Chapter 405 Old Master Sang's Rationality

The old man woke up.

The news spread rapidly to the Sang family group chat.

Brother Sang, who was resting at home, along with Sang Shen and Shen Cifei, who were not officially employed, rushed to the hospital.

The first thing I saw when I stepped into the ward was the old man lying on the bed, smiling at us.

The moment she met her grandfather's eyes, Sangshen's eyes welled up with tears.

Even someone as strong as Brother Sang felt a little sad.

"Grandpa," they both called out in unison.

Grandpa Sang's eyes crinkled as he laboriously said, "Little Seven, Boss."

The two of them rushed to the old man's bedside and stared intently at him.

In the ward, Bu Ling stood at the head of the bed with her two children in her hands, Fang Sao stood on the other side, and Uncle Lin stood at the foot of the bed. Only Sang Zi stood in the corner, not daring to go forward.

Upon seeing this, Shen Ci silently walked to his side.

Sangzi noticed him approaching, turned around, and gave him a reassuring smile.

Shen Ci smiled as well. Neither of them spoke, but a tacit understanding flowed between them.

On the other side, everyone surrounded the old man, chattering and expressing their concern for quite some time.

Seeing the weariness in the old man's eyes, Aunt Fang interrupted everyone, "Alright, the doctor said the commander has just woken up and shouldn't overexert himself."

"Leave one person to accompany the commander; the rest of you may leave."

Brother Sang and the others did not object. After discussing it, they decided to let Brother Sang stay.

But at this moment, Grandpa Sang spoke up: "Xiao Si, stay here. You all go back."

Sang Zi, who was in the corner, was suddenly called out, and her heart skipped a beat.

He cleared his throat: "Okay."

Aunt Fang glanced at Sang Zi, then at the old man, her lips moved, but she didn't say anything.

After giving the old man a few words of advice, everyone left, leaving only the old man and Sang Zi in the ward.

After the door was closed, Grandpa Sang beckoned to Sang Zi: "Little Si, come here."

Sangzi rushed over and took her grandfather's hand: "Grandpa!"

Grandpa Sang looked at him kindly: "Come on, help Grandpa up."

Sangzi helped the old man sit up, gave him two pillows to lean on, and then covered him with a blanket before sitting down herself.

"Little Si, stop busying yourself, Grandpa wants to talk to you,"

Sang Zi was in great distress for a day and a night, so much so that he couldn't even care about his glasses, which he used to wear to show off. At this moment, the dark circles under his eyes were clearly visible.

He sat down and looked at Grandpa Sang. "Grandpa, I..."

"Little Si, are you serious?" Grandpa Sang interrupted him before he could finish speaking, asking the first question he asked.

That day, in order to coax his great-granddaughter who had skipped school, he took her for a stroll around Peking University.

Before she had walked more than a few steps, the sharp-eyed Mianmian spotted Xiao Si and followed him without a second thought.

Little did I know, I would witness such a scene.

That scene was too much of a shock to him; he couldn't catch his breath and lost consciousness.

When I woke up, I was in a hospital room.

The old man leaned against the pillow, gazing intently at his grandson.

This grandson was the most reassuring one from childhood to adulthood, and he too was an orphan.

But compared to the younger Sangshen, the obedient and sensible Xiao Si was unconsciously overlooked by them.

Looking back now, this grandson was not even eight years old when he lost his parents.

Over the years, he hasn't received much attention from his family, but he has still grown up to be outstanding, so outstanding that he makes them proud.

Therefore, after he calmed down, he carefully reviewed Xiao Si's actions over the years.

It must be admitted that this grandson is a rational and stubborn person. Once he makes a decision, it must be after careful consideration.

However, even so, the old man still didn't want to believe that Xiao Si had fallen in love with a man.

This is a huge challenge to his understanding over the years.

"Xiao Si, are you...?"

“Grandpa, I’m serious,” Sang Zi said firmly, her resolute tone moving the old man to the point of heartache.

"Xiao Si, you..."

"Grandpa, I like Xiao Ci. I like him so much that I want to be with him for the rest of my life." Sang Zi expressed her feelings once again.

He knew that his and Xiao Ci's future would be difficult, but he and Xiao Ci would face it together.

"Grandpa, I know you don't understand, but please believe me, okay?" Sangzi grabbed the old man's hand and looked at him expectantly.

He lost both his parents at a young age and was raised by his grandfather. He didn't want to disappoint his grandfather, but he also didn't want to give up on Xiao Ci.

The old man enjoyed this rare moment of intimacy from his grandson, but he sighed deeply: "Little Si, your path is going to be very difficult."

Seeing that his grandson was about to speak, he said, "Don't say anything yet, listen to me."

"I know you're not afraid and don't care, but have you thought about the future?"

"What will you do when you two get old and have no children? What will you do when people find out about your relationship and you can't bear the gossip and strange looks?"

"Little Si, Grandpa knows you are excellent and smart, but the future is uncertain."

Sangzi had considered these things as well, but said, "Grandpa, I don't know what the future holds, I only know that we are happy now."

"As for the future, Grandpa, you said it yourself, nobody knows. You have to believe in your grandson; he's someone who can take things in stride."

Sang Zi appears gentle, but is actually quite stubborn at heart.

To put it sentimentally, he doesn't like men; it's just that the person he likes happens to be a man.

He was never afraid of wind and rain, nor of the future.

The old man stared intently at his grandson, trying to see into his heart through his eyes.
