"What good news?"
Sang Zi pulled Shen Ci to sit next to Sang Shen, "Could you please add two more sets of bowls and chopsticks, Aunt Fang?"
"I received news that my second brother's family is coming back."
"Xiao Er?" Brother Sang asked, "Is he able to get out?"
Sangzi accepted the bowl and chopsticks handed to her by Aunt Fang and thanked her politely: "Second Brother and the others boarded the train at noon. They must be planning to give us a surprise."
Of course, his second brother's little tricks were nothing compared to what he had learned. His second brother's family had just boarded the train when he received the news.
If you count the time, none of us here have seen Brother Sang for more than ten years. The last time we met was when Sangzhen and Buling got engaged.
In the blink of an eye, their daughter is already in junior high school.
"Good, good, good." Brother Sang said "good" three times in a row, his happiness was palpable.
Because of the good news from their hometown, the whole family enjoyed the meal very much.
However, for Yu Buling, before his second brother Sang even arrived, another piece of good news came.
The next day, she went to see the land that belonged to her and made a rough estimate.
The land isn't very big, only about five acres, but the location is good enough.
She knew that a large commercial district would be built here in the future, and that in thirty years, every inch of land would be incredibly valuable.
However, looking at the row of bungalows around her, she wondered if she should buy the surrounding area as well.
In recent years, the booming real estate industry has begun to take shape.
As more and more people enter this industry, housing prices are being driven higher and higher. If she wants to buy it, she'll probably have to spend a lot of money.
However, since she has money, it's not a big problem.
The problem is that she hasn't figured out what she wants to do yet, and her desire to buy houses in the surrounding area is purely driven by greed.
Suppressing the urge that was stirring in her heart, she walked home in a daze.
"Lingling?"
Bu Ling looked up and asked, "Brother?"
“Lingling.” Buyi smiled.
Bling was overjoyed; she hadn't seen her brother for almost a year.
The last time I saw her was with her brother last year.
There was no way around it; her brother was a soldier, and obeying orders was his duty.
Four years ago, he set off with his unit and has not returned since.
"Brother, why are you back?"
Buling jumped off her bicycle and rushed to her brother. She took his hand and looked him over from left to right. When she saw that he was not missing any limbs, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Are you still leaving?" She was worried sick about the constant border clashes these past few years.
Bu Yi patted her head and pushed her bicycle over: "I'm not leaving anymore. I'm not leaving again this time."
Bling was overjoyed to hear this.
She took out her key, opened the door, pulled Bu Yi's sleeve, and led him into the house. She poured him a glass of water, then sat down, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Bu Yi.
Bu Yi chuckled softly, grasped the water glass, and briefly recounted his experiences over the past few years to Bu Ling.
However, they mostly report good news and not bad news, and they skip over things that they can't talk about.
Buling knew her brother was definitely hiding a lot, but now that he was standing right in front of her, she decided not to press him for details.
"Lingling, I've been transferred back to Kyoto." Finally, Bu Yi shared another piece of good news.
"Really?" Bling was pleasantly surprised to hear this.
Buyi was supposed to be transferred to Kyoto, but in reality, the place where the troops were stationed was 50 miles away from Kyoto, the kind that takes two hours to cycle there.
Now that Buyi is saying this, does that mean her brother has been transferred to Kyoto?
Thinking of this, she looked at Buyi expectantly.
Buyi nodded slightly.
"That's great, bro, that's really great!"
Bu Yi was also in a good mood. He exchanged a glance with Bu Ling and laughed heartily.
Being transferred back to Kyoto meant he would be closer to his sister's family and could see them more often.
For Buyi, who only had one relative left, this was more important than anything else.
After talking for a while, Bu Ling noticed the fatigue in Bu Yi's eyes, so she got up and went to the kitchen to cook a bowl of clear soup noodles. After he drank it, she urged Bu Yi to go to sleep.
Buyi didn't refuse and obediently went to sleep.
In the evening, Sang Mianmian and Liu Xiaotian came home from school.
"mom."
"Aunt Bu."
Bling poked her head out: "Shh, keep your voice down, Uncle is sleeping."
Sang Mianmian put down her schoolbag. "Uncle's back?"
"Um."
Bling left with the words, "Put down your schoolbag and come in to help."
Sang Mianmian and Liu Xiaotian obediently did as instructed.
However, upon entering the kitchen and seeing the abundance of ingredients, Mianmian asked somewhat nervously, "Mom, are you cooking?"
Bling knew exactly what she was thinking: "No, wait for your dad to come back and do it."
Not only did Sang Mianmian breathe a sigh of relief, but Liu Xiaotian also breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Aunt Bu's cooking skills are really... well, barely satisfactory!
When Sangshen got home from get off work, before he could even have a sip of water, his dear wife stuffed an apron into his hands and handed him a spatula: "Hurry up, we've been waiting for you to come back."
"Wife, what good news is there today? Why is it so lavish?"
"My brother is back."
Sangshen immediately understood; it turned out that her brother-in-law had returned, which made no difference.
When Buyi woke up, he was greeted by his enthusiastic niece.
He immediately smiled and said, "Mianmian."
"Uncle~"
Liu Xiaotian followed behind and greeted him politely, "Uncle Bu."
After a lively family reunion dinner, Buyi stayed at Buling's house.
He has a seven-day vacation this time, so he can have a good rest for a while.
He stayed at the Bling family's house for the past seven days.
