"Don't touch me, are you being a pervert?" Aunt Bu glared at the person who was trying to pull her away.
"Hey, you old codger, you think you're so great?" A burly man with a full beard wiped his hands on his apron and walked over.
The old woman's eyes narrowed slightly, but when she saw her son and three burly men, she immediately straightened her chest and said, "Let me tell you, your little brat bumped into me, so you have to pay me!"
The bearded man clenched his fist, his expression full of threat.
Aunt Bu wasn't afraid at all. "You want to hit me?"
"Go ahead and hit me, hit me! Try touching me!"
Behind her, four tall, burly men stood menacingly.
Four to one, the bearded man suffered a complete defeat.
The bearded man, far from being afraid, drew ever closer.
The burly men behind Aunt Bu were also poised to strike, and just when things seemed about to spiral out of control, a turning point arrived:
"Brother Dou, what happened?"
A melodious female voice rang out, followed by a young female comrade squeezing in from the side.
Seeing the two sides locked in a standoff, the woman frowned, walked over to the bearded man, and asked softly, "Brother Dou, what happened?"
Then she looked at her son, whose face was covered in tears, and quickly picked him up, gently comforting him while the bearded man explained the whole story to her.
After listening, the woman looked over with a clear and sharp gaze.
Bu Ling was momentarily stunned.
I wasn't scared, it's just that this woman looks so familiar.
Who does it resemble again?
Li Yu!
Li Yu, living in a courtyard house in Gu County!
Li Yu, who followed her heartless father!
"Auntie, are you sure it was my son who hit you?"
Bling lowered his eyes to hide the strange look in them, and when he looked up again, his face was full of arrogance: "Of course!"
The woman didn't argue, but looked at the man beside her and said, "Brother Dou, go report it to the police."
The bearded man, seeing Li Yu's obedient demeanor, turned and left.
Aunt Bu's usually confident face showed a hint of panic, but she still stubbornly insisted, "Go ahead and call the police. If you hit me, you have to pay me. That's the same principle everywhere!"
Li Yu didn't say anything, but just gave him a disgusted look and continued to coax her son softly.
Seeing that no one was paying attention to her, Aunt Bu was not annoyed and just looked at Li Yu.
In her memory, Li Yu was still a quiet little girl who always kept her head down.
It seems that after several years, she has gotten married and had children.
It's a pity the timing isn't right now, otherwise Buling would really like to have a good chat with this girl, after all, it's good to meet an old friend in a foreign land.
After a brief standoff, the bearded man returned with two policemen.
Aunt Bu then put on her rogue act again, throwing a tantrum and shouting "hooligan," which gave the two policemen a real headache.
However, as a public servant, he still had to bite the bullet and give Aunt Bu a lecture.
Of course, Aunt Bu couldn't do that; she hadn't achieved her goal yet.
She immediately started wailing.
"My goodness, are you taking advantage of me because I'm an old woman from out of town?"
"Old man, those unreasonable people are bullying us, a widow and her orphans!"
"Big boss, open your eyes and see! Someone is bullying us poor folks!"
"This old woman can't live anymore! I can't go on living!"
"Eldest son, don't stop your mother. I'll go down and find your father now, so we won't get in each other's way."
"I need to go down and have a serious talk with the high-ranking leader. Once he leaves, we ordinary people have no way to survive!"
Thanks to the guidance of the older women, Bling is now adept at throwing tantrums and distorting the facts; there's no sign that she's faking it.
The two young police officers seemed rather at a loss.
The situation between the two sides reached a stalemate for a time.
All that could be heard on the field was Granny Bu's loud and forceful cursing.
To put it bluntly, it's obvious at a glance that Granny Bu is trying to extort money by taking advantage of her age.
But respecting the elderly and caring for the young is ingrained in the Chinese people; they always show deference to the elderly.
Especially when dealing with unreasonable people like Aunt Bu, they are at their wits' end.
They dared not curse or make a move.
Perhaps the main reason is to avoid upsetting people, which would give them more grounds to be blamed.
However, Li Yu is no ordinary person.
She came from the same courtyard house as Bu Ling, and there were no kind souls in that courtyard.
She grew up there and learned a lot.
She put her son down, smiled gently, turned back to her stall, picked up the meat cleaver that the bearded man had used, and turned back towards them menacingly.
She walked straight up to Granny Bu, the blade gleaming coldly in the sunlight. Li Yu remained calm and composed, looking down at Granny Bu.
“Auntie, aren’t you trying to extort money? Here, I’ll give you a chance.” Li Yu said, brandishing the knife twice.
"If you let me make a cut, I'll support you for the rest of your life and make sure you have meat to eat every day."
Aunt Bu: ...
Lao Fang's group of four: ...
Onlookers: ...
A smile flickered in Buling's eyes, but her face showed a hint of guilt as she said, her tone fierce but her voice weak: "Who are you trying to scare, you brat?"
"Come on, I'll stand right here and let you chop me up. Try touching me and see what happens." She acted like a complete scoundrel.
Li Yu suddenly grinned and said, "Okay."
She swung her right hand, which was toying with the knife, downwards sharply...
Ah~
The onlookers couldn't help but make a peace sign and cover their eyes, afraid to see Grandma Bu splatter blood on the spot.
"Ah~ Ah~"
Grandma Bu screamed shrilly, as if the knife had struck her own body.
