Chapter 372 The Sang Family's Secret

A girl was also with Chen Xinghua.

After entering, he led the girl straight to a quiet corner.

Bling and Mulberry exchanged a glance, and then Mulberry, the dog, stealthily crept over.

"Mom, what is Dad doing?" Little Star asked in confusion.

Bling gestured for his daughter to shush, "Daddy's doing something important, little star, please don't bother him, okay?"

Seeing Bu Ling's solemn expression, Little Star couldn't help but become serious as well. She nodded and whispered, "Mom, I understand."

The mother and daughter had just finished talking when, a second later, they saw Sangshen stand up and walk back towards them.

As soon as he sat down, Buling asked impatiently, "What's wrong?"

"Chen Xinghua is on a blind date," Sangshen said, unable to suppress her laughter.

Thinking of Chen Xinghua's straight-male remarks that he had just heard, he felt sorry for the female comrades.

It was just bad luck that she ran into someone like Chen Xinghua.

"Dad, what are you and Mom talking about?" the little girl asked, puzzled.

Sangshen lied without batting an eye: "Dad and Mom are discussing something important."

Little Star said "Oh," and was quickly distracted. "Mom, the roast duck is here."

This sound, coming just when the restaurant was quiet, attracted the attention of the diners, including Chen Xinghua.

His face turned green when he saw the mulberry and the burl.

The girl opposite her, seeing the opportunity, said, "Your friend? Then you two chat, I won't disturb you any longer, I'll take my leave now."

After saying that, he disappeared into the restaurant in a flash, not even bothering to eat the roast duck.

Chen Xinghua: ....

He stared dumbfounded as the girl, with whom he had been having a great conversation, just ran away.

It took him a while to react. After he realized what had happened, his expression turned angry: "Sang Xiaoqi, did you do this on purpose?"

He finally found a girl he liked, but on their first date, he ran into the bastard Sang Xiaoqi and her family of three. What bad luck!

Along with feeling unlucky, he also felt wronged. Sang Xiaoqi's daughter was already so grown up, while he, who was the same age, still had no wife in sight.

He stormed up to the table where the mulberry family of three sat: "You did this on purpose, didn't you?"

The injustice done to Mulberry is undeniable; Heaven and Earth bear witness: "Why don't you look for the cause within yourself?"

Thinking about what Chen Xinghua had said to that girl earlier, Sangshen couldn't help but give him a thumbs up for being such an idiot.

Chen Xinghua frowned: "What do you mean?"

Sangshen looked at him with pity, as if she were looking at a landlord's foolish son: "Is it possible that the girl ran away because she didn't want to talk to you?"

"Impossible!" Chen Xinghua vehemently denied, "We had a very pleasant chat."

Mulberry: ...

"Whatever makes you happy."

This person is beyond saving; he's destined to live a lonely life.

"Explain yourself clearly!" Chen Xinghua said, his tone extremely displeased.

What does Sang Xiaoqi mean by this? Does she look down on him?

"Whatever you think is fine." Sangshen had no desire to argue with him and waste her time.

Chen Xinghua was even more annoyed upon hearing this. He dragged a stool over and plopped down next to Sangshen: "I'm not leaving until you tell me."

Mulberry: "Childish!"

Sang Mianmian chimed in, "Mom, this uncle is so shameless! Is he trying to freeload off our food?"

Chen Xinghua was used to fighting with Sangshen, and he would use any underhanded tricks, not caring about saving face.

But he froze, looking at the little girl who was looking at him with disdain. His face flushed, which was rare for him. He forced himself to say, "Uncle didn't come here to freeload. He came here to treat you to a meal."

"Really?" the father and daughter exclaimed in unison.

The wronged Chen Xinghua, for the sake of saving face, nodded through his tears: "It's true."

Sangshen immediately said, "Waiter, bring two more ducks, to go!"

Chen Xinghua gritted his teeth and whispered, "Sang Xiaoqi, don't go too far."

The mulberry smiled innocently.

Little Sang Mianmian quickly came to her father's rescue, saying, "Thank you, Uncle."

Chen Xinghua forced a smile: "You're welcome, you're welcome."

Thanks to Chen Xinghua, the Buling family of three thoroughly enjoyed their roast duck meal.

After the meal, Bu Ling took her daughter out to digest, while Sang Shen stayed behind to pack up the leftovers and watched Chen Xinghua pay the bill.

After Bu Ling and her son left, Chen Xinghua's face darkened completely: "Sang Xiaoqi, you bastard!"

Sangshen calmly took a sip of duck bone soup: "Old Chen, don't get impatient. Since you've been so generous, I'll have a heart-to-heart talk with you."

Chen Xinghua looked at Sang Shen with suspicion, wondering what he was up to.

Mulberry flicked its big tail: "When you're chatting with a woman, don't be an idiot and talk about your past. She's not interested."

Chen Xinghua's face darkened. "You..."

"Also, don't talk to girls about your work. No girl wants to hear about it," Sang Shen said, her tone almost earnest.

Chen Xinghua is a police officer, specifically the kind who handles criminal cases.

He has a real talent for this. The last time he came to ask Manager Zhu about something, he was so flustered that he was easily fooled by Sangshen.

However, no one is perfect. Although he has an exceptional talent for solving cases, his emotional intelligence is terrible, practically nonexistent.

He went on a blind date with a girl and started talking about his crime-solving stories. No wonder she ran away as if she wanted to escape.

It's only because the girl is so well-mannered that she slapped him across the face.

Chen Xinghua retorted, "What do you know? Women all like a sense of security."

A gay man like him gives people such a sense of security; even murderers are afraid of him.
