Chapter 347 Worries

The eighth day after the Lunar New Year.

The Buling family was preparing to return to Gu County. They were taking the evening train and would pass through Gu County the next morning.

So, after lunch, they started packing their luggage.

Little Star doesn't need their help; Grandpa, Uncle Lin, and Aunt Fang take care of everything. Bu Ling and her companion only need to look after themselves.

However, the two disagreed.

The point of contention was the dress that Aunt Sang had given her; Sang insisted on taking it, while Bu Ling vehemently refused.

"Lingling, take this with you. It's a token of your aunt's affection."

"No, my aunt won't mind."

"Take it with you, it looks so nice on you," Sangshen said earnestly, holding up a small, transparent piece of clothing.

Buling glanced at the so-called clothes, and couldn't help but think of what happened to her when she wore them before. She shook her head rapidly: "No, absolutely not."

"Lingling~ Take it with you, take it with you~" the muscular man pleaded.

The strong woman refused: "No, I'm not bringing it, and I mean it!"

The two were deadlocked, neither able to convince the other.

"Xiao Qi, are you not done yet?" Aunt Fang asked as she climbed upstairs.

Bling quickly snatched the piece of fabric and stuffed it into the wardrobe: "Okay, okay, that's it."

As she spoke, she closed the suitcase, fastened the clasp, and stood the suitcase upright in one smooth motion, giving Sangshen no chance to interfere.

Having lost the initiative, Sangshen had no choice but to accept reality, throwing her beloved clothes into the closet and resolutely leaving them behind.

The two of them carried only one suitcase, which was full of clothes, and they went downstairs with ease.

When I got downstairs, the first thing that caught my eye was the five suitcases in the living room that were stretched to their deformities.

Bling stared in disbelief, stammering, "This...this is?"

"This is Little Star's luggage. It's a bit light, please don't mind." Grandpa Sang patted Little Star's head affectionately.

Tough guy with a soft heart: "How about Great-Grandpa sends the rest to our little stars?"

"Okay." Little Star said obediently, "Great-Grandpa is the best." She was incredibly sweet-talking.

Grandpa Sang was overjoyed by the flattery, and once again pondered what the little girl liked. His daughter had to have the best of everything.

The old man was always a simple man; his clothes were always patched, but he was very generous with Little Star.

He had only one thought: his great-granddaughter didn't care about what was right, she only wanted what was expensive.

Compared to Little Star's five fully packed suitcases, Bling and Sangs, who shared one suitcase, looked quite pitiful.

Buling glanced at her eldest daughter, whose eyes were gleaming with greed, and decisively turned her head: "Grandpa, we don't need to bring so much stuff, we can't carry it all."

"Just pick a few of the little stars you like to bring, and leave the rest at home. We'll come back at the end of the year."

Little Star was so anxious that she was about to speak when her dear great-grandfather beat her to it.

The old man waved his hand dismissively: "It's alright, take it with you. We'll buy more when you come back."

“But there are too many things for us to carry,” Bling reminded her.

"Then let Xiao Lin take you to Gu County." The old man's mind worked quickly.

Bling: ...

She nudged the mulberry, signaling him to speak.

Sangshen was also very helpful, clearing her throat: "No need, Grandpa. Just have Uncle Lin take us to the train station. My brother and Dongzi will pick us up from Gu County."

Bling: ? ? ?

Is this what she wants him to say?

Grandpa Sang pondered for a moment: "That works too."

Since that's the case, "Xiao Fang, take that box from inside the house too."

"Okay."

Bling watched helplessly as two more suitcases belonging to Little Star appeared, not knowing what to say.

Sometimes, I feel quite helpless.

There are quite a few people who are holding back when it comes to educating their daughters.

If it weren't for Bling's strong will, she would have been led astray long ago.

For example, right now, Buling doesn't want Xiaoxing to develop a habit of spending money recklessly, but the whole family spoils her, so no matter what she says, it's useless.

She tried to educate Little Star in front of the old man, but he always thwarted her. After a few times, she just let them be.

Anyway, Little Star will have to go back to Gu County sooner or later, won't she?

She has plenty of time to correct this mindset of hers.

The little star, who was feeling quite pleased with himself, suddenly felt a chill down his back and sneezed loudly.

She turned her head to look, but there was no one behind her except her mother sitting on the sofa, smiling kindly.

Little Star is too young and lacks social experience; he can't see the ill intent behind Bling's smile.

She thought that this trip to Kyoto had given her a way to defeat her mother, and she was quite fearless.

With Uncle Lin's help, the Buling family, carrying large and small bags, made their way through the carriages to their sleeper compartment.

"Thank you, Uncle Lin."

"Thank you, Grandpa Lin."

Uncle Lin waved his hand: "You're welcome."

After helping them settle their suitcases, Uncle Lin left.

We arrived in Gu County safely.

As soon as the train pulled into the station, Xie Dong and Sang Zi went against the flow of people.

Without a word, the two of them picked up their suitcases and got off the bus.

The train only stops in Gu County for half an hour, so time is tight and we can't afford to waste a single minute.

After overcoming numerous difficulties to get off the train, Sangzi led her family of three to a jeep parked by the roadside and tied their suitcases to the roof.

I started the car and drove home.

"Oh, time to go home!" Little Star cheered.

In her young heart, this was her home, while Kyoto was her relatives' home.

For so long, she had been visiting relatives, but now, she has finally returned home.
