Okay!" Buling stood at the door, holding Little Star, and smiled gently.

The two quickly decided on dinner. As for mulberries, his opinion didn't matter, and he said, "Xiao Qi, go and roll out the noodles. Let's have white noodles today."

"Fine, I'm just a little cabbage~" Mulberry said, sounding aggrieved.

"Aunt, you're back?" Jiang Wanying walked in from outside carrying a bowl. "I steamed a pot of sauerkraut buns. I brought you two. Would you like to try them and see if they're good?" As she spoke, she put down the bowl.

Aunt peeked inside and exclaimed, "It's pure white flour again? Little Jiang, you've really gone to a lot of trouble." She smiled broadly.

Jiang Wanying smiled and said, "It's no trouble at all. You've taken good care of us before, Auntie."

Seeing her genuine smile, Aunt Sang couldn't help but smile as well. That's good.

"Then Auntie won't stand on ceremony. Perfect timing, we're having braised noodles tonight. You and Dongzi can eat here, so it won't be a hassle to go home."

“Okay.” Jiang Wanying readily agreed: “I’ll go home and close the door, then I’ll come help my aunt cook in a bit.”

During dinner that evening, Bu Ling watched the interaction between Jiang Wanying and Xie Dong, and secretly nudged Sang Shen, gesturing for him to look.

Sangshen picked up some meat from her bowl and gave it to Buling, saying softly, "Eat your food properly."

Buling pursed his lips, picked up the piece of meat, put it in his mouth, and focused on eating.

After dinner, Sang Shen and Xie Dong went to wash the dishes, while Aunt Bu Ling and Jiang Wanying sat together chatting with Little Star.

Jiang Wanying looked at the little sweater in her aunt's hands and praised, "Aunt, you are so skillful!"

“Hey, what’s this? When you have children in the future, your aunt will knit them for your kids too. Your aunt can knit any pattern you want.” Aunt Sang’s fingers kept moving.

Jiang Wanying's eyes dimmed for a moment, then she smiled again: "Then I'll be waiting for you, Auntie."

That evening, after Buling finished tidying herself up, she lay down in bed. Sangshen moved Xiaoxing to the side and lay down next to Buling herself, saying, "Xie Dong asked me to invite Uncle Yu over. He can take care of your health then."

"You don't have to take medicine again, do you?" Upon hearing about conditioning her body, Bu Ling couldn't help but think of the days when she had to take Chinese medicine.

Sangshen didn't answer, but changed the subject: "Old Man Yu's acupuncture is something even my grandma praised. You should give it a try."

Bu Ling felt she had developed a phobia of traditional Chinese medicine: "I'll have my aunt take a look at it too."

"Don't worry, Old Man Yu will stay for a few days this time, there's plenty of time." Sangshen patted her chubby daughter: "So, none of us will run away."
