Her aunt frantically wiped away her tears while trying to comfort her:
"Oh, don't cry anymore~ Our little star was upset, wasn't she?"
"My bottom hurts so much! Mommy's so mean!"
"Oh, okay, don't cry anymore. Grandma can hit Mommy, okay?"
Hearing this, Little Star stole a glance at Bling, and seeing her staring at her with a stern face, quickly looked away and continued howling...
Aunt glared at Buling, then took Little Star to her own room to comfort her.
After the two left, Bu Ling rubbed her temples, looked at the messy bed, sighed, resignedly took off her coat, and began to wipe her eldest daughter's bottom.
The bed sheet and the mattress underneath were completely ruined and needed to be taken apart and washed again. There were also stacked cups with small handprints on them, which made my blood pressure soar.
While tidying up, I pondered the direction of my eldest daughter's education. This couldn't continue. If this family spoiled her like this, and she was already this outrageous when she was little, what would she be like when she grew up?
She was cleaning up the mess when her aunt came in a little while later, looking at Buling with a hesitant expression, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
"Lingling, the child is still young and doesn't understand." That's what Auntie finally said.
Bling threw the used sheets and blankets on the floor and put on a clean set of bedding. "You have to start educating your children when they're young."
Her aunt helped her put on the duvet cover, saying, "You can't discipline someone by hitting them. Look how much Little Star is crying. Don't you feel sorry for her?" Her tone was somewhat reproachful as she thought of the little girl who was still crying in her sleep.
Buling sighed and put down the blanket: "Aunt, look at Xiaoxing now. She's not afraid of anything and dares to do anything. This won't do. It will harm her."
People have become so blindly devoted that they will do whatever Little Star does if she pouts.
During this time, Bling watched coldly as Little Star became increasingly unruly.
A couple of days ago, he insisted on going to work with Sangzi. He would pout if he wasn't taken, so Sangzi and the Sangzhen brothers agreed without any principles.
The problem was that later they heard that Little Star was causing trouble everywhere in Sangzi's office, but no one had the heart to scold her. Buling wanted to scold her, but her whole family stopped her.
After that, she suddenly realized that she couldn't spoil her anymore, which led to what happened today.
This was something Bling had been planning for a long time.
"The child is still young. She'll understand when she grows up." The aunt still felt that Buling was too heartless as a mother.
Bling: ...
She understood; this was what people often refer to as the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
“But Auntie, can you guarantee you won’t be soft-hearted towards Little Star when she grows up?” Buling tried to reason with her.
My aunt said confidently, "Of course!"
After saying that, she muttered, "Our Sang family has the strength to protect Little Star. As long as she's happy, there's no need to be so strict with her."
“But I can’t,” Bu Ling said seriously. “Little Star is my child. I hope she will be humble and kind in the future. Even if she is not outstanding, she must not become a lawless person.”
She doesn't expect her daughter to be outstanding, nor does she have the desire to push her child to excel. She can accept her daughter being ordinary, but she absolutely cannot accept her perfectly fine daughter being spoiled into an unruly person.
Buling knew that her aunt thought she was making a mountain out of a molehill. The child was still young and could be taught slowly, but once a personality was formed, it would be difficult to change it.
“Aunt, I know you love Xiaoxing, but there has to be a limit. She needs to know what she can and cannot do; what she should and shouldn’t do!” Buling spoke softly, but firmly.
The aunt was speechless for a moment, and silently carried the soiled sheets and blankets out, leaving Bling in the quiet room.
Watching her retreating figure, Bu Ling pursed her lips, lowered her head, and continued making the bed. Admittedly, she was very grateful to her aunt, but she would not easily back down on her daughter's education.
When Sangshen came home from get off work that evening, she keenly sensed that something was wrong. "Lingling, what's wrong?"
Buling calmly recounted the events of the evening to Sangshen.
After listening, Sang Shen carefully glanced at her face and then asked, "Lingling, did you really hit your daughter?"
"Yes, I did."
Sangshen jumped to her feet, pointing at Buling, speechless for a long time: "You...you...you...."
"What's wrong with me?" Bling glanced at him indifferently.
"How could you hit your daughter? She's so young!" Sangzhen was truly angry this time, and rarely spoke harshly to Buling.
To his surprise, Bling was even angrier: "Why can't I? She's my daughter!"
“She’s my daughter too!” Sangshen exclaimed.
"What are you yelling about?" Bu Ling was furious: "That's my own flesh and blood, how could I not feel pain if I hit her?"
Sangshen pursed her lips, her expression unpleasant: "She's still so young. If she makes a mistake, you can just teach her. Why did you have to hit her!"
“Teach me? How could I possibly teach you? You always stop me. Have you ever given me any chance to teach you?” Buling retorted defiantly.
“You can’t hit a child.” Sangshen argued stubbornly, insisting that hitting a child was wrong.
Bling shoved him aside: "Get out of the way!"
"I've already done it, it's too late for anything you say now," Bu Ling said coldly.
Sangshen was so angry he turned into a pufferfish. He wanted to vent his anger on Buling, but he felt a little guilty. He was unwilling to just let it go.
In the end, Sangshen said nothing, snorted coldly, and left the house to see her eldest daughter.
Bling glanced at his back, her eyes showing no emotion.
To be honest, this was the first time Sangzhen had ever been angry with her, but she was not someone who was easily swayed. Once she made up her mind, no one could stop her.
