It's been almost three months since Bu Ling moved into the compound, and she's only had one brief encounter with Jiang Hua. However, both left a difficult impression on each other. So, unless Bu Ling causes trouble, Jiang Hua is too busy to deal with her and has been avoiding her.
Perhaps it was because Bu Ling left such a deep impression when she first entered the compound that no one has bothered her for so long. Even the children avoid her, clearly indicating that she has been disciplined by adults.
This was purely a misunderstanding on Bling's part. Everyone in the compound was hoping to build a good relationship with Bling so they could inform their families if she had any job openings. After all, Bling had no other relatives here besides her brother.
The siblings don't need it, and if they find out, they might tell their neighbors, whom they see every day. So everyone in the courtyard tells their children to be polite to Sister Buling.
After that, Bling finally had two months of peace and quiet.
She pushed her bicycle into the house, put down the cloth bag hanging from the handlebars, and looked next door. Only Chen Cong, a child, was home.
Chen Cong is in first grade at the primary school near the machinery factory. He goes to and from school with the other children in the compound every day and is very independent.
In this day and age, there aren't that many cars. As long as you're careful on the road, you won't have any major problems. Besides, most families now have several children, and no one has the time to pick them up and drop them off every day; they're mostly left to their own devices.
"Congcong, your grandma's back. Tell her to go next door and find your sister. She has something to tell your grandma," Buling instructed.
The child who was doing her homework nodded seriously: "I understand, Sister Buling, I will tell Grandma."
"Good boy!" Bling rubbed his buzz cut, and under the child's resentful gaze, pulled out a piece of fruit candy.
I was delighted to see the child's bright, sparkling eyes.
"Thank you, Sister Buling."
"Eat it, but don't tell anyone."
Chen Cong nodded obediently. He knew that his grandmother had told him not to tell anyone when he ate something good.
