After a long while, the heat inside the room dissipated.
Bling nestled in Sangshen's arms, her cheeks flushed, breathing heavily as she savored the afterglow of their workout.
Sangshen played with Bling's jet-black hair with her left hand: "Lingling, tell me about your superpower."
"What do you want to know?" Bling asked lazily.
"I want to know everything about you."
“Okay~ let’s start from the beginning.” Bling shifted his body, found a comfortable position, and began his long-winded explanation:
"Do you remember when I told you that I got a high fever because I went out in the pouring rain to deliver an umbrella to my stepfather?"
“I remember,” Sangshen nodded.
"That time, I almost burned to death, but somehow, a space appeared in my mind. That space was invisible and intangible, but it was real, and only I could see it."
"There was some food and fever reducer in the space. I had a high fever at the time and didn't care about anything else. I took the medicine as a last resort."
"But to my surprise, the medicine actually worked. My fever broke the day after I took it."
"Later, whenever I thought of that space, it would appear before my eyes."
"I have experimented many times. Whenever I want, I can take things out of the space, and I can also put things from outside into the space. It is as if I have a private space that belongs entirely to me and no one else can ever find it."
Buling spoke between truth and lies, saying that the matter of time travel was a secret she wanted to keep to herself and would never tell a second person.
She is a selfish person. She loves her brother Buyi very much and doesn't want him to know that she is not the original owner of the body. She wants to be Buyi's sister Buling forever.
Buyi could no longer bear the blow of losing his sister.
"Lingling, you've suffered so much!" Sangshen hugged Buling tightly.
Bling: "It's alright, it's all in the past."
The original owner of this body suffered; she only endured a few days of torment, but her stepfather's family also paid the price. She didn't lose out.
Sangshen didn't say anything more, but felt even more sorry for Buling.
The two cuddled together, not knowing when they finally fell asleep.
The next day, as soon as Buling opened her eyes, she heard Sangshen say, "Lingling, don't tell anyone else about what happened last night, okay?"
Hearing this, Bu Ling snapped back to reality, turned to look at Sang Shen, and was startled by the dark circles under his eyes: "You didn't sleep all night?"
Sangshen solemnly instructed, "Lingling, did you remember that?"
Buling nodded haphazardly a couple of times and pressed Sangshen onto the bed: "I know, I know, you should get some sleep."
"Otherwise, if my daughter sees this, she'll think some family's giant panda has escaped."
Sangshen didn't resist and obediently lay down, but she still reminded him, "You must remember, you absolutely must not tell anyone else."
Bling's heart felt like it was soaking in warm water. She leaned down and kissed him on the cheek: "Okay, I won't tell anyone but you."
Sang Shen was relieved and closed her eyes, falling asleep instantly.
While he was sleeping, Bling would sit by the bed and watch him.
Looking at the man sleeping soundly on the bed, she trusted someone completely for the first time, and she began to understand what it meant to be blinded by love.
When someone appears in your life whom you can trust completely, it's not surprising that you become love-struck.
However, being obsessed with love is not terrible; what is terrible is losing yourself because of it.
This situation will never happen to Bling.
The mulberry slept until the afternoon.
When he opened his eyes, the sun was already setting in the west. Bling was sitting by the window, legs crossed, reading a book.
The dim light shone on her and also into Sangshen's heart. He gazed at the scene intently and whispered:
"Lingling?"
I was afraid that if I made a loud noise, I would disturb this scene.
Bling looked up at him: "You're awake?"
Sang Shen's eyes softened. "Mmm."
"Perfect timing, it's time for dinner." Buling put down her book, stood up, and handed her clothes to Sangshen: "Shall we get up?"
Mulberry nodded: "Get up."
When the two came downstairs, the food was already on the table.
Today is the second day of the Lunar New Year. In the past, it was a day for ancestor worship, but now that we're destroying the Four Olds, no one dares to do it openly anymore, so we're all free today.
At this time, the entire Sang family was present.
Grandpa Sang and Little Star were whispering to each other, head to head. Aunt Sang sat by the window, drinking coffee and reading a book. Aunt Fang was busy in the kitchen.
Hearing footsteps coming downstairs, the whole family turned their attention to them.
Aunt Sang smiled mischievously, "Lingling, you've worked hard!"
Buling: I don't know how to explain this.
I need help urgently!
Before she could even finish her thought, Sangshen had already struck hard: "Auntie, if you're so envious, find us an uncle too!"
Sang Xiaogu: Her smile vanished.
She glared at the mulberry tree, then turned back to her book.
Sang Xiaogu has been defeated!
The eldest daughter came online: "Mom, sleeping in late, how embarrassing." As she spoke, she even scribbled a couple of times on her cheek.
Buling: My fist is hard now.
"Small..."
"It's Dad's fault, Dad slept in too late." Sangzhen quickly spoke up, subtly defusing a potential mother-daughter argument.
Little Star pouted, defeated!
This child is most afraid of her mother, yet also loves to tease her; I don't know what she's thinking.
Then came Grandpa Sang, who coughed twice: "Cough cough, Xiao Qi, don't do that again next time. You need to eat on time, understand?"
Sangshen obediently replied, "I understand, Grandpa."
