Huang Yuming gestured for him to proceed.
Bu Ling plopped down on the floor. "Sister Huang, you seem quite interested?"
Huang Yuming poured Bu Ling a cup of tea: "Try it, Da Hong Pao."
Bu Ling picked it up, took a sip, and said, "It's quite delicious."
Huang Yuming poured himself a glass, took a sip, and then asked, "Comrade Buling, have you made up your mind?"
Amidst the rising steam, Bu Ling nodded slowly but firmly.
"Then I wish us a safe journey!" Huang Yuming held up the white jade cup and handed it forward.
"Have a safe journey!" Bling raised her glass and clinked it against hers. "You must be safe."
She couldn't let this precious life, which she had finally managed to have, end so easily.
She still has a husband and daughter waiting for her, so she won't die easily.
"When do we set off?" Bling asked.
"Seven days later."
"Okay, I understand." Buling nodded and drank the tea in her cup in one gulp. "Another cup, please."
Huang Yuming smiled and poured her another cup.
The two of them took turns drinking tea, and soon the pot was empty.
After finishing a pot of tea, the two felt they had grown closer and chatted for a while before Bu Ling left the east wing and returned to his workstation to continue slacking off.
She still needed to come up with an excuse, an excuse that wouldn't arouse suspicion from Sangshen and her family.
This trip was top secret, so she naturally wouldn't tell anyone, but when going on a long trip, there always has to be a plausible reason.
Otherwise, she might say, "The world is so big, I want to go and see it."
No, no, what if Sangshen insists on going with her?
After thinking for a long time, Buling still couldn't come up with a suitable excuse.
There was no way around it; she and Sangshen were too familiar with each other, and Sangshen knew her too well.
Making excuses to fool others is one thing, but trying to fool mulberries is another.
