"Great-Grandpa, we're back."
"Mianmian and Xiaotian are back? Come quick, look who's here!" The old man waved.
Sang Mianmian and Liu Xiaotian looked over in confusion. A man and a woman were sitting on either side of their great-grandfather, their expressions intimate.
Thinking of her second uncle whom she had been thinking about lately, Mianmian immediately said, "Second Uncle, Second Aunt."
Liu Xiaotian: "Second Uncle Sang, Second Aunt Sang."
"Good boy." Second Brother Sang smiled.
He took two red envelopes out of his shirt pocket and handed them over.
Sang Mianmian first looked at the old man, and only after seeing him nod did she accept the gift: "Thank you, Second Uncle."
Liu Xiaotian followed suit: "Thank you, Uncle Sang."
Uncle Sang smiled and pointed to the woman, saying, "This is your second aunt."
"Hello, Second Aunt."
"Old man, what about me?" A familiar voice came from behind.
Sang Mianmian and Liu Xiaotian turned around in surprise: "It's you?"
The newcomer was the greasy young man who had been blocking their way outside. He forced a smile and said, "Woman, are you surprised?"
Sang Mianmian: ...
Liu Xiaotian: ...
Neither of them was stupid, and they naturally guessed the man's identity.
Sure enough, Uncle Sang's face darkened, he glared at his debt-collecting son, and introduced them to each other: "Xiao Shao, this is your sister Mianmian, and this is your brother Xiao Tian."
“Mianmian, Xiaotian, this is Sangshao, my son.”
They're one of our own!
Sang Mianmian looked at Sang Shao, who was winking at her, and smiled. That makes things easier.
"Hello, Brother Sangshao."
"Hello, Brother Sangshao."
"Hello, beautiful sister, Brother Xiaotian."
Uncle Sang's temple throbbed with a vein, and he squeezed out a sentence through gritted teeth: "You brat, you better speak properly."
Sang Shao ignored him: "Beautiful lady, we're so lucky to have each other!"
"Sang, Shao!" Aunt Sang said in a sinister voice, while cracking her fists.
Sang Shao shuddered, instinctively wanting to run away.
But seeing that his mother only clenched her fists and showed no intention of standing up, he stood firm and didn't lose face on his first day at his great-grandfather's house.
"Mom," he called softly.
"Speak properly," Aunt Sang gently instructed.
Sang Shao immediately turned his head and said obediently, "Hello, Sister Mianmian, hello, Brother Xiaotian."
Sang Mianmian smiled like an older sister: "Little Shao, you're a good boy."
Upon seeing her smile, Liu Xiaotian knew she was up to something again. He glanced sympathetically at the oblivious Sang Shao and chose to remain silent.
A short while later, Bu Ling and Aunt Fang returned.
"Waiter?"
"Second Brother?"
"Sister-in-law, Sister-in-law Fang, it's been a long time!" Second Brother Sang said with a smile. "This is my wife, Pei Shengnan."
"Hello, Second Sister-in-law, my name is Buling."
Hello Shengnan.
Pei Shengnan stood up and shook hands with the two of them one by one: "Hello, hello, I've heard so much about you."
"Are you cooking? I'll help you," Pei Shengnan said warmly.
Young Sang Shao glanced at his mother in fear, but dared not utter a sound because of her earlier threat.
In her heart, she screamed: No! Comrade Pei Shengnan's cooking is deadly!
Fortunately, it seemed that Sister Fang heard what young Sang Shao was thinking, "This is such a small matter, why do you need to help? I can do it myself very quickly."
Seeing that Pei Shengnan was about to say something, Aunt Fang said, "You must be tired from your journey. Take a good rest and chat with the Commander."
Hearing what Fang Sao said, Pei Shengnan gave up and sat down again.
On the other side, Bling knew his own skills and didn't want to humiliate himself, so he walked over and sat down on a single sofa.
"Mianmian, did you greet anyone?"
Sang Mianmian stood next to her and said, "She called out."
Bu Ling pulled her hand and sat her on the armrest of the sofa, while Liu Xiaotian sat on the other side. "Grandpa, where are the mulberries?"
"It seems something happened to Dongzi, so he went with him," Grandpa Sang replied.
"What's up?"
"They didn't say."
"Alright."
Buling planned to ask Sangshen when she returned, as she was very concerned about Xie Dong's company.
Although she may not have much business talent, she is certainly well-informed and knowledgeable.
Everyone found their seats and sat down, leaving only the young Sang Shao standing in the middle of the living room, looking quite helpless.
Grandpa Sang didn't notice him for a while, and hurriedly called out, "Xiao Shao, come and sit down."
Sang Shao glanced at the two remaining seats on the sofa and shook his head: "Great-Grandpa, I'll stand. I like standing."
Wouldn't it be easier for his parents to beat him up if he sat down next to them?
That evening, Sister Fang prepared a table full of dishes to celebrate Brother Sang's return.
After dinner, Grandpa Sang urged the family of three to go to bed.
The Sang family of three didn't refuse; they were really tired. After saying goodnight, they went upstairs.
Because there are enough rooms, even young Sang Shao can have his own room.
This gave Sang Mianmian room to maneuver.
In the dead of night, when everyone was still fast asleep.
Sang Mianmian tiptoed out of the room, turned around, and gently closed the door.
"Mianmian?" A voice came from the darkness.
Sang Mianmian paused.
"It's me."
This time, Sang Mianmian recognized the voice. In the darkness, she glared at the person and said, "Liu Xiaotian, keep your voice down."
Liu Xiaotian nodded silently, not asking Sang Mianmian what she was going to do, and followed silently behind her.
Sang Mianmian went to the kitchen to get a handful of [something], a slight smile playing on her lips, and went upstairs to Sang Shao's room...
