The next day, Aunt and Sangs were filled with fear and trepidation.
Bling ate breakfast with a normal expression, and even kissed her daughter's cheek.
Little Xingxing, who was yelling "Mommy is bad" yesterday, has long forgotten how she cried and looked so wronged after sleeping all night. She and Buling have made up again and are now inseparable.
Sangshen and her aunt, who were carefully watching the mother and daughter, unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.
"Aunt, I'm leaving now." After being affectionate with her daughter, Buling stood up and said with a smile.
"Oh, okay," Auntie replied blankly.
Bu Ling smiled, slung her bag over her shoulder, and went out the door.
After she left, Sangshen and her aunt exchanged a glance, and then Sangshen spoke up: "Didn't we go too far?"
Aunt rolled her eyes: "It seems so."
Upon hearing this, Sangshen's face fell. "So, my attitude was like that yesterday?"
"I'm not good either," the aunt reflected.
The two exchanged a glance, their faces filled with regret.
On the other side, Bling didn't have as many thoughts.
As she herself said, she is the biological mother, and her purpose was just to discipline Xiaoxing's personality, not to actually hit her daughter.
So she can do whatever she wants, but mulberries... humph!
From that day on, Sangzhen was devastated to find that his Lingling was ignoring him again, and this time she was even more difficult to coax.
Furthermore, his daughter Lingling is a woman of her word. When her daughter makes a mistake, she will scold her severely to make sure she knows she is wrong. Not only that, but if she makes a serious mistake, she will even hit her, and no one can stop her.
When it comes to educating her daughter, Buling has shown unprecedented assertiveness.
Having lived with Buling for so long, this was the first time my aunt had experienced the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
She felt sorry for Xiaoxing, but her biological mother, Buling, would scold and beat her without mercy, making her aunt live in fear every day, afraid that Xiaoxing would be beaten again.
The turmoil in the Sang family even spread to the Xie family next door, as well as Bu Yi and Liang Boda, who lived in the military family compound. Even Sang Zi was not spared.
Whenever Bling disciplines her daughter, if anyone tries to stop her, Bling will unleash a barrage of attacks without any mercy, showing no consideration for anyone and striking a wide-ranging attack.
For example, if Little Star breaks a bowl of vegetable puree that she doesn't like, and Buling tells her to stop, but she still doesn't change her ways, then corporal punishment is necessary.
Sang Zi happened to be there that time, and it was the first time she had directly faced Bu Ling's educational philosophy. She instinctively tried to stop him, and then faced a storm of anger from her younger siblings.
"Big brother, do you want Little Star to develop the habit of smashing bowls when she doesn't like something to eat?"
"Auntie, are you going to keep coaxing her to eat vegetables until she's twenty?"
"Can you stay with Mulberry for the rest of your life?"
"With the way you spoil her, she's bound to grow up to be a domineering person. Can you protect her for the rest of your life?"
"If you suffer when you are young, you won't suffer even more when you grow up because of your temper."
“I’m her biological mother, and I only give her a few light slaps to discipline her. What if it’s someone else in the future? Would they just give her a few light slaps like that?”
Bu Ling's words left the three people present speechless.
After a brief standoff, Sangzi was the first to sit down and pick up her chopsticks to eat. Her aunt was the second to sit down, her head bowed, seemingly lost in thought. Only Sangzhen remained standing, looking at her daughter who was crying loudly with heartache.
Buling ignored him and slapped her a few more times. Her daughter cried even louder. Buling just stood by and watched her until Little Star gradually stopped crying and started sobbing softly.
She then asked, "Do you know you were wrong?"
Little Star said haltingly, "I...I understand."
"Are you still going to smash the bowl?"
Little Star quickly shook his head, "No way, no way."
"So what do you want to say to your uncle and aunt?"
"I'm sorry."
Buling nodded in satisfaction, then spoke gently and reasonably: "If you don't like eating vegetables, you can tell Mom. You can't throw bowls or get angry, okay?"
Little Star pouted: "No vegetables!"
"Did Little Star tell his mother?"
Little Star blinked its big, wet eyes and looked innocently at Bling.
Bling wiped her face and sat down. "So this is where you're wrong, isn't it?"
“Little Star doesn’t like vegetables, you can tell Mommy, and Mommy won’t force you.” She tried to reason with her child using the simplest language possible.
She's not a domineering person; you can tell her if you don't like something, but you can't smash cups or bowls.
"Grandma, please feed me." Little Star also felt wronged.
She clearly doesn't like vegetables, but the adults keep feeding her, which annoys her.
"Grandma is only doing this for Little Star's own good," Buling whispered in her ear. "And Mommy's going to tell you a secret, you won't grow tall if you don't eat vegetables~"
Little Star pouted, "No vegetables!"
“Then we won’t eat it,” Bling said, going along with her.
"I won't eat vegetables." Little Star nodded emphatically.
"good."
Bling picked up the broken bowl, took a new one, and served Little Star a piece of meat. "Does our Little Star like to eat meat?"
"porridge."
With a smile, Bu Ling placed the piece of meat, which was fatter than lean, in front of her daughter: "Eat up, Mom will feed you."
Little Star ate the meat with gusto, one bite after another, showing no signs of his previous eating difficulties.
After feeding Little Star two pieces of fatty meat and some noodles, and then patting her bulging little belly, Bu Ling put down the bowl, wiped her daughter's mouth clean, and kissed her little cheek: "Go play."
