Chapter 66 Creating Opportunities

Sister-in-law Mo seemed to have timed it perfectly; she came over as soon as the two had put down their bowls and chopsticks.

She knocked on the door, pushed it open, and entered. Seeing the two people sitting across from her eating, Sister Mo felt she had hit the nail on the head.

She said, "Why would someone choose to rent a place here instead of living in a nice apartment? It turns out their real intentions aren't what they seem!"

"Xiao Sang, are you full? Shall I take you to meet some people?"

"I'm full, Sister-in-law Mo. Wait for me a moment, I'll be right there." Then she looked at Bu Ling.

Bling immediately said, "I'll wash the dishes, you don't need to worry about it."

Sangshen nodded, left Buling's room, went back to her own room to get a bag of candy, and said to Sister Mo, "I'm all better, Sister Mo."

Sister Mo smiled at Bu Ling, then turned and left.

Bling finished off the last bit of food, cleared away the dishes, and took them to the tap outside to wash them.

While scrolling through the page, I watched as Sister Mo introduced the residents of the front yard to Sang Shen, just like Aunt Tian had introduced them to her before.

Sangshen was handsome and generous, so no one gave him a hard time. Soon, he and Sister Mo had finished touring the entire courtyard.

Sangshen didn't really care about the residents of this courtyard; his only goal was the little black girl, so he figured he'd just fool her and be done with it.

Back in the front yard, I said goodbye to Bling and then went back to my room.

Back inside, he closed the door, plopped down in the recliner, and rocked back and forth, in a very good mood.

They've already had dinner with the little black girl, so what's to come?

Buling was overjoyed, mainly because she envisioned a bright future for herself. Although cohabitation wasn't realistic, friends could still get together for meals every now and then, right? She'd provide the ingredients next time.

The two had completely opposite ideas, but they shared a common satisfaction with tonight's dinner and were already planning for next time.

The next morning, as Bu Ling was leaving home, she ran into Tie He. She gave him a wink, and after receiving a nod from Tie He, she rode her bicycle out the door.

Mulberry, who witnessed this scene through the window from inside the house: .....

Good thing he moved in; otherwise, if the corner of the wall had been pried open, he wouldn't even have a place to cry.

On the other side, Bling rode his bicycle, humming a song, happily starting his daily grind of manual labor.

Around noon, the state-run restaurant became more crowded, and it was at this time that Tiehe stepped into the restaurant.

She pretended to order a bowl of egg noodles, and smiled at Bling as she handed her the money. Bling gave her a reassuring look.

Mulberry: Pinch the chopsticks tightly

After collecting the money and tickets, Bu Ling went to the kitchen and watched Wu Yuanyuan adding seasonings according to Grandpa Tan's instructions.

"Sister Yuanyuan, how much longer do we have to work?"

Hearing the noise, Wu Yuanyuan turned around: "Almost there, almost there, this is the last batch, there are no more ingredients."

Bling nodded

"Then come out with me when you're done with your work."

Wu Yuanyuan didn't ask why: "Okay, wait until I finish cooking the last dish."

Han Yu's face twisted in pain upon hearing their conversation. Ever since his affair with Tan Xiao was discovered, his master had never allowed him near the stove again, instead showering a brat with less experience than him with preferential treatment.

How could he not resent this? He married a wife who not only failed to give him what he wanted, but also wiped out his entire fortune. He'd really lost everything!

Bu Ling noticed the distorted expression on Han Yu's face, but she didn't care. She had a grudge against Han Yu and was still picking on him.

The more indignant he is, the better, because that's how he'll be more likely to go astray.

Having received a clear answer from Wu Yuanyuan, she turned and went back to the counter.

After working for another ten minutes or so, Wu Yuanyuan came out and hung up the "Sold Out" sign. She said to Buling, "Shall we go now, or should we eat first?"

"Let's eat first, I'm a little hungry." We can't delay eating.

"Okay, I'll go to the kitchen and cook now." She's currently the one preparing all the staff meals.

Bling nodded

Seeing Wu Yuanyuan return to the kitchen, she waved to Tie He.

Tiehe had been watching this area closely. When he saw Buling's movements, his eyes lit up, and he immediately stood up and strode to the counter.

Mulberry: ...

He quickly finished his meal, pretended to return the dishes, stood up demurely, and walked towards the two people who were whispering.

"I understand," Tiehe said obediently.

Bling gave him an approving look, and then saw Mulberry walking over.

"Mulberries, have you finished eating?"

"Yes." He handed the bowl and plate to Buling, then casually asked, "Isn't this Brother Tie? What are you all doing here?" (What are you whispering about behind my back?)

Bu Ling chuckled, "Tie He and his brother need my help with something!"

"Oh!" I don't believe it.

"If you need any help, feel free to ask me. I'm very free," Sangshen said with a fake smile.

Tie He blushed slightly upon hearing this and shook his head: "With Xiao Bu helping me, that's enough. Thank you, Brother Xiao Sang."

Mulberry: Why are you blushing?

Does he have ulterior motives towards the little black girl?

He stared at Tiehe with an unfriendly expression.

"Mulberry, if you're free later, you can come with us," Buling said. Anyway, one more person wouldn't make a difference.

"I'm free, I'm very free!" Mulberry immediately replied.

"Then it's settled."

The two men outside the counter nodded in unison.

Bling closed the counter window with relief and went to have lunch.

Today's staff meal consisted of two corn buns, each the size of a woman's fist, and a wild vegetable soup. It was very simple, but no one complained.

Bu Ling and Wu Yuanyuan quickly finished their lunch, told Manager Zhu, and pushed their bicycles out of the state-run restaurant.

Only then did Wu Yuanyuan ask, "Where are we going?"
