Chapter 374 The Eldest Brother's Blind Date

This weekend, Sang Shen and her family of three spent the weekend in the courtyard.

And so, I witnessed another spectacle.

This excitement belongs to none other than Brother Sangzhang.

The reason is that Aunt Sang came back this morning.

She went to Harbin to spend the Lunar New Year with Uncle Sang before she returned.

The first thing my aunt did upon returning was to arrange a blind date for her eldest son.

Sure enough, as soon as he got home, he rushed out the door and first captured his eldest son, who was hiding in the army. He then instructed Sang Shen and the others to keep a close eye on him, and to hold them accountable if his eldest son escaped.

Then, she hurriedly grabbed her bag and went out.

Looking at her back, Bling could almost see the sparks beneath her feet.

On the other side, the two brothers, Sang Shen and Sang Zi, followed their elder brother Sang closely.

Brother Sang's face darkened: "Seventh Brother, Fourth Brother."

“Brother, it’s not that I’m being disloyal, it’s just that Auntie said she must keep a close eye on you, and I have no choice.” Sangzhen pleaded earnestly, “Brother, just stop struggling and give in.”

Sang Zi also said, "Brother, it's better to clarify some things sooner rather than later."

Sang Zhang's face stiffened, and he fell silent, seemingly lost in thought, showing no intention of leaving.

Sangshen stood to the side, completely baffled.

Unfortunately, his two older brothers did not seem inclined to explain anything to him.

At the dining table, Bu Ling continued his educational endeavors, paying no attention to the situation with his brothers, and thus had no way to answer Sang Shen's questions.

Not long after, my aunt returned, though of course she didn't come back on her own.

Several women followed behind my aunt, chatting and laughing as they walked into the house.

"Eldest son, we have guests. Go pour some water and add extra sugar," Auntie called out.

Sang Shen and Sang Zi took a few steps back in unison, leaving only Brother Sang standing in the same spot, conspicuously.

Brother Sang gritted his teeth and said, "Okay."

She turned and went into the kitchen briskly, lingered for a while, poured herself a few glasses of water, and refused to come out.

It was his aunt who couldn't stand it anymore, so she came into the kitchen and dragged him out.

Once outside the kitchen, Auntie's face lit up with a smile: "This is my eldest son."

"You look really energetic!"

"This young man is quite handsome."

"I heard he's a division commander?"

"Young and promising!"

Several women showered him with compliments, while Brother Sang gave a stiff smile.

As for the two brothers, Sangshen and Sangzi, they had already followed in the footsteps of Buling and her mother, retreating to the second floor, to a room where they could watch the show without being discovered.

It's a perfect spot for gossiping.

Then, Buling witnessed just how outstanding Brother Sang was.

He wasn't cold-faced, and he was quite polite, that's all:

"Eldest son, serve tea to your aunt and sister," the eldest aunt instructed.

Brother Sang did as instructed meticulously.

The aunties took a sip and then began to politely decline:

"Look, there's no need to pour sugar water at all!"

“My mom said to add sugar.” Brother Sang said in the coldest tone, uttering the most mama’s boy words.

The aunt who was speaking froze, chuckled awkwardly, and then fell silent.

"Xiao Sang, do you have any plans for the future?" another aunt asked.

"My mom told me to keep working hard in the army and make a good impression," Brother Sang said, repeating another of his mother's words.

Aunt Sang saw him acting like this, and her gums were almost crushed.

She slapped Brother Sang on the back: "This kid, he just loves to joke around."

At this moment, the young woman spoke up: "Auntie, I think Brother Sang did the right thing. You are his mother, so it is only right that he respects you."

Aunt Sang immediately beamed with joy upon hearing this: "Xiao Yan, you are such a good girl. I wonder which family is lucky enough to marry such a wonderful girl as you?" As she said this, she also gestured to Brother Sang.

But Brother Sang just frowned and sat there silently, pretending to be a block of wood.

My aunt was furious.

Despite the aunt's efforts to liven things up, the blind date ended hastily because Brother Sang was uncooperative.

However, before leaving, the girl named Xiaoyan was still a little unwilling to give up and asked, "Brother Sang, are you free tomorrow?"

The situation took an unexpected turn. Aunt Sang was so eager to agree on behalf of her son that she kept giving him meaningful glances, fearing he might cause trouble again.

To everyone's surprise, Brother Sang replied firmly, "I'm busy!"

Xiao Yan was still not giving up: "What about the day after tomorrow?"

"I don't have time!"

When is Brother Sang free?

"I'm never free!"

At this point, everyone naturally understood Brother Sang's attitude. Even though Xiao Yan still wanted to fight for it, she was dragged away by the aunties.

Aunt Sang forced a smile as she saw them off, but as soon as she turned around, her face darkened: "Sang Zhang!"

A sharp shout startled countless birds into flight.

Brother Sang calmly said, "Mom, I have to go to the army first."

After saying that, without waiting for her aunt's reply, she nimbly climbed over the wall and escaped.

Aunt: ....

A surge of anger was stuck in his throat.

She looked around twice, but didn't see another older bachelor in the Sang family, so her plan to divert her anger failed.

She stood there sulking for a while before going to the kitchen, making herself a bowl of noodles. After eating, she sighed and went upstairs.

Only after hearing the door close did the four adults and one child, who were huddled in the second-floor room, tiptoe open the door and cautiously descend the stairs.

Once outside the house and into the courtyard, the group breathed a collective sigh of relief.
